Sorry, but as .indulgecountry noted, "Homecoming queen" has been selling for a very long time and it's obviously having bad sales now. But I would also like to point out how Kelsea Ballerini's streaming numbers are actually more important than Aldean's numbers: "Homecoming Queen" music video has less than 10 Million views on youtube, while "We Back" has more than 15 Million. At first, one might think that Aldean's song has done better on streaming than Kelsea Ballerini's. But if you look deeper, you'll notice how interaction rate betrays Aldean's numbers: "Homecoming Queen" has 72k likes and almost 3k comments, "We Back" has less than 50k likes and less than 1k comments. This is the evidence of how people were way more interested in "Homecoming Queen". I would also like to point out that "Homecoming Queen" has more likes and comments than "Ridin Roads", "The Bones", "Heartache Medication" and "Kinfolks"... That being said I think it is absolute bananas to imply that "Homecoming Queen" has more interest and is more popular than "Ridin Roads", "Heartache Medication", and especially "Kinfolks" and "The Bones" based on YouTube Likes/Comments. I did not say this, and I did not want to imply this in any way. Sorry if I was not clear enough on this point. All I meant to say was that I believe these numbers prove how there was interest in "Homecoming Queen?", and I believe that radio failed to intercept that interest. I believe this song could have been a Top 5 hit and it would have deserved it. This is all I meant to say!

Did Black River drop promo for this song? "Homecoming Queen" lost 45 spins and 476k in audience which seems to indicate it may be done. Which I am kind of shocked if so since this song should be able to make the Top 15 on both charts this week if the song stays on the Billboard chart at least.

They announced the next single already, so more than likely this is over.

Thanks, I kind of figured that out when the new single was announced and especially with today's update, but thank you anyways.

Why do labels not pay attention to the charts? Do they just not care where it peaks if it's not #1/top 5/top 10/top 20? I feel like this happens frequently... You need to be hired as a universal chart consultant

You need to be hired as a universal chart consultant I don't really see a difference between a Top 15 song & a Top 20. It's a little different if this could reach Top 10. But I don't if it could have gotten there considering how long it's been stagnant on the charts.

There is not a huge difference, I just found it odd the week where there was a clear opening for a Top 15 peak the label decided not to. I also feel like Top 15 is a bit better publicity and hype than Top 20, not that it really matters given the sales and buzz around "The Other Girl" Also jab820 I would probably be as a chart consultant would just try and eliminate as many male songs as possible.

They probably already had things in motion in regards to when they were going to release the next single and the opportunity to hold off another week for a top 15 peak was likely not a deterrent to switch their plans up. At this point, it's time to just move on from this one and strike with something hot. Honestly, if this there wasn't a possibility for this to make it to the top 10 (which there clearly wasn't), then idc where it peaks in the top 20 personally.
