Here is my evaluation of the current Top 40. Since "With You" by Chris Brown will be a certain recurrent, I left it out and moved each of the rest of the songs up a notch. Enjoy!
#1 BLEEDING LOVE - Leona Lewis - (Grade: B-) I never thought this was more than average. I am shocked by its success. Payola anyone???
#2 SEXY CAN I - Ray J/Yung Berg (Grade: A- ) A good song. Retro lyrically in the fact that the word "sexy" is passe.
#3 LOVE IN THIS CLUB - Usher (Grade: B+) One of those songs that gets really stuck in your head that you want to here again and again despite the fact that is a throwaway song that will be forgotten in a year. Disposable but good.
#4 NO AIR - Jordin Sparks with Chris Brown (Grade: A-) Nice duet. Decent song, but not a classic.
#5 TAKE A BOW - Rihanna (Grade: A) Rihanna is on a roll. Don't Stop the Music was amazing and this is almost as good.
#6 4 MINUTES - Madonna (Grade B+) Thanks to Timbaland and Justin, this is a relevant song and a hit. Good but not great.
#7 LOLLIPOP - Lil Wayne (Grade A) Very sexually suggestive, I love the radio edit with the eliminated words. One of the better songs on the chart!
#8 DAMAGED - Danity Kane (Grade A) Catchy and good. A deserving top 10 hit.
#9 LEAVIN' - Jesse McCartney (Grade A-) McCartney has had some solid hits and this is no exception. He has an almost urban sound.
#10 POCKETFUL OF SUNSHINE - Natasha Bedingfield (Grade C+) This song has grown very tiresome for some reason. It has a sophisticated sound and good production, but it doesn't really work for me
#11 REALIZE - Colbie Caillat (Grade A) An even better song than Bubbly! Smooth mellow folk pop. Well done
#12 LOVE SONG - Sara Bareilles (Grade A) Solid song for sure!
#13 SEE YOU AGAIN - Miley Cyrus (Grade A-) Why didn't Best of Both Worlds chart? That is an amazing track. This one is simply very good.
#14 STOP AND STARE - OneRepublic (Grade B+) Inspired by the Coldplay/Radiohead sound. Very solid, but it growing tiresome - espscially the vocals.
#15 SHAKE IT - Metro Station (Grade A-) A nice retro hit with an 80's synth line. It also has a Franz Ferdinand vibe too.
#16 ALL AROUNG ME - Flyleaf (Grade B+) The Top 40 needs more hard rock like this.
#17 WHAT YOU GOT - Colby O'Donis f/Akon (Grade B+) A good Akon styled song. Will be forgotten in 6 months. Good disposable music.
#18 LOW - Flo Rida (Grade A-) A solid hit with staying power. The oldest song on the countdown. Great lyrics.
#19 BYE BYE - Mariah Carey (Grade B) Good song but slight. Sounds like an older Mariah track.
#20 FOREVER - Chris Brown (Grade B) This song has an odd form. The verses are not uniform. It took a while to absorb this song. But now I like it.
#21 IT'S NOT MY TIME - 3 Doors Down (Grade B+) This song oozes southern rock. Good vocals, much better than Nickelback.
