She's alright. Nothing unique enough about her to make her important though. She doesn't have an individualized style that makes her stand out. Kinda blah

wonder if she will sing "all i want for christmas is you" the closer it gets to Christmas?! Can't wait to hear her sing Lady Marmalade...Just by coincidence I saw Christina in concert last night in Manchester and she performed it as part of her set...was very cool.

I Will Always Love You was on par with Whitney's version, I'm not even kidding. Absolutely flawless, plus all three judges gave her 100% feedback. She is safe tonight.

Also, I believe she finally unleashed her whistle register in Lady Marmalade, it was very impressive either way.

Her stuff is on Youtube. I think she is fabulous. But here is the interesting thing I noticed. In the last few weeks Simon Cowell has gone from wearing a black tshirt to a sportcoat and open shirt to a suit and tie. Bet you've never seen Simon in a tie! I think Simon is in love.

It sounds to me like this girl has already had a record contract. Does X Factor not have the same rule as Idol (no previous contracts)?
By the way, the existence of this thread for a reality show contestant means we could end up with 30 Idol contestant threads in this forum come January.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbuvLJnAysMHere's Leona's I Will Always Love You performance....better than I could have ever imagined her performing this song....when it kicks in for the final chorus....she was so on the money it's unreal...plus she had tonsilitis!!

www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPY_OKyG1_8And here's her performance of Lady Marmalade....not as good as IWALY but still great especially the high notes towards the middle...I think it's only a matter of time before she unleashes some Mariah high-notes!!! (Not that anyone could ever be as good as MC!!)

This girl is a star. She needs to find a little bit more originality but once she does she's going have a big carrer. Her " I Will Always Love You" is pretty much as good as Whitney's

Whitney sang this song better...................even when she was still on crack. Her voice was shaky for the first half, and the notes didn't come to her naturally in the second half. I mean, it was still good, but compared to Whitney.........................average at best.
"Lady Marmalade" was appalling!

This is like watching a star "being" born. I totally dig her Whitney cover. (the only other performer who I think did a comparable job was Charice... www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1hLURkIh7E)

I will Always Love You was great. She sounds like she could have been the actual singer of that song instead of just covering it for a show. Lady M was kind of bad to me. It just lacked the sass or power of the other versions to me.

This is just about what happened to Tamyra (AI1) and Chris (AI5), before they got smoked, when it looked as if they were going to breeze.

I think she has talent, but the natural tone of her voice is so bland. I only like her voice when she’s singing high notes and belted notes. And her stage presence could use some work.

And that's exactly why Simon told the viewers to not assume she's safe and to VOTE. He gets the voting numbers every week - he knows the public is not consistently putting her in the #1 spot, so we'll see... P.S. I still think this belongs in the Lounge since she's only a contestant at this point.

Leona's singing "Without You" on the live show on Saturday! There's one other song too, but not sure what that is yet (albeit it will be a Barry Manilow song because it's his themed night this week).

she's growing on me. seriously, her rendition of I Will Always Love You was more whitney-like than any Idol contestant i've ever heard. bravo. Lady Marmalade was bad. not good at all.
i wish her voice had more depth to it. a lot of her singing is falsetto, and it annoys me after awhile....

Now official....Leona is singing "Without You"...(I would've preferred Anytime You Need a Friend with a Gospel Choir personally...but hey!) and "Could It Be Magic"

her Without You was good. you can tell that this girl has been a fan of mariah carey and whitney houston. i think kelly clarksons version of Without You was a little better..... but leona still has it going on.
