Avril's impressions seem really low for a #1.

Wow. Only 8 between Avril and Maroon 5. She might get screwed over.
And look at Kelly Clarkson's bullet going up again. She's at +663

Stop your worrying. Avril WILL be #1, though not by as big a gap as I hoped. She wasn't #1 last week?

Again? didn't she have 3 #1's last album? I think what is being referred to is Don't Tell Me making the top 10 mid-week but falling back down by Sunday.

I hope Avril stays at #1 just because if not, then we'll still be reading about a year from now on the boards.

Maroon 5 are back at #1, beating Avril by 2 spins. Her loss has almost caught up with theirs too (130 vs. 133).

Holy (bleeping) (bleep)!
This is one of the biggest chart screwjobs thus far this year. My Happy Ending is a great song and while I'm no Avril fan, she really deserved this more than Maroon 5 for a third week. Granted, a #2 peak is nothing to sneeze at, but honestly!

She still has another week to get to #1. Ciara is 1100 spins behind and Kelly Clarkson is 1700 spins behind. My Happy Ending is a great song and while I'm no Avril fan, she really deserved this more than Maroon 5 for a third week. This would be Maroon 5's fourth week.

So, assuming Avril doesn't hit #1 this week, Avril hasn't hit #1 with "My Happy Ending?"
Thanks, Ben

DAMITTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHEN THE HELL HAS THIS HAPPENED BEFORE? SHE WAS SCREWED OVER BY 5 SPINS LAST WEEK, AND NOW SHE'S GOING TO BE SCREWED OVER BY A SMALLER AMOUNT. THIS IS BULLSHIT.
She was scrwed over with a top 10 for DTM too. . . geesh God must hate Avril.
Oh well, at least she was top 10 with DTM and #1 with MHE on billboard.
She MAY pull it off by the last update, because she does get more evening spins than Maroon 5, but it will be REALLY close.

I'd be surprised if it flip-flopped back by the final update. In fact, I was surprised the numbers changed from this morning.

Well in the grand scheme of things...MHE was still a huge, huge hit for her that helped sell the album and made it so her sophomore effort is not a flop. I still want her to hit #1 but I am pleased with the song effort anyways.

I don't understand why Franz Ferdinand and The Killers are on the pop charts (albeit struggling outside of the top 30) and Alter Bridge haven't gone for adds yet.
When will Open Your Eyes be given an adds date?

When will Open Your Eyes be given an adds date? One way to look at it is that Franz Ferdinand and The Killers had top 5 hits at Alternative with their songs. Alter Bridge, while going Top 10 at Active Rock, stopped in the 20s at Alternative, and CHR/Pop is more receptive to Alt than AR.

When will Open Your Eyes be given an adds date? Hopefully never. I'm sorry but they still sound JUST like Creed and I was already tired of them from first listen.

It's really perplexing to hear someone say that about a person who's been able to become rich and internationally famous. God must REALLY have it in for her!

WHEN THE HELL HAS THIS HAPPENED BEFORE? I think it happened with Ashanti's "Foolish". I know the closest this song came to, officially, topping the chart was when it was tied in spins with "A Thousand Miles". Vanessa won due to having the larger gain. I could have sworn "Foolish" logged a day or two on top midweek before surrendering #1 back to Vanessa. Am I mistaken?

Although I was glad that Vanessa Carlton's "A Thousand Miles" was the one to eventually reign at the top of the pop chart. I personally thought it was the better of the two songs. Ashanti made #1 with "Foolish" at the Urban and Rhythmic formats. That was enough to keep her busy. :)