#22 I KISSED A GIRL - Katy Perry (Grade B) This topic has been done before. Good but not great. Actually kind of mediocre once you get past the novelty of the lyrics. Good rock production.
#23 IN LOVE WITH A GIRL - Gavin DeGraw (Grade B+) Gavin is back with another solid although formulaic hit
#24 TOUCH MY BODY - Mariah Carey (Grade A) I liked this better than We Belong Together. I was expecting this to go to #1.
#25 BREAK THE ICE - Britney Spears (Grade B+) How was Britney able to record such a decent song with all of her recent troubles. Where did she find the time?
#26 SUMMERTIME - New Kids on the Block (Grade B) They sound current and the vocals are better than I remember from old New Kids. They obviously want a summertime smash like Dj Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince's Summertime namesake, but this is not nearly as good or memorable.
#27 FEELS LIKE TONIGHT - Daughtry (Grade B-) Average song, I'm a bit sick of it though. Daughtry can sing however and very well!
#28 WHATEVER IT TAKES - Lifehouse (Grade C+) Mediocre song, I am sick of this too. They are not the most creative band in the world.
#29 THERE'S NOTHIN - Sean Kingston (Grade A-) Great! Kingston is on a roll.
#30 SAY - John Mayer (Grade B+) Mayer is becoming a regular on the Top 40. Solid craftmanship. Why hasn't Jack Johnson crossed over as well?
#31 OUR SONG - Taylor Swift (Grade A) I do not like the pop remixes of these country songs. The country version is a great tune with awesome lyrics, though a little bit corny!
#32 MERCY - Duffy (Grade B) Obviously similar to Amy Winehouse. Not as soulful and dark, but smoother. I never fully loved Rehab. Was I missing something?
#33 YOUR LOVE IS A LIE - Simple Plan (Grade B+) Emo ear candy. Will be forgotten in 6 months.
#34 SHE GOT IT - 2 Pistols f/ T-Pain (Grade B-) Pedestrian hip-hop track.
#35 ALL SUMMER LONG - Kid Rock (Grade A+) It samples proven hits, and is not creative per se, but this should be the summer hit of 2008! Will it catch on with the kids who know nothing of Werewolves of London?
#36 IF I NEVER SEE YOUR FACE AGAIN - Maroon 5 with Rihanna (Grade B+) Well produced song. An interesting blend of vocalists. The jury is still out on this one
#37 7 THINGS - Miley Cyrus (Grade A) This song takes her into new territory. Not an appropriate song for a preschool listener. But it rocks in the chorus like a great Avril Lavigne track would. This will be a big summer hit!
#38 BUST IT BABY (Part 2) - Plies (Grade A-) I love the use of Janet Jackson's Come Back to Me. It is a nice song.
#39 BUZZIN - Shwayze (Grade A-) This is what Jack Johnson needs to hit with the teens. A little hip hop. A good summer hit.
#40 ALL OVER YOU - The Spill Canvas (Grade A-) Shouldn't this song be subtitled Love Me Back. This is a good emo rock track. Much more durable than the typical Simple Plan fare.

