This one is still climbing up very, very slowly. I hope it eventually goes atleast Top 20. There seem to be a lot of songs in that range of that chart that are currently like that (moving slowly). With so many in the same boat like that, you have to figure at least a few of them will pick up and go top 20. Hopefully Lady A is one of them that will get the call.

I wasn't able to write them down but I think they sung everything from the CD plus a Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers, and AC/DC covers.
Was a great show and great to get a chance to say hello to them again.

^Yeah, they sing their entire album (plus the fan club bonus track). Did they also sing Black Crowes at the end after Love Don't Live Here Anymore? Also James Taylor, too. Those were the four covers they sang when I saw them last month. (Five if you count the AC/DC snippet, too).

No they didnt....they did AC/DC at the end of LDLHA and then went back into LDLHA to finish it off.
I forgot, the other one they did was A Woman Scorned.

I listened to their album and it's fantastic! One of the best debut albums I've heard for a LONG time. These guys (and girl) are so talented! My brother went to see them open for Montgomery Gentry and he said they were better than Eddie and Troy live! I wish them a TON of success for the future. :)

Thanks for the link, kevin59! I like that Lady A went for a different treatment with this one. My first thought was of Outkast's "Hey Ya!" video. Charles Kelley really plays his part as the leering, kind of sleazy, kind of charming game show host to the hilt. I like the sly reference to scandalous shenanigans on these games shows, too. I think Hillary Scott kind of overplays her part as the floozy hostess, but it's not that big a deal and she is particularly funny when she parts the couple to plop down on the sofa between them. Dave Hayward doesn't have a ton to do but he totally had me thinking moptop Beatle. The set is very well-executed. I don't totally get how the actual game show content (seems like it's a married/steady couple getting their love life spiced up?) matches the lyrics. Wouldn't it have made more sense for it to be a dating game type show for singles? Still, the concept of using that kind of game show as the backdrop for the song is clever and I'm glad they went for this. They really do seem like a very likable group. ETA: Oh, and the lyric change seems especially dopey in the video. Wish they could have avoided that one.

I just can't get enough of this song! Those guys voices sound so nice together. I hope they do more songs with him and her both singing together. In my opinion this deserves to be a #1. There's not much better stuff on the radio right now, IMO.

Since a higher-than-usual five songs fell out of the top twenty and off the charts completely by going recurrent this past weekend at Mediabase/Country Aircheck (Sugarland/Miranda Lambert/Brooks & Dunn/Gary Allan/Jessica Simpson), that should prove quite beneficial to this very deserving tune (and a handful of others) as they march up the charts.
The top of the charts are pretty soft right now; the fact that Keith Urban has reached #1 with SPSPW (Spins Per Station Per Week) numbers more in line with a number one single from 2001 are pretty amazing, to put it mildly.

I saw & met Lady Antebellum on Monday -- that set was probably my favorite show of theirs to date. They keep getting better (as an emerging artist should).
Charles did mention that LFAGT is their new single / 2nd single. I find it funny how anything outside the top 20 is considered "new," but he does have a point. All the local stations around here haven't started playing it yet. (Some are just starting to burn Love Don't Live Here Anymore into heavy rotation). It takes awhile for new songs to get around to smaller stations.
One thing new from the last time I saw them (last month) was that they dropped the cover of James Taylor and added a cover of U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For." I think that's a wise choice. They're a young band (all in their 20s). They should be singing '80s & '90s (they close the show with Black Crowes' "Hard To Handle") instead of '70s.

Smaller stations usually wait for the song to go Top 40 before they will begin to play it, that's what my local station told me anyways. That makes no sense to me, but it's what some of them do.

My local stations won't play most songs til they reach the top 20/25. I have one local station that plays just about anything that's about #40 or higher (but plays insanely long ad blocks and does a remote broadcast from some restaurant/store nearly EVERY FREAKING DAY), and another that plays almost anything that's even released, short ad breaks, and at least one terse DJ. Guess which one I listen to.

Cute song, finally convinced me to buy the album after hedging for a couple of weeks. There's something crisp and fresh about their sound.

i wonder if this will get pulled this week? it is down in AIs and Spins enough for it to be pulled. but it will re-gain its peak at #11. i really wanted this to go top 10. but i am beyond ready for a new single. "All We'd Ever Need", here we come!
