The media always seemed overly obsessed with Beyonce this decade in a way that her performance on the charts has simply NOT reflected. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGxe83lXgJgLook at the way SNL tries to play up Beyonce's popularity. Despite her having a grand total of 1 top 10 his these last 6 years. Especially the completely backwards way they compare her to Rihanna, the #2 artist of the decade. That should be indication that the charts don't matter as much as people on this forum think. Also, Beyonce only had 4 days of sales with exclusive streaming on a platform that has a minuscule market share. Outside of the pop charts and the Hot 100, her chart performance has been fine. Her ability to go on sold out worldwide stadium tours seem to solidify her popularity to me a lot more than those quick, little singles would. But stars that have a big name usually do well on tour even after they can't have hit albums or singles anymore, isn't it so? You can easily look at top grossing tours and find artists that aren't really relevant anymore, so I'm not sure if tours are an indication of current success.

Nothing is a sole indicator. It all goes hand in hand with each other.

Those #s are not that surprising though, Drake has always had a loyal fanbase but now there are lots of casual buyers/streamers too with the smash hits such as Hotline Bling and One Dance.
Views could be his biggest success to date. TC is 4xP isn't it? This will probably at least come close.

I think he's doing way better, the point is if it will have longevity to reach 2M

areyoureadytojump Could you provide an update for most top 10's on the Billboard. Curious to see where Prince lands after adding more to his total.

The Streams are ridiculous.
He's already at 91M after just 2 days.
He will most likely double Bey's streams.
200M here we come

Lowered estimates... hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=300852Monday, May 2, 2016 NEW RELEASES: RETAIL VIEWSAfter its first full day of sales, Drake’s Views had generated around 630k in equivalent album sales, confirming what he announced from the stage at his album launch party in Toronto Friday night. By the end of Saturday, Views had sold more in two days than Beyoncé’s Lemonade sold in its first six. Projections are now in the range of 900k units for the album alone, with TEA and SEA totals (including 100m+ streams) possibly driving it north of 1m. (Note that all tracks but two are bundled with the album.) This is without physical product, as Views is an Apple exclusive through Friday (5/6). Drake (YMCMB/Republic) 850-900k album, 1m+ SPS Now 57 (NOW) 37-42k Rob Zombie (UMe) 33-38k, 34-40k Sixx A.M. (Eleven Seven) 15-18k, 16-19k Martina McBride (NASH ICON) 13-15k, 14-16k Empire: Season 2, Vol. 2 (Columbia) 11-13k, 13-15k

Damn Bey, look at those streams. Already up to 51M.
If that chart is to be believed, she got 33M in one day, increasing more than drake now. Doesn't seem believeable.

Drake is actually dropping pretty fast after what he did in 1 day. Pretty frontloaded stuff it seems