Honestly, I give every song a big fat F...I'm tired of them all.

I'll play quickly too! #1 BLEEDING LOVE - Leona Lewis - I never thought of this song as anything special but I would still say that it fits in at #1. I think a #4 peak would also be appropriate. (Grade B-) #2 SEXY CAN I - Ray J/Yung Berg - I don't know this song. (Grade n/a ) #3 LOVE IN THIS CLUB - Usher - This is okay. It's no 'Yeah' but it's better than anything that came after it. (Grade C+) #4 NO AIR - Jordin Sparks with Chris Brown - WHY all the screaming at the end? It's terrible! The song itself isn't that good either. 'Tattoo' should have been the big hit for Jordin. (Grade D) #5 TAKE A BOW - Rihanna - This song has grown on me a bit. Not as much as 'Umbrella' obviously but I actually don't mind it. (Grade C+) #6 4 MINUTES - Madonna - I quite like this one! 3 weeks at #1 on my personal chart last month. (Grade A) #7 LOLLIPOP - Lil Wayne - I heard it once or twice but don't remember how it goes. Forgettable? (Grade n/a) #8 DAMAGED - Danity Kane - Only heard it once but I remember thinking it sounded ridiculous...! (Grade n/a) #9 LEAVIN' - Jesse McCartney - Whenever this came on my iPod, I always thought it was the new Chris Brown song (until I eventually learned how that song went as I listened to it more). But I don't remember it now. It sounded okay but no grade yet. (Grade n/a) #10 POCKETFUL OF SUNSHINE - Natasha Bedingfield - This song is insanely catchy but there's too much chorus so after a few days/weeks of hearing it, it DOES get tiresome. (Grade B-) #11 REALIZE - Colbie Caillat - This song is okay. I like the mellowness of it. (Grade B-) #12 LOVE SONG - Sara Bareilles - I've been borderline sick of this for MONTHS but I've never actually crossed that line yet. I can still listen and enjoy this song! (Grade A) #13 SEE YOU AGAIN - Miley Cyrus - A dumb song but still stupidly catchy! (Grade C+) #14 STOP AND STARE - OneRepublic - I got burnt out on this one pretty quickly. (Grade C+) #15 SHAKE IT - Metro Station - Forget how this one goes. (Grade n/a) #16 ALL AROUNG ME - Flyleaf - Also forget how this one goes and I've heard it at least a half dozen times now. (Grade n/a) #17 WHAT YOU GOT - Colby O'Donis f/Akon - Heard it once and Akon definitely ruins it. But forget how it goes other than the "Konvict" and other Akon spews. (Grade n/a) #18 LOW - Flo Rida - It took me a bit but I warmed up to this song. It's fun! (Grade A-) #19 BYE BYE - Mariah Carey - Almost terrible. Very typical Mariah layout where she screams during the last chorus which is supposed to be intense. It's worked before but that doesn't mean she needs to do it on every ballad she does. The intro is also embarrassingly lame. (Grade D-) #20 FOREVER - Chris Brown - I started listening to this song around the same time as the new Ne-Yo song and I wonder Why isn't Ne-Yo getting a hit out of his? 'Closer' is awesome! This is okay too. Still not too familiar with it tho. (Grade n/a) #21 IT'S NOT MY TIME - 3 Doors Down - The best 3 Doors Down has had in a while but I didn't care for most of the stuff they've had since the first album. I also heard 'Train' and realized that I like that one better than this one. (Grade B-) #22 I KISSED A GIRL - Katy Perry - When was this topic done before? I only heard it once. It sounded catchy but I don't remember. (Grade n/a) #23 IN LOVE WITH A GIRL - Gavin DeGraw - The guitars in this sound fake and synthesized. It's an okay song tho but not as good as anything from his first album. (Grade B) #24 TOUCH MY BODY - Mariah Carey - This was nice and fluffy at first but after hearing it a lot and hearing that really stupid intro "oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah...", I realized that this song is also embarrassing. Better than Bye Bye tho. (Grade C-) #25 BREAK THE ICE - Britney Spears - I don't like this one as much as the first two singles but it's okay. (Grade C+) #26 SUMMERTIME - New Kids on the Block - don't know this one. (Grade B) #27 FEELS LIKE TONIGHT - Daughtry - One of the better Daughtry singles but still very generic. (Grade C) #28 WHATEVER IT TAKES - Lifehouse - Speaking of generic, THIS song is the definition of it. (Grade D+) #29 THERE'S NOTHIN - Sean Kingston - Don't know it. (Grade n/a) #30 SAY - John Mayer - Pretty good. I'm surprised this is a hit. Doesn't quite match up to most of the singles from Continuum but I'm glad it's doing good. (Grade C+) #31 OUR SONG - Taylor Swift - This is okay. Not as good as Teardrops but not unlistenable. (Grade C) #32 MERCY - Duffy - I think this song could eventually grow on me more than it has. (Grade B-) #33 YOUR LOVE IS A LIE - Simple Plan - A silly song that unofficially borrows from Green Day. (Grade C+) #34 SHE GOT IT - 2 Pistols f/ T-Pain - don't know it. (Grade n/a) #35 ALL SUMMER LONG - Kid Rock - don't know it (Grade A+) #36 IF I NEVER SEE YOUR FACE AGAIN - Maroon 5 with Rihanna - Rihanna actually does work well on this song. She fits in. It's a good mix. (Grade B+) #37 7 THINGS - Miley Cyrus - don't know it. (Grade n/a) #38 BUST IT BABY (Part 2) - Plies - no idea (Grade n/a) #39 BUZZIN - Shwayze - I think I have this hear somewhere? (Grade n/a) #40 ALL OVER YOU - The Spill Canvas - Don't think I know this(Grade n/a)

this is pointless as people are grading based on artist they like an don't like.... ^^^^You don't know a song so you give it A+????????

