Everywhere except @ 'CT40', due to their long-running practice of determining a song's inclusion on a year-end chart based on which year it had the greatest impact.
For that reason, 'Our Song' will be #1 for the year on Bob Kingsley's show, even though it may not make the year-end top ten at either Country Aircheck/Mediabase or Billboard.

Three weeks at #1 @ Country Aircheck/Mediabase; that's awesome.

I'm shocked by all the love for this song. I HIGHLY despise it. I think it's a terrible song. The sound of it is very generic and boring. And the lyrics just make me cringe. This is up there with "Me And My Gang", "Redneck Girl", and "Baby's Got Her Blue Jeans On" as one of the most unbearable songs of all time. I agree! Hate this song though since I don't listen to radio anymore I think I've heard it once or twice and that is enough.

3 days into the week and this is still #1 on Real Time Tracker. Couple that with the countdown double spins it should pick up this weekend, and I'd say that this has a decent chance for a 3rd week at #1 (4th at MB/CA). Ultimately I think it will be passed, but the opportunity is definitely there.

Ultimately I think it will be passed, but the opportunity is definitely there. Do me a favor, and tell me which countdowns give an extra spin, and what they base that on. If it's for the previous week's #1 song, it seems like that would be the following weekend -- but I haven't heard any countdowns in forever so I probably don't understand how this works now. Help, please. I agree, this song has a good shot at its 3rd week at #1. I guess Mont Gent is content to just wait for Zac to get tired of #1.

Lon Helton's show starts with the 'hottest song of the week' as determined by the PDs of the stations which carry 'CCUSA' (or possibly the MDs), but that doesn't necessarily mean the current #1 single.

Maybe I'm out of date because I haven't consistently listened to a countdown show since Bob Kingsley left ACC, but I'm pretty sure that ACC still starts the show with the previous weeks #1 song (which should be Zac this weekend). I think that Jeff Foxworthy's countdown starts the same way. Those are the only two countdowns that get aired around here, so I can't speak for other shows, but that's what I was basing it on.

Actually, ACC starts with a clip montage of last week's top five songs, so ACC doesn't count for an extra spin.

I think they only did the "replay of last week's #1" for the first 4 or 5 months.

I'm not sure about 'The Crook And Chase Countdown' either, but perhaps someone else might know.

This is very helpful to me. And if someone will just let me know what Bob Kingsley's CT40 show does, I'll have the full picture. Thanks to all.
And if I were making predictions, I'd go with Roll With Me for #1 next week. Now you have a good reason to go with Zac!

Bob opens his show with a recap of the top five songs from the previous show, with a thirty-second (or thereabouts) snippet of each song.

This is still #1 on the Real Time Tracker, so I'd give it about a 90% chance of keeping the top spot on Billboard next week.
There's a survey for their next single on Rate The Music. The two choices are "Toes" and "Whatever It Is."

^ I really hope it's Whatever It Is. That song is ridiculously catchy. I like Toes too, but I imagine that song would need a radio edit, and it would depend on how well the edit flowed. I hope they go with Whatever It Is next, and then Different Kind Of Fine as the 3rd single.

It's only been 5 minutes, haha, but MG are back at #1 on RTT.
I'm curious to see if the second single does anything, or if they pull a Heartland.

Congrats on a #1 hit! Well deserved, in my opinion. Started out as a sorta rinky-dink fun song, but it grew into a hit. Well done.

FYI, 'Here' by Rascal Flatts received the extra spin on 'CCUSA' this weekend, and they are also Lon's co-hosts this week.

FYI, 'Here' by Rascal Flatts received the extra spin on 'CCUSA' this weekend, and they are also Lon's co-hosts this week. Well, I've got two things to say here. 1. Good. Lon's flat voice and flat mannerisms (ever notice he ONLY ever says "up x" or "back x" to refer to how a song has moved?) are like painting grass and watching it dry as it grows. 2. NO! NO! NO! I DON'T want that bland piece of [bad word] to go #1!

To borrow the title of a much better tune from Mr. Paisley, 'ME NEITHER!'

I don't think there has been any official announcement about ZBB's 2nd single yet, but all signs are pointing to "Whatever It Takes". The song has really taken off on MB this week, and actually has a pretty good chance to chart next week. It's currently getting more airplay than the announced new singles from MG, Lady A, Sugarland, Carrie, and Keith Anderson. If that is the next single (I'd expect an announcement early next week), I'd say they picked the perfect follow up single. It's catchy, a decent lyric, and is a very good intro to the unique ZBB sound (you don't hear it that much on Chicken Fried, but it radiates throughout the rest of the album). I think it has a chance to do very well, possibly even another chart topper.

I'd be fine with "Whatever IT Is", "Toes", "Free", or "Highway 20 Ride". I love their album.

"Whatever It Is" is a great choice for winter/spring with the summer/fall song being "Toes." and "Highway 20 Ride" finishing out the album.
