I’m pretty sure I saw this has the highest callout on any format, so not sure what to say. It’s killing it on Hot AC probably even to a higher degree as that chart moves slower than Manchester Orchestra charts.

Africa is just a great song in general, whether Toto or Weezer is playing it. The song is wonderful to listen to and I think audiences are gravitating towards it because it's such a great song.

Not surprised alt is picking up on it so quickly.

I know I'm a little late, but I really like this cover and I'm glad that it's doing well.

We should all place bets on the next cover song to blow up.

In just 8 weeks, this cover song, is up to #8 on Billboard Alternative. The question is? Who did Rivers Cuomo blow, to get this song, this high, in such a short time? The Internet.

I wouldn't be surprised if FFDP's "Blue on Black" cover becomes another hit for them (on active at least) considering how well it's selling.

I would say Theory's cover version of "Wicked Game" even though it's off to a slow start. I wouldn't be surprised if FFDP's "Blue on Black" cover becomes another hit for them (on active at least) considering how well it's selling. They might as well release an entire album of covers. Now I'm wondering who has charted the most covers on Active. I know Manson has about three or four.

Let’s see, they got Bad Company, House of the Rising Sun, Gone Away...is that it for their singles? I do know they certainly have more on their albums.

This is surging on Hot AC too. This will have the biggest bullet there soon as well. Looks like Weezer may see their first top 10 hit at hot AC since “Beverly Hills”?

This probably has the weakest drum fill I have ever heard with that lead-in to the chorus.

I Love Rock n Roll by Halestorm Give Me One Reason by Dorothy Take Me Home by Foo Fighters Round and Round by Pop Evil I Wish It Would Rain Down by Five Finger Death Punch Total Eclipse of the Heart by Shinedown

After 21 Pilots concerning update, Weezer jumps to #3 with +500 bullet. This looks likely for #1 next week, and surging on Hot AC to #16. Pretty mindblowing when you think about it.

When I was a sophomore in college I took a recording technology class with a professor who put together music for dressage on the side, and one day of class he just showed us a piece he put together for a dressage...thing, and it just happened to be an instrumental version of Africa, and he played the little synth part like 40 times in the hour.
Ever since that day, I can not listen to Africa without thinking about horses dancing to it and it honest to god triggers to me. I heard Africa more times in that one class period than I ever needed to in my whole life, and I never want to hear it again.

That is quite possibly the weirdest post, story, I have read in a while on here. The “horses dancing” alone was very disturbing.