#1 Bleeding Love - A - Think it's a perfectly crafted pop song with great production/vocals
#2 Sexy Can I - (N/A) - Can't believe neither CHR in my market is playin this at all - don't know it
#3 Love In This Club - C+ - Sounds much more formulamatic to me than Usher's previous stuff...seems like they came up with the title before they wrote the song
#4 No Air - B+ - Great vocals/production, but seems like the concept has been done a lot before (not bein able to breathe when ur lover isn't around)
#5 Take A Bow - A - Really well done IMO
#6 4 Minutes - B+ - Ridiculously fantastic production, but IMO production overshadows a song which is kinda mediocre, and doesn't have much meaning to it
#7 Lollipop - (N/A) - only heard it once, and don't remember it that well
#8 Damaged - (N/A) - haven't heard this one either
#9 Leavin' - D - think the hook is a complete rip-off of Leavin' On A Jet Plane...not much creativiy to this one IMO
#10 Pocketful Of Sunshine - C - IMO has a really annoying hook to it that gets on my nerves
#11 Realize - A+ - perfectly crafted song...wish the teen-oriented stations would pick up on it
#12 Love Song - B - talented artist, great production, and novel sound...but still can't figure out the meaning of the song
#13 See You Again - D - still not gettin why this was so popular, except for the Hannah Montana thing
#14 Stop And Stare - C+ - alright song, just seems kinda boring to me
#15 Shake It - B - novel sound we haven't heard in a while...production better than actual song though IMO
#16 All Around Me - B+ - good song, also a sound we haven't heard in a while on CHR...bridge seems a little "off" to me
#17 What You Got (N/A) - haven't heard this one yet
#18 Low - B+ - not a big fan, but they managed to create one of the catchiest rap hits of all time I think...Flo Rida's style of rapping is a little annoyin IMO, but T-Pain makes up for it
#19 Bye Bye - B- Mariah sings it well, but sounds more like the way a little kid would say "bye bye" to his mom than a way you would deal with someone's death IMO
#20 Forever - B - likin the fact that CB is tryin something different...production/vocals better than actual song though IMO
#21 It's Not My Time - B+ - solid rock song, but not the huge CHR/HAC hit that 3DD needed to kick off a new CD IMO (although the CD is #1 right now)
#22 I Kissed A Girl - (N/A) - haven't heard this one yet
#23 In Love WIth A Girl - C - great production, but sounds just like I Don't Want To Be with heavier guitars IMO...can't imagine this becomin a recurrent hit for him
#24 Touch My Body - C+ - well produced, but seems like the concept has been done a million times
#25 Break The Ice - C+ - an alright song, but somethin about it just doesn't "fit together" for me...Britney does a good job with it though
#26 Summertime - C+ - sounds good initially, but think it's gonna wear off really soon...plus the concept has been done before
#27 Feels Like Tonight - B+ - the song is alright, but Chris Daughtry's vocals make it a classic that IMO's gonna be around for a long time - really well produced
#28 Whatever It Takes - B - Lifehouse has had much catchier songs, but this one is really strong lyrically, which is why IMO it's gettin such longevity
#29 There's Nothin - (N/A) - haven't heard this one yet
#30 Say - A - think this is one of JM's best songs in a long time...captures a completely unique concept - chorus is repetitive, but the message is important
#31 Our Song - C+ - not sure this would've done anything on CHR if it hadn't been a follow-up to Teardrops On My Guitar...just sounds like a million other country songs to me
#32 Mercy - B+ - really well-produced and catchy song, that captures a sound that not many have been able to recapture (except Amy Winehouse)...burns really quickly though
#33 Your Love Is A Lie - B - pretty solid rock ballad...some parts of the chorus sound a little awkward though...and there's a line that's almost copied from You Oughta Know by Alanis
#34 She Got It - (N/A) - haven't heard this one yet
#35 All Summer Long - (N/A) - haven't heard this one yet
#36 If I Never See Your Face Again - C+ - fantastic production and vocals...creative blend of Adam and Rihanna, but just sounds like an exciting intro song to a CD, w/o much substance to it
#37 7 Things - (N/A) - haven't heard it yet
#38 Bust It Baby, Pt. 2 - B+ - really glad there's a rap hit right now with some substance to it, and background music which is more than just beats in the background (even if it is sampled from Janet Jackson)
#39 Buzzin - (N/A) - haven't heard this one yet
#40 All Over You - C+ - interesting song, but seems kinda "all over the place", esp. with its lyrics

I don't really hate anything, but that Miley Cyrus is quite possibly the worst song on the chart at the moment.

