Is it just me? or this song is moving very slowly? I wouldn't say it is moving slow. Only three songs with less time on the Airplay Chart are ahead of "Life Changes". "Downtown's Dead" is at #17 after three weeks, "Cry Pretty" is at #13 after eight weeks, "Get Along" is at #7 after nine weeks. Kenny and Carrie's songs are lead singles which from big names like those typically fly up a little quicker and Sam Hunt's might not be a lead, technically, but it is acting like one with the big break after "Body Like A Back Road". Being the fourth single off of the album, I'd say it's moving along just fine!

Is it just me? or this song is moving very slowly? :( Seems like it unfortunately. Its streaming is pretty pathetic. Doesn't help he had four songs in Hot Country for a long time, including "Leave Right Now", which isn't even a single and was almost at the top of the playlist for literally no reason.

This is moving very quickly for a fourth single. I don't think there is any reason to panic. It won't be the huge career sized hit like "Marry Me" is/was but its going to be a hit for Thomas.

Is it just me? or this song is moving very slowly? :( Not moving slowly, but right now it is acting like a song that may stall out in the teens. A quick rise due to it being TR but it has slowed tremendously recently. I think it could be due to the clunky production, very personal storytelling, and high recurrent play for Marry Me.

According to Kworb, "Unforgettable" is getting more play than "Marry Me" at this point. It'd be sad if this would stall out like "Vacation" or "Beer With Jesus" did. Sales are actually okay for this.

Was surprised that Thomas was not at the CMT Awards last night. He was up for multiple awards for multiple videos. He posted on Instagram that he and his wife were at the NBA Finals game in Cleveland instead. Not that Thomas really needs any help getting more exposure at this point, but a CMT Awards performance of "Life Changes" would have been fun to see!

I wonder if the season has to do with any of it. "Marry Me" felt like a bigger hit than "Unforgettable" was (and thus felt like it would get more recurrent airplay) but "Unforgettable" sounds summery so maybe that's part of the explanation? As for this song, it's not moving slowly at all! Most artists would dream of a fourth single moving up this fast.

He posted on Instagram that he and his wife were at the NBA Finals game in Cleveland instead. Not that Thomas really needs any help getting more exposure at this point, but a CMT Awards performance of "Life Changes" would have been fun to see! It sounds like you basically said it all, lol. He apparently had another engagement that coincided with the show, and tickets to something like an NBA Finals game sounds like a reasonable excuse for him to pass on the awards show. According to Kworb, "Unforgettable" is getting more play than "Marry Me" at this point. It'd be sad if this would stall out like "Vacation" or "Beer With Jesus" did. Sales are actually okay for this. As for this song, it's not moving slowly at all! Most artists would dream of a fourth single moving up this fast. I think that + the fact that "Unforgettable" clocks in as one of his shortest hits in length are contributing to that. "Marry Me" was unquestionably the bigger hit, but it's a slower and longer song so it isn't that surprising to see radio opting to slot a shorter, more uptempo track into their playlists at this time.

Not worried about chart positioning or the speed to which it'll move. I suspect this will end up at number one.
I really like the lyrics and their details and how he related them back to the chorus about Life Changes.
Not a huge fan of the production or that it doesn't have that country sound. Why do I think Michael Scott is going to show up at some point?
Anyway, this might be my favorite single of his.

Debut at #190 with 204,205 streams on US Spotify. This should end up to be lesser hit than Marry Me but still a sizable one.

That gain is HUGE considering Drake debuted like, 20 tracks.

Love it, even if it is kinda predictable and boring (the video). We're lucky that he showed a bit of skin lol XD

This won't get anywhere near the massive views "Marry Me" got. I see this more having "Unforgettable" level views, if not worse. Aside from that, I hope this can get Top 10 before Florida Georgia Line snags the spot.

It wasn't bad for a tour video, but at the same time I still wanted a little more from it.

I still haven't heard this once on any local station. WKCQ and WCEN both show very few (<10 spins) for this in the past couple weeks, and unless there's a glitch on Tunegenie, WKJC has only played it once this week. None of these stations seem to be keeping his previous songs in heavy rotation, either. Strange.

I can't be the only one that heard the similarities?? I literally thought this song was sampling Trumpets the first time I heard it.

TR on Bobby Bones now. Said “Sixteen” is the next single! "Life Changes" will take a few more weeks to peak, but the speed of singles for Thomas is pretty impressive. The Life Changes album came out September 8, 2017 and they will essentially be on the fifth single already just a year after album release.

Ofcourse Sixteen is, yawn. I would've gladly taken DALB, Grave or even a re-release with new songs instead.

To expand a little on the Bobby Bones interview, TR also said that they'll be heading into the studio soon to start recording his next record and that we should have a brand new single early in 2019. So unless something changes it looks to be "Life Changes", "Sixteen" and then a brand new single.
