The song is wrote by Jessica Simpson and Rachel Proctor.
Out to radio now. Goes for adds immediately.

Can't wait to hear it since Rachel co-wrote it.

I'll reserve judgment until I actually hear it, but this has the potential to be a big disaster.

Phwew. I thought this was a Shania cover.
I'm actually excited to hear this.

The production will make or break this song. If she wrote the song with Rachel Proctor, then I expect it to at least be halfway decent lyrically, and she has shown a nice voice in the past, so that only leaves the production. If it's over the top "I'm really a country girl, yee haw", then it will be a disaster. If it's nothing more than her pop music with a few guitars thrown in for good measure, then it will be a disaster. But if they can find a somewhat natural country sound for her, then it might actually be pretty good.

Sadly the song is pretty great. I am just going to have such a hard time supporting her. I think she switched into this genre because she was failing at another and seen an "easy" route to take, not because she truly has unprofound love for Country music.

I think she switched into this genre because she was failing at another and seen an "easy" route to take, not because she truly has unprofound love for Country music. That might be true on the surface, but no country label would have even come within a mile of her if she didn't have at least some talent (after all, this isn't pop music or anything ;)) ). After listening to this, it's by no means a disaster. I really like the sound of the song, and her voice is semi-natural on it. She oversings the chorus, which is annoying, but that's not uncommon for females these days. I don't love it, but it might grow on me. Now what I would really like to hear, is Rachel Proctor singing this song, that would be a great song.

Wow. This actually ain't bad. But I agree with kw9461, I'd like to hear Rachel sing this. Probably would sound better.

I like it too and didn't really expect to like Jessica. I am glad Rachel is at least writing for other people but I'd like to hear her sing this too. It totally sounds like a Rachel song.

It reminds me of a Hope Partlow song so much. Which is good. I like it!

After the first listen I've got to say I like it and her voice sounds much better than many young ladies who get massive airplay read Taylor Swift .

I wouldn't be surprised if Country doesn't play Jessica regardless of what she releases. It just seems like she's taking advantage more than other acts who "go country," and I don't know how radio is going to feel about that.

and I don't know how radio is going to feel about that. I think they'll see $'s, massive promotion, and a person everyone is familiar with (in one way or another). Mostly promotion... after all, who cares about the song? I like the song, personally. I think it has a bit of a Jessica Andrews feel to it.. or something from around the '00s. She does sound natural. We'll see if she really does get promotion a hit.

This actually isn't bad. I'm glad that she doesn't shriek like she had a tendency to do on some of her pop songs.
I agree with the sentiment that Jessica's transition to country seems rather insincere. Country always seemed like a natural progression for Jewel, but in Jessica's case, there's the sense that her last pop album bombed, so why not just go country? They'll play anyone.
The song itself is decent. I agree that it sounds like something Jessica Andrews or Lila McCann would've sang. Maybe even a Faith Hill album cut.

She has to be one of the most gorgeous women I've ever seen.
I can't wait to hear this on radio. I've always loved her as a pop artist and think she has a pretty voice.

I can see why people would see her transition to country as insincere but I think that she genuinely does want to make country music now. She's always said she never wanted to be a pop artist originally and in videos from where she was really young she always sang country songs.

Great song. I've been a fan of Jessica - not so much of her music... but this is a huge upgrade from any of her pop stuff. I'm really liking the song, what took her so long to crossover? She should've done this a while ago! Very good stuff.

Lyrics:
Leave your dishes in the sink Leave the ice cubes in your drink Just come on over Leave your coat behind the door Leave your laundry on the floor Just come on over
I need you know I need you bad I need you baby looking just like that
Don't pack your bag Don't make me wait I wanna kiss that smile that's on your face I need you wrapped up in these arms I want you just the way you are Come on over
Baseball cap and torn-up jeans A pair of flip-flops on your feet Just come on over Don't slow down, don't stop for gas Keep those four wheels spinning fast Just come on over
I need you know I need you bad I need you baby looking just like that Don't pack your bag Don't make me wait I need to kiss that smile that's on your face
I need you wrapped up in these arms I want you just the way you are Come on over
I need you know I need you bad I need you baby looking just like that Don't pack your bag Don't make me wait I want to kiss that smile that's on your face
Oh, all I need is all your love Baby I can't get enough I need you wrapped up in these arms I want you just the way you are So come on over
So come on over

OMG! I love this! The song compliments her voice very nicely. I'm glad she isn't trying too hard to sound twangy. Jessica has always been fond of country music, she has always said she is a big fan of Dolly Parton so I think its a natural progression for her to move to country music. I can't wait for the album!