I'd like to think that my list is completely objective. 1. Bleeding Love: The minute I heard this, I knew it would be gigantic. It's going to be a classic. (A+) 2. Sexy Can I: It's not the deepest song ever made, but it sure is a feel-good track. (A-) 3. Love In This Club: I hated this song at first, but it's really grown on me. Part 2 makes it a million times better. (A) 4. No Air: Gorgeous duet. It's made Jordin a household name.(A-) 5. Take A Bow: Rihanna is one of my favorite artists, but this is horrendous. I can admit to it getting stuck in my head two or three times, but that's because my station plays it 384 times in one hour. (C-) 6. 4 Minutes: Ew. I see no appeal in this. I actually wouldn't mind it as much if the instrumental wasn't so irritating. (D) 7. Lollipop: SHAWTY WANNA THUGGG. BOTTLES IN DA CLUBBBB. <3 (A) 8. Damaged: The minute I heard this, I knew it'd be the song to bring DK back to pop. It's addictive. (A+) 9. Leavin': This is actually a very well-crafted pop song. I never thought I would be a JMac fan again, but he proved me wrong. He sounds great, and it's really catchy and light. (A+) 10. Pocketful Of Sunshine: I actually like this song quite a bit, it's very catchy, I just feel the song is extremely repetative at times. Half the times this comes on the radio, I switch stations. (B) 11. Realize: A really adorable pop song. Well written and constructed, and her voice sounds sweet. (A-) 12. Love Song: The first time I heard this, I ran to the store and bought her CD. I knew she'd be big. I still love it. (A+) 13. See You Again: I hate Miley Cyrus, but this song is a great, catchy pop song. (A) 14. Stop and Stare: I like this song a lot, but I don't even think I've downloaded it yet. A step in the wrong direction from Apologize. (B+) 15. Shake It: When I heard this on my pop station, I flipped out, but I got over it, because they deserve the success. (A-) 16. All Around Me: Ew. (F) 17. What You Got: It's okay. Nothing great. I don't see the big deal. (C) 18. Low: I first listened to this knowing I would hate it, and I was wrong. It's actually one of my favorite songs this decade. (A+) 19. Bye Bye: I think this song is beautiful. I don't see the hate for it, or why it isn't more successful, but it doesn't matter, it's still one of my favorite songs this year has produced. (A+) 20. Forever: I mean, it's okay. It's disappointing for a rerelease lead single. (C-) 21. It's Not My Time: Huge disappointment for me. It's no 'Let Me Go'. (D) 22. I Kissed A Girl: Insanely catchy and fun. I can see why this is becoming so huge. It's really not the greatest song ever, but it's a campy, novely song. I don't think it was supposed to be anything more than that, so it's done what it was made to do, get Katy Perry out there. (A) 23. In Love With A Girl: I love Gavin DeGraw, but this was a HUGE disappointment for me. The verses are okay, but the chorus is just so lousy and half-assed. (C-) 24. Touch My Body: I never thought in a million years I would respect this song as much as I do now. This song is one of the campiest, lightest, bounciest, fun pop songs I have ever heard. In time, I truly believe this will be one of Mariah's most memorable songs. Respect. (A+) 25. Break The Ice: No need for words. No need for words. :) (A+) 26. Summertime: Eh. I'm not really feeling it, but I think it could grow on me. (C) 27. Feels Like Tonight: One of my favorite Daughtry releases besides 'It's Not Over'. I hated 'Home and 'Over You'. (B+) 28. Whatever It Takes: Huge disappointment. (C-) 29. There's Nothin': Really great summer song, I just hate that girl he sings with. (B) 30. Say: I don't understand how this is Top 30, because this is a really weak single, but it's a nice, easy listen. (C+) 31. Our Song: Nowhere near Teardrops, but it's still a good song. She's got talent. (B) 32. Mercy: I hate her voice, and I think this is kind of annoying, but I think this has the potential to grow on me. (C) 33. Your Love Is A Lie: For their standards, weak, but it's still not half bad. (C+) 34. She Got It: YES! I just got into this song, so I don't love it yet, but I do like it a lot. (B+) 35. All Summer Long: I like the old school, southern rock throwback it has, but I think it's kind of gimmicky. (B-) 36. If I Never See Your Face Again: This version is okay, but I like the original. (C+ this version; B- original version) 37. 7 Things: I don't know why she followed SYA up with THIS. (D) 38. Bust It Baby: Good song. (B+) 39. Buzzin': I just heard this yesterday. It's okay. It could grow. (C) 40. All Over You: I'm surprised this is Top 40, but I like it quite a bit! Good band. (B)

