Yup, she's actually increased with each project, at least on Billboard. DW missed out on the top spot by a bit, but it had a slightly higher opening than ME (with SPS, pure sales were lower).

Doesn't mean a ton, but Kacey Musgraves dethroned Ariana Grande on iTunes. Her song "Rainbow" is up to #5 as well, with Grammy-winning "Butterflies" at #26, album opener "Slow Burn" at #60, and the other Grammy-winning song "Space Cowboy" at #89.

On Apple Music, Golden Hour is up to #12 on the album chart, but that spike doesn't translate to success on the songs chart, where she still doesn't have a track in the top 200.

Well maybe maybe not

My point is in using the 100M number to compare to the Grammy's - the Super Bowl is not a music show

If people watch the halftime show are they-

-primarily tuning in for the music?
-watching only to pass the time until the second half starts?

Answer: probably a little of both

It is also possible some of those 100M switched channels for 30 minutes or got up from their TV and did something else.

My point is some number less than 100M watched the halftime show specifically to see Maroon 5 or more precisely because they wanted to see a 12 minute concert.

On the other hand, everyone watching the grammy's tuned in for the music.

Maroon 5 saw sales increases as well ("significant" depends on the definition)

^Regardless of audience the perceived quality of the performance itself has to be factored in. When Spongebob's Sweet Victory and Adam Levine ripping his shirt gets the attention rather the performance itself, the impact of the performance of the charts speaks for itself.

In terms of the Grammys' performances they were much better in my opinion and better perceived especially for those who weren't fans of those artists and the potential chart boosts reflect this.
