wheat's Anime Adventure! Part 1! (due: 1/31)

Back in 2019, I ATTEMPTED an anime rankdown, but with no rankdown experience under my belt and virtually no promotion, I just let the thing die, and it kinda sucked cause that was a rankdown I was actually really passionate about and wanted to make happen. And it's stayed on my mind for the last 4 years! I've really been wanting to bring this thing back.
Now that I've hosted a few retro rock rankdowns and maybe the stupidest rankdown in the history of Pulse, I feel like I am ready to try this again. And I'm gonna go BIG this time--this is gonna be a 3-parter. I have a list of 90 songs that I want to include here, and I will be splitting these up into three 30-song rankdowns.
A couple notes--I'm only including songs that have been in anime that I've seen from beginning to end. Yes, I am kinda missing out a lot of songs I love going this way, but I think it makes a bit more sense for me to have actually seen the media being referenced in a rankdown like this. Plus, I made a list of over 100 songs pretty easily even with this limiter, and I'm maybe even happier with this set of lists than I was with my first attempt.
Also, I'm trying to avoid songs that we have seen in other rankdowns! So...no Duvet, no Cruel Angel's Thesis, no Ride On Shooting Star. There will still be some big hitters here for sure, but trying to avoid ones that have been in rankdowns that I've participated in at least (including only 4 or 5 songs from my original 2019 rankdown cause I don't like double dipping, but I had some songs on there I really want to use again. I think only Gates sent for that list anyway lol).
Also, for the sake of simplicity and making this list, like easy to read and sort for myself, I'm going to stick to just romaji titles & artist names so I'm not looking at a lot of kanji I can't read.
And even if you're not into anime--consider sending anyway! I tried to select as broad a swath of genres and time periods as I could for this list, I love all these songs and I'm sure you'll find something to like too!