I am going to incorporate my personal opinion and then an opinion from a critic's point of view. It will blend into one flipping grade!! Ha! Ha! Ha! IC = incomplete/never heard
1. Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love (A+) - She sings this songs as if she's victim of love that is bleeding so painful. And I feel your pain, sister. You sang this from your heart with such a powerful voice that US was blessed to hear. Thank you for sharing your gift! BTW payola it may not! 2. Ray J - Sexy Can I (D) - The boy is still lacking talent and that rap does no assistance. The beat is on track and it's a club banger. 3. Usher - Love In This Club (D+) - If it wasn't for his talented vocals I'd lean towards an F. This crunk mess has got to cease! 4. Jordin Sparks - No Air (B) - This is the only time Casey kasem may say Chris Brown's name because this also crossed over to the Hot AC market. Both of these cats can blow! 5.Rhianna - Take A Bow (C) - Nothing special 6. Madonna - 4 minutes (C-) - Timbaland knows just what to do. This unusual pop selection created some club and radio buzz as well. 7. Lil Wayne - Lollipop (B) - I personally like this record because it's a club banger. The lyrics are explicit but the hook is what is making the record. That talk box electronic sound is tight as well! 8. Danty Kane (IC) 9. Jesse McCartney - Leavin (F) - Who the heck is this man trying to fool? I tried to get into this but it's a complete failure as far as I am concerned. The lyrics are probably what a six year could write IMO. It sounds almost like any other urban song. Next! 10. Natasha Bedingfield -(IC) 11. Colbie Cailaitt(sp) - Realise - (IC) 12. Sara Bareilles - Love Song (A+) - This woman can compose and sing a song that ain't a love song, but a song about love! You feel me? 13. Miley Cyrus (IC) 14. OneRepublic - Stop And Stare (A-) - The band sounds like a talented and creative band and why the devil did they need Timbaland to break 'em? The lyrics are on point and so is their sound. 15. Metro Station (IC) 16. Flyleaf (IC) 17. Colby O'Donis - (D) Sounds like everything else. Absolutely no originality, heck you might as well have given this record to Akon completely! 18. Flo Rida - Low (D) Repetitive and talentless. I hear nothing but production instead of the actual rap lyrics. Keep this mess in the clubs, man. Flo Rida's career is finished! 19. Mariah Carey - Bye Bye (C-) - I would have preferred a nice smoove ballad instead of this one and then adding Jay Z to the remix. But then again it's about rejoice, right. That's why I only gave her a C- instead of a D. 20. Chris Brown - Forever (C) - Great club trance record. I guess radio needed a dance track with some actual talented vocalists like Chris Brown. 21. 3 Doors Down - Not My Time (F) - Very disappointing. 22. I Kissed A Girl (IC)- but the original gets a D, I hope this one is much better. 23. Gavin Degraw (IC) 24. Mariah Carey - Touch My Body (C) - Great production there and the excitement of this track lasted as well as it did. 25. Britney Spears - Break The Ice (B) - If she could perform in the studio well, why in heavens name can she do the same in real world and on stage? Besides I "left Britney alone" a long time ago after her true colours started coming through. 26. NKTOB - Summertime (D) This is disappointing but catchy. I guess that's what you have to do to be up to par with today's music. 27. Daughtry - Feels Like Tonight (IC) 28. Lifehouse - Whatever It Takes - (D) - Boring pop song. It has no instrumental flavour that memorable for the ear. 29. Sean Kingston - There's Nothin (F) I Can't stand the guy! 30. John Mayer - Say (IC) 31. Taylor Swift - Our Song (B-) The vocals sound great and I prefer the pop mix personally. Altogether this record earns her a household name. 32. Duffy - Mercy (A)- British non-black women know how to throw down! The song deserves a Grammy nomination! 33.Simple Plan - Your Love Is A Lie (C) - I love this song to death! The whole production is off of the chain and the lyrics are definitely on point. Most can relate to this song! 34. 2 Pistols - She Got It (D) - I love this also to death, especially the remix with Cuto. But they aren't talking about anything, really. C'mon. If I hear T-Pain one more time.... 35. Kid Rock- (IC) 36. Maroon 5 - If I Never See Your face Again (B-) I definitely like this mix better. This sounds like early 80s Urban, I like it! 37. Miley Cyrus (IC) 38. Plies - Bust It Baby (C-) Too repetitive. I like the sample and Plies gets right to the point. He is real and that's why I listen to most of his records. 39. Buzzin (IC) 40. All Over You (IC)

