I’m feeling too uninspired to check, but am curious for those who may know: Any recently registered cowrites or holds for CU7?

Only just now checked in on this thread and since I don't have SiriusXM I'm just now listening to the set. What a set it was! Many thanks for sharing! Those low notes were lovely, coupled with those falsettos? And that "Drinking Alone" vocal was a masterclass. CU7 is about to be vocally the best yet, mark my words. I'm not prepared. Incredible set all around. PS. The fact we got SWISLY made me pinch myself! Beautiful performance. In a perfect world, she’d have thrown in “You Won’t Find This” for good measure, but such is only my dream. This 1000000%. I still believe it'd have been another #1 for her and is a massive missed opportunity. Imo it should've been released instead of "Last Name" and should've been given a wonderful video. It would've been an even more phenomenal era had it played out like that.

We're playing the singles game in Kelly Clarkson's thread...may as well play it here too. :) In an ideal world, Carrie's singles would have gone:
SOME HEARTS: 1) Jesus, Take the Wheel 2) Wasted 3) Before He Cheats 4) The Night Before (Life Goes On) 5) Don't Forget to Remember Me
CARNIVAL RIDE: 1) All-American Girl 2) Just a Dream 3) Get Out of This Town 4) You Won't Find This 5) I Told You So
PLAY ON: 1) Cowboy Casanova 2) What Can I Say (w/ Sons of Sylvia) 3) Quitter 4) Someday When I Stop Loving You 5) Undo It
BLOWN AWAY: 1) Good Girl 2) Blown Away 3) Two Black Cadillacs 4) See You Again 5) Do You Think About Me
STORYTELLER: 1) Dirty Laundry 2) Church Bells 3) Heartbeat 4) Chaser 5) Relapse
CRY PRETTY: *Cry Pretty as a buzz single* 1) End Up With You 2) Low 3) Backsliding 4) That Song That We Used to Make Love To 5) Drinking Alone

If we cannot agree that “That’s Where It Is” remains a standout track from Carrie’s catalog 15 years into her career, can we even call ourselves a fan base?

Glory to god, Some Hearts is being released to vinyl on June 26! Double LP set, w/ the B-side of the second pressing being a custom etching. Available for preorder on Amazon.
I wonder if they’re doing something special since this year marks 15 years since the album came out?

Maybe fresh studio recordings or live recordings? A tribute to the biggest country album of the last 15 years is definitely fitting, and would be great to stir up some momentum!

These are all newly registered co-writes, but I’m pretty sure they were written for Cry Pretty - thanks to CarrieFans user harissacbr for the find:
Shut Up And Kiss Me (Underwood, Garcia, Brett James) Silver and Gold (Underwood, Garcia, James) Take Me Out (Underwood, Garcia, Hillary Lindsey) Way to Go (Underwood, Garcia, Dave Barnes)
I’ve sort of given up on finding “new” co-writes because I think Carrie has made it clear that publishers are not to register her work at the time of creation. She likes to keep us in the dark.

DA in the Top 10 (Mediabase), her fitness/health secrets, a Platinum certification, an impeccable Stagecouch set, and now this?! Take my coins Queen! I just now got CP on vinyl last week and own all but CR on CD! This is exciting!!! Is that custom etching gonna have audio or is it like the Storyteller vinyl where there's no audio on the second B-side? Replying to the co-writes as well: I would LOVE to hear "Shut Up and Kiss Me"

“Renegade Runaway” is underrated. The production is insane and there are lots of cool vocal bits.
Hopefully Queen of Alliteration strikes again on CU7. I just know she’s got the title “Lustful Lothario” in a notebook somewhere.

Listen: If there is any new content from the album era on that vinyl, I will fucking lose it. I cannot, CANNOT breathe at the mere prospect of such. (This will serve as a good jumping-off point at my next therapy session.)

Interesting! I'm wondering how this can work given that she's no longer with Arista, re: can there be new recordings on the vinyl? Obviously, they can simply "re-release" the album but unless it's an old song that was previously recorded, wouldn't they need her to come back in and record for them if there was to be new material on it?

Listen: If there is any new content from the album era on that vinyl, I will f**king lose it. I cannot, CANNOT breathe at the mere prospect of such. (This will serve as a good jumping-off point at my next therapy session.) I looked on Amazon and her official store website and when I checked the tracklist, it just had the 13 songs. Well, the one on Carrie's store said it had all 14 songs (with "Inside Your Heaven" being track 14 of course) while the one I pre-ordered on Amazon has the 13 standard songs. It's much like Storyteller's vinyl in that regard: Storyteller's second disc had a blank B-side with the title etched onto the vinyl, and Some Hearts seems like it'll just have its own etching on the B-side of disc 2. While I pre-ordered the vinyl from Amazon, I also went ahead and bought Carnival Ride on CD since I had already owned every album (including the Greatest Hits set) except for that album, which I find has become quite hard to find in stores nowadays, even in bargain bins. My copy of the CD comes within the weekend, and then my Carrie CD collection will FINALLY be complete Interesting! I'm wondering how this can work given that she's no longer with Arista, re: can there be new recordings on the vinyl? Obviously, they can simply "re-release" the album but unless it's an old song that was previously recorded, wouldn't they need her to come back in and record for them if there was to be new material on it? I feel like if there were to be new recordings, it'd have to be an agreement with Arista that they get some of the profit. Or, Carrie could just buy her masters from them and freely own everything. Looking at the tracklist for the vinyl, I think it's likely just the album being released to the format by Arista which must mean some kind of agreement was worked out between Arista and UMG. I have no clue how that would all work tho or if I'm even warm lol. I do hope that this isn't the only celebration of the album tho and that we get some more era-specific goodies from the album. Of course, it's alright either way to me since having this album on vinyl is something magical.

In my heart of hearts, I carry a torch for any scraps left on Dan Huff’s cutting-room floor. Think of all the gems we’re missing.

I just saw this on Google...can y'all imagine if this was the cover of the album? Of course, with the title being Cry Pretty, I see why they chose an intimate photo of her literally "crying pretty," but like...this concept tho.

Cinematographer deleted Diez has updated his official site. His latest work was on a music video for the Carrie / David Bisbal collaboration. It’s titled “Tears of Gold.” www.pablodiezdp.com/cv

Wasn't that video filmed back before the virus stuff started? Why hasn't it come out yet?

Wasn't that video filmed back before the virus stuff started? Why hasn't it come out yet?Likely because UMG was wanting to focus first on using their resources to get "Drinking Alone" as high up at radio as they can, which they will likely continue to do for at least the next month. I wouldn't be shocked if "Tears of Gold" still isn't coming out until about the middle to end of June.
Also, just a bit of speculation, which I'm likely VERY wrong about: On the website Typo shared, the director's addition of TOG to his resumé listed Carrie's name first under artist. I wonder if this is Carrie ft. David, and is once again a between-the-eras one-off single, or if it's perhaps (this is where I know I'm very likely wrong) from CU7. I wonder about it being CU7 because of the way UMG is known for releasing multiple singles before an album drops, sometimes over a year until the project comes out. A prime example of that would be Keith Urban's album Ripcord. It was released May 2016, but its lead single was released clear out in June 2015. (In an eerily similar release to CP, his previous album Fuse had been released September 10, 2013.) So following that, if UMG were to be that similar with everything, CP was released September 14, 2018 and CU7 would be out May 2021, with "Tears of Gold" out in June 2020. "Tears Of Gold" is likely just a one-off, and maybe not even Carrie's song, idk. I'm just excited lol.
