Yeah, All I Wanna Do is her breakout hit. But she honestly just has various singles that she's famous for. I did read in an interview that when she's older, she wants to be remembered for If It Makes You Happy. That's the song I most associate with her. It's her best single, by far. Agreed. I LOVE that song!

One of the Hot AC stations in Toronto has just added her version of the Rolling Stone's "Not Fade Away", and they're calling it her brand new single. It sounds really good.

That's also the song I associate her with but that's because it's the song that made me a fan - one of the first songs I loved. That "Not Fade Away" cover is only for the hair commercial, right? I've never even heard the full version.

Oh, I didn't know it was on a commercial. The radio station played the full version and called it her brand new single, but I don't know if it's official or not. Regardless, I really liked it. It's on the 'new music challenge' tonight, and last I heard it was winning by 82% of the votes.

Maybe on some soundtrack or for charity or something like that. It charted at #78 I believe on the Hot 100 (because of downloads).

When is the album due? I didn't realize it was that far along if 'Not Fade Away' were to be used as the first single. Would the album even make it in time for a fall '07 release?

Not Fade Away is a promo single, it might be on the new album but it's not the first single from it.

Sheryl Crow 'Rooting for' Elizabeth Edwards WEDNESDAY MARCH 28, 2007 02:30 PM EST
By Susan Mandel
Breast cancer survivor Sheryl Crow is rooting for Elizabeth Edwards, who recently revealed that her own cancer has returned, the singer tells PEOPLE.
The two women spoke on the phone Tuesday, according to Crow, who told Edwards: "We are rooting for her, we are praying for her, our love goes out to her and her family at this time."
Crow, who was in Washington, D.C., Wednesday to help promote legislation that would create a national strategy to research the links between the disease and the environment, tells PEOPLE that Edwards called her. "[She] said how much what we were doing here today meant to her," says Crow. "I feel like she's really brought it home for us."
On the subject of cancer, Crow, 45, who underwent a lumpectomy and six and a half weeks of radiation last year, says, "It's around us at all times. It's entering in our homes. It's in our families. And none of us go untouched by breast cancer. Having her support in this, I really feel makes it even more urgent."
The singer-songwriter's D.C. visit was to join Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada, who introduced a bill that "would help to identify the role of the environment in the development of breast cancer so we may learn more about this complex illness, including ways to prevent, treat and ultimately cure it," he said in a press statement.
"Sheryl Crow's personal story of breast cancer survival offers hope to women across the country and in Nevada, and now Congress has the opportunity to offer hope through this important legislation," Reid added.

With Sen. Hillary Clinton watching on, breast cancer survivor Sheryl Crow takes an important stand to promote the Breast Cancer and Environmental Research Act (which would create a national strategy to research the links between the disease and the environment) during a press conference on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday.

Apr 10, 12:31 PM EDT Sheryl Crow Goes Green for College Tour
NEW YORK (AP) -- Sheryl Crow, riding aboard a bus that uses biodiesel fuel, is on an 11-stop college tour to raise awareness about global warming.
Accompanying the Grammy-winning singer is Laurie David, who produced the film on climate change, "An Inconvenient Truth," which won the Oscar for best documentary earlier this year.
Each stop on the tour will include remarks by David, a short performance by Crow, clips from "An Inconvenient Truth" and a dialogue with students, according to Crow's Web site.
"The more I learn about global warming, the more I know that we all have to do something to be a part of the solution," Crow, 45, said in a statement. "I am thrilled Laurie and I have the opportunity to go on the road and combine our efforts to educate the next generation on how they can make a difference."
The "Stop Global Warming College Tour" opened Monday at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. It ends April 22, which is Earth Day, at George Washington University in Washington.
Other stops: Texas A&M in College Station; Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge; Loyola University in New Orleans; the University of Alabama at Birmingham; the University of Florida in Gainesville; Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro; Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.; the University of Virginia in Charlottesville; and the University of Maryland in College Park.