#1 BLEEDING LOVE - Leona Lewis: A+ (No, it's not payola, it's an American Idol bump. At least, I assume she appeared on that show, what with winning the British counterpart and being friends with Simon Cowell.)
#2 SEXY CAN I - Ray J/Yung Berg: F
#3 LOVE IN THIS CLUB - Usher: B+
#4 NO AIR - Jordin Sparks with Chris Brown: C

#8 DAMAGED - Danity Kane: C-
#9 LEAVIN' - Jesse McCartney: n/a

#12 Love Song - B - talented artist, great production, and novel sound...but still can't figure out the meaning of the song Well, it's not a "love song" my friend. It's about her record label. www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=9855

Okay, so I only love four, and those are "See You Again" (insanely infectious, nearing perfection as far as pop/dance go): A- "Touch My Body" (extremely underrated IMO, it has nice melody, fun and cute lyrics, delicious production) B+ "Mercy" (so different and refreshing) B+ "Say" (simple and repetitive but somehow very nice to listen to): B+ I like six more: "Bleeding Love", "Love Song", "4 Minutes": B "No Air", "Break The Ice", "Forever": B- The rests of the chart either I don't care for, I haven't heard of, or I simply hate. Pretty dreadful chart, IMO.

I haven't heard a lot of these... sampled a few on Youtube. Did Top 20 and the rest that I've heard.
#1 BLEEDING LOVE - Leona Lewis - (Grade: C) A bit dull... it's getting slightly better than at the beginning
#2 SEXY CAN I - Ray J/Yung Berg (Grade: B) Catchy.
#3 LOVE IN THIS CLUB - Usher (Grade: C+) Alright. Disappointing for a lead single from Usher.
#4 NO AIR - Jordin Sparks with Chris Brown (Grade: A-) Nice ballad. I'm getting a little tired of it now.
#5 TAKE A BOW - Rihanna (Grade: A) Good tune, humorous lyrics. Though pretty similar in concept to Madonna's old song.
#6 4 MINUTES - Madonna (Grade C+) Disappointing song from Madonna. Alright, but not very catchy.
#7 LOLLIPOP - Lil Wayne (Grade C) Haven't heard it too many times. Didn't pay much attention to what he was saying.
#8 DAMAGED - Danity Kane (Grade D) Annoying.
#9 LEAVIN' - Jesse McCartney (Grade C-) I've only heard it once or twice but not great.
#10 POCKETFUL OF SUNSHINE - Natasha Bedingfield (Grade B) Liked it a lot when it was first released.
#11 REALIZE - Colbie Caillat (Grade B+) Good song. Could grow on me.
#12 LOVE SONG - Sara Bareilles (Grade A-) Still like it after hearing it a lot.
#13 SEE YOU AGAIN - Miley Cyrus (Grade A-) Guilty pleasure.
#14 STOP AND STARE - OneRepublic (Grade A) One of my favourite songs right now.

A grading isn't necessary but for the past few years pop radio has slowly been improving and looks to close out nicely. I'm all for eclectism and CHR currently relects that in what pop music should sound like in 2008.

#1 BLEEDING LOVE - Leona Lewis - (Grade: B-) I never thought this was more than average. I am shocked by its success. Payola anyone??? Payola?? Everyone I know loves (or did before the overplay) this song.
