Good song that talks about hustle in life and world. I enjoy the warm steel guitar in this. It is a good closer from the best country album released on 4/20 last year. Not expecting this song to win a tie if there were a tie, but here we are.

Noooo not Courtney!!! You monsters! :'(
Such a great song, I wasn't hopeful for it to make the top 10 or anything but I was hoping for top half at least.
Yelawolf being out first is no shock at all, he's really talented and I appreciate what he brings but it's not for everybody or even always for me.
Trixie's song is good but I think it would've benefitted being shorter.
I'm a little shocked Jamie is out already, I thought I'd be on the lower end for her. Her album this song is taken from is really good though, and I like the other tracks more than this one so if anybody ranked her high I suggest giving it a listen!
Sarah's punk vibe is nice and unique, though not every song works great for me this is a middle one.
Colter's got so much talent in him and I love "Wild Dogs" creatively.
Alice was initially in my top 15 but something about it actually started getting tiresome about it, haven't quite figured out how I fully feel about it.
Yola is better than this ranking :(
OCMS are pretty consistent and I loved the production on this one.

I like western country and this is a good closer thar serves as liberation from her past relationship and life in general. However the mixing is quite muffled and I don't like how the trumpet sounds here much. Plus her vocal in this album is an acquired taste. It did not hurt too much for me to put this into the last place, but it should hurt singingrulebritannia and Kanenrá:ke .

Well, all things considered, I am doing pretty well! Old Crow Medicine Show are great, but I guess we all lose high ranking songs sometime or another. I think these reveals have kinda gotten rid of the not so good songs lol
edit - The graphics are beautiful ♥

I think most of us likely expected to see Yelawolf’s “Daylight” out first and when I saw it included knew that it would be polarizing. I probably haven’t listened to it since it was released a couple of years ago but remember enjoying it for what it is.
I really liked Colter Wall’s self-titled release and especially loved the Imaginary Appalachia EP, but I just couldn’t get into his Songs of the Plains album no matter how many times I put it on I just found I could never get in the right mood for it. “Wild Dogs” is one of the best tracks from the album, though, so I was happy to see a song of his included. I saw him open for Cody Jinks last summer and was blown away by his talent. “Sleeping on the Blacktop”, “Living on the Sand”, and “Nothin’” are still some of my go-to tracks from Colter.
Disappointed to see “Santa Ana Winds” be one of the bottom 5 songs and think it deserved much better. Alice has a great voice and with the violins both make this song quite haunting.
I’ve never been able to get into Sarah Shook’s voice and therefore “Lesson” went right down near the bottom for me. Wish I liked the group more but her voice is just a bit off-putting for my taste.
I initially had “Liberty” ranked much higher but after each subsequent listen I kept lowering it down when it finally landed in my bottom 5. For whatever reason I found the production and vocal arrangement to be a bit annoying after each listen.

Guess all the predictions about women doing better in this are proving wrong. What a shame. :'(
At least the two songs from this list that I flat-out hated are both gone early ("Daylight" and "Wild Dogs"). Everything else was at least tolerable. Disappointing to see so many females in the bottom 10 though.

#30 has the 2nd largest SD, and two people will lose a top 10! You can say the distribution fits the song title...

One of the more basic yet straight-to-the-point mainstream song in the rankdown, which is intentional to demonstrate different country music styles. And as you can see, the trajectory of this song during rankdown process is everywhere lol.

Solid country rock song with (sensibly) dark edge. Sad juxtaposition and sharp metaphors as in Honky-tonk goblins/barroom ghouls/neon vampires, but I find the vocal mix to be a bit awkward.

And another solid country rock song (more rock than Living By Moonlight) with dark edge. I like the little instrumental just before the end of the song. Lyrics could be sharper though.

I have to thank zack97 for introducing me this artist in his review. He is surely more desperate than Eric Church in this song. Quite a take on safety signals and gun violence in America. Love the guitar riffs here as well, though it may be far from country rock and lean to straight rock imo. Pleasantly surprised indulge ranked this in his top half when this song features some noisy riffs and somewhat strained rock vocals. This escaping bottom 10 is also surprising to me.

This has to be the boldest song that Dave Cobb has ever produced. Like the hazy guitar by Jason Isbell and atmosphere. Really has the wow factor to me.

I really was expecting “Everywhere” to be a top 15 contender so I’m surprised to see it just barely make it into the top 30. And how random for there to be such a gap in the rankings! I guess there’s very little middle ground for this one and you either like it or you don’t.
The song “Happy” is too far on the country rock spectrum for me and therefore fell to the bottom of my list. It ended up being one of my least favorite songs included.
On the other hand, Ryan Culwell's rocking tune "Can You Hear Me" works well for me as the production is a bit more subdued and definitely falls in line more with some of the Americana/Folk artists that I listen to today.
I absolutely adore the eerie production on “Parking Lot Pirouette” and I literally had this song on repeat last month. Knowing that Amanda Shires voice isn’t for everyone I figured that this would struggle to do much better than it did. I pretty much like anything and everything that Dave Cobb produces and this one is no different.

Disappointed but not surprised this would be my first top 5 loss. I really enjoy his guitar and the tension in this song. Maybe it would suit more in the album setting instead of rankdown mix.

Quite George except it is a murder ballad which doesn't sound like what George would do. Nice re-creation of traditional country sound with these piano touches.

The instrumental breakdown around 3:30 mark is musical heaven. Also their vocals compliment each other well (just as in real life). Volume 2 is rumored to be out next year. They released a live album called Watch This: Live From Dallas last Friday.

His vocal is dragging a lot in this album, not so much in this song though. Part of me wants him to have better vocals because for now he will only be an eye candy lol. His latest release is an EP called Hat Acts which was released on May 3rd.

The major highlight for me is the unusual fiddle section in the end. It should make some nuisance in the listening experience. His third album Country Squire will released on August 2nd.
