Things to watch this week:
Biggest drops from #1 for a song that debuted at #1: - Pillowtalk 1 ---> 7 (2016) - Hold It Against Me 1 ---> 6 (2011) - Not Afraid 1 ---> 6 (2010) - I Believe 1 ---> 6 (2004
Jonas Bothers' Sucker is expected to debut at #1 with one of the weakest points total for a top debut this decade (We R Who We R - 41k points in 2010) and is projected to fall more than 40% on Spotify, iTunes and YouTube this week.
- How hard is Please Me going to fall after the video release week? 10, 15, 20%?
- Shallow is the other song in the top 10 that is losing a lot of points... is it going to survive another week thanks to its radio ressurgence?
- Post Malone - the big winner this week? with three of the top six songs plummeting, Sunflower is probably returning to the top 3 (maybe even at #2) and Wow. is expected to reach a new peak (4-6).
- Ariana's 7 rings is the heavy favorite for #1, but it's so weak (less than 35k points) that even a Monday release by a huge artist could beat it.
- Juice WRLD album bomb? 22 songs in the top 100 on Spotify and 22 in the top 80 on Apple Music.
Exciting week.

I suppose weβll get a better snapshot once this calendar weekβs data comes in, but I donβt suppose thereβs a shot for Please Me to fall less than 7 Rings and take the crown in that manner? Iβm all here for the seventh new #1 of the chart year.

Iβm all here for the seventh new #1 of the chart year. Please Me's video debuted with more than 6M+ YouTube streams last Friday and now it's "only" at 2.1M. I think it will lose 10M+ streams on YT this week.

What are the future #1's (after the Shallow and Sucker bombs)? I mean, after 7R, I don't see any other Grande single of this album going nowhere near #1.

Honestly, I see Please Me getting #1 next with the weak songs at the top of the chart right now. Maybe Thotiana will sneak a week in eventually? I know that Taylor Swift is coming with her lead single really soon as well, so that will definitely debut at #1 with how weak the chart is right now.

What's considered a weak number one? Less than 40K points?

Bruno should upload a Lyric Video or vertical video or something - Wouldn't radio help stabilize Please Me?

Robbery is a top 10 lock. Not necessarily.. Its Spotify numbers are not exceptional and it's only the third most streamed song from the album on Apple Music. Top ten is possible but not on lock.

Considering everything at the top is dropping, I don't see "Sucker" falling too big.

What's considered a weak number one? Less than 40K points? I'd say less than 45k points. In 2017/18, we used to say less than 50k (In 2017, for 30+ consecutive weeks the #1 had more than 50k points).

How far will Pure Water climb? I'd assume around the high 30s but could it go any higher?

We could just label this the "Random Thoughts-Hot 100 edition' thread - or maybe we could just do that with the other one come to think of it 3/23 chart discussion may not be in abundance for a while

This thread is on time for the usual status quo of the past few years, late for when I've been opening them for talk of sales and stream debuts, the only thing is that there's considerably less to talk about now that's substantial:
-On the streaming/sales side, there's a couple of country singles and a potential album bomb courtesy of Juice WRLD, but ironically there's not much juicy to latch on to there except to keep track of whether Robbery is aiming for a top 10 climb.
-As for radio, the death of kworb's section means we're now considerably more in the dark on the metric than we've been for most of the decade. I have an AllAccess account now, and I still don't understand how to leverage it into useful multiformat analysis. Those daily summary posts were arguably the lifeblood that kept the thread on-topic.
I feel like maybe these threads should only be opened when the top 10 article is up unless there's an obvious notable debut at some point in the tracking period.

Otherwise with 10 days until the chart 'reveal' by the time there is actually something to talk about we are on page 12 after 10 pages of weekly rounds of signature songs, iconic artists, legendary artists, event singles or 'my song is better than your song'

The other thread needs to be locked. Hoping to see Sunflower move higher if possible.

What is/are the biggest song/s to peak at #2, #3, #4, and #5 of all time on the Hot 100?
I could be very wrong but...
#2: How Do I Live - Leann Rimes?
#3: Another Night - Real McCoy?
#4: ?
#5: Starships - Nicki Minaj?