Inside Sheryl Crow's 'Stop Global Warming' Tour TUESDAY APRIL 10, 2007 05:40 PM EDT
By KC Baker
Life on the road with Sheryl Crow is easy - as long as you wear pajamas.
"There's no sleeping in the nude on the tour bus!" Crow, 45, joked to PEOPLE on the first day of her "Stop Global Warming College Tour," which kicked off Monday at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
Crow and An Inconvenient Truth producer Laurie David are touring 11 campuses to inform college students about the climate crisis and how they can help stop it. (They also have a documentary team with them filming the tour.)
"Laurie and I just met in November, and now we're sleeping together," Crow said with a laugh. "On a bus in separate bunks!"
On a more serious note, Crow told PEOPLE: "When I learned how serious global warming is, I wanted to do something to help. So when [Laurie] and I were talking about what we could do, well, my answer to everything is to get on the bus and take it to the people, in true troubadour fashion."
And what is Crow doing to be eco-friendly? "I try to wash my clothes in cold water as much as I can," she said. "I turn off lights in rooms that I'm not using. I drive a hybrid. I'm getting solar panels for my house." Joking with her guitarist, Tim Smith, she added, "To save water, I'm only going to shower once a week, like I did when I was a kid - on Saturdays."
Also, Crow's tour bus is running on eco-friendly biodiesel fuel. "We're in a bus powered by vegetable oil, so we're craving French fries the whole tour," she said.
She began the tour by rocking SMU's packed McFarlin Auditorium, where she also urged students to join the virtual march at Stopglobalwarming.org. "At the end of our journey, we hope to be taking a million marchers with us to Congress to let them know that we demand a change," she told audience members, who were each given an energy-efficient Philips compact fluorescent light bulb.
At a Q&A session after the concert, students asked what they could do to help. Among the tips from Crow and David: Reuse plastic bags, inflate your tires and don't idle your car.
But one hunky student had more pressing matters on his mind: "Are you going to be in Dallas long?" he asked. Laughing, Crow told her longtime guitarist, Tim Smith: "Can you get his number? I don't have any homework to do!"
As the bus pulled away from the SMU campus and headed to Texas A&M in College Station, the group sat around talking about the day's events and munching on Doritos and pizza. "You would think that being on tour with a rock star that there would be a lot of drinking," David said. "Instead there's a lot of eating."

Does anyone have the SS numbers for her albums? I'd love to have them too.. I'm pretty sure Wildflower had crossed 900k when it fell off the chart.

Some of them are undercertified too. C'mon, C'mon has scanned over 2 million apperantly and is still only certified platinum.
Anyway, a country album would be interesting imo from her. I love some of her less produced material such as Strong Enough and Redemption Day which have country vibes.

I HOPE it's less produced.. Wildflower sounded so glossy. It was a great album, but I still think it might have been slightly better if it felt more "raw", like The Globe Sessions. C'mon C'mon also sounded glossy but, in my opinion, it worked for those songs.
But if she's working with Tuesday Night people, I'm guessing it'll be a bit less produced.

I'm surprised 'Wildflower' even got Platinum but I guess that goes to show that Sheryl still has some selling power even if she doesn't get any significant hits from an album. Her sales have held up fairly well taking that into consideration... at least based on her certification status.

Yeah, the biggest hit on the album was the re-do of Always On Your Side, right?
I'm looking forward to hearing what she comes up with. I don't always like everything she does, but there's always at least one song on every album that I absolutely, unabashedly love.

I'm not sure. I played and liked that song more than 'Good Is Good', which I completely burnt out on fairly quickly but that was a Top 10 Hot AC hit whereas 'Always On Your Side' wasn't but, to me, it seemed to last longer. I can't really tell from a perspective outside of my own, lol. Always On Your Side was a bigger personal hit for me. ;)

"Good Is Good" was the bigger hit, went top 5 on Hot AC. "Always On Your Side" just missed the top 10. But it was #2 on the Canadian singles chart, so to you it could have been a bigger hit!

Naw, if it was singles sales, that means nothing in Canada. Although it did get a bit of radio airplay, I listened to it fairly often in my discman since it nearly made my personal top 10 as well.

Sheryl Crow displays a rosy attitude along with Sir Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation's Hot Pink Party. Crow, who performed 10 songs at the bash, proudly told the crowd of beating breast cancer, "Last Sunday was a year from my last radiation treatment - breasts intact!"

May 11, 9:41 PM EDT Crow Adopts Baby Boy, Names Him Wyatt
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Happy Mother's Day to Sheryl Crow - the singer-guitarist has adopted a baby boy. "I am so excited to share with you guys that I've adopted a little boy. He was born two weeks ago," Crow announced on her Web site Friday.
She told fans the boy's name "is Wyatt (after my dad) Steven (after my little brother and Scooter) and we are enjoying some very private family time."
Her publicist Dave Tomberlin wouldn't give further details.
This is the first child for Crow, 45, who underwent breast cancer surgery in February 2006.
That same month, she and cycling champion Lance Armstrong announced that they had broken up their engagement. It would have been her first marriage and the second for Armstrong. The pair met in October 2003 and began dating shortly after.
