^Yeah I just knew that tour would propell her up the charts and gain fans but you know what, I just don't think people care anything about her anymore. When I saw them in Nashville, people were talking to one another, walking around, anything but listen to her sing. I went to get something to drink and I heard several people say she put them to sleep...don't see how, but still.

I really wish she would create some great country singles for her next album, though NBTD was quite good. I think she is really into the idea of writing all her own stuff now which is good artistically, but as Zach mentioned people don't really care.

To be completely honest, I've lost my care and concern for LeAnn and her music. She's a great artist and has one of the best voices I've ever heard, but I just am gettin' to the point where I'm not really a fan anymore. With the exception of "I Wish I Was Wrong" (and only b/c it's had personal implications lately), I do not even listen to her music anymore. Hopefully the next album will get me pumped but until then...whatever. I'm not gonna run to her defense on everything anymore. There are other artists out there that I'm a lot more interested in right now.

Well you'd have a broke label cause that's the only time I've said it. Sure I've said I was not happy with career choices before, but this is beyond that. I see it like this, if she don't care about it, why should anybody else? The fact is she has lost (and is losing) a great deal of her fans. I am one of them.

LeAnn Rimes Gets Vocal For Reba McEntire
By Kay West
LeAnn Rimes paid tribute to Reba McEntire at Monday's 2008 ASCAP Country Music Awards in Nashville, belting out one of McEntire's signature songs, "I'm A Survivor."
Kelly Clarkson and Brooks & Dunn also joined in, with Clarkson – who was rewarded with a standing ovation – singing "Why Haven't I Heard From You" and Kix and Ronnie performing an emotional rendition of "For My Broken Heart," another McEntire standard.
McEntire, who received the Golden Note Award, also surprised the audience with one of her earliest hits, "(You Lift Me) Up To Heaven."
Rimes, who overcame vocal problems that caused her to cancel (and reschedule) two shows last week, told PEOPLE that severe autumn allergies are the source of her congestion and irritated throat.
A doctor prescribed rest, which she and her husband Dean Sheremet are looking forward to now that they are finally in their new home, which took three years to build.
Rimes's New Home "We have been moved in for five weeks, but have only actually been there two," Rimes told PEOPLE prior to the show. Sheremet added: "We are out of the boxes stage and into the 'Where is everything?' stage."
The couple will continue to settle in before heading to Calgary in mid-November to begin work on the film version of Nora Roberts's romantic suspense novel, Northern Lights.
Rimes will play Meg Galloway, a feisty bush pilot who knows how to handle a gun, living in tiny Lunacy, Alaska – though comparisons to Sarah Palin should not be drawn.
"Funny timing, I know," Rimes said with a smile. "But the similarities end there. Meg Galloway is a very young and single woman."
Says Sheremet: "She's definitely not a hockey mom."

I actually love What I cannot Change. Leanne's voice sounds wonderful in this song.

To be fair about it, Curb DID promote this song. Actually, for about two weeks there was an ad for this song in the CountryAircheck almost nightly. Believe me, I believe they'd like the recognition of the song just like anybody else. I've moved beyond defending an artist by bashing their label. They may not have always promoted her like they should, but I know for a fact they did this time.

I wouldn't necessarily call that "promotion." Did they push the song at radio? I do know that the song has gotten more press than any LeAnn track in years. Maybe radio just is over her and I have no idea why.

Maybe radio just is over her and I have no idea why. Because she's a female artist not named Carrie or Taylor. </sarcasm>

I was listening to some 90's country station on my iPhone the other day, and it played so many female songs that I used to love and I miss that terribly. It was so refreshing to hear Pam Tillis singing "I Said A Prayer."

You've got to be kidding me with the dance mix. Really??
Meanwhile, LeAnn is hitting it hard with the duets lately:
Marc Broussard & LeAnn Rimes "When It's Good" Keep Coming Back Elvis Presley & LeAnn Rimes "Here Comes Santa Claus" Elvis Presley Christmas Duets LeAnn Rimes & Delta Goodrum "For Good" Wicked 5th Anniversary Edition Soundtrack
LeAnn + Wicked = my two favorite things in the world combined!

Yeah, I don't really understand the dance mix either, but I think the move to AC is a good one. That's probably the format where this song had the best shot anyway, and it shows that the label is still committed to making the song a hit in some form.

The mixes to this song are GREAT! Really adds a new twist to the track. I am very glad that Curb is sending this to AC. I never thought it would do well on Country as it is, quite frankly, a pop track.
Hopefully they decided to send this to CHR/pop too. I still think that LeAnn has a better shot at pop success than Country. Face it, they ain't playin' her music so she should really get the right A&R people together and officially "de-genre" herself.
(I know, there are going to be those "she should stick to country" coments, but at this point what does she have to lose?)

The Kaskade Mix has been added to XM BPM -- biggest US dance station and 3rd most listened to station on XM.

Wow, I just heard them and WOW. And those are not good wows. Some songs should just be left as the masterpieces they are.
Excited about the AC release though.

I expect that not too many "country" fans who don't appreciate remixes to not like them, but for those that are pop/dance fans, they are very solid mixes. These should do well on the club/dance charts

^I'm not sure it's quite done at country... but also not too confident in it charting.
Quick Cut data says this has 18 spins at RHY and 16 at AC. Kind of surprising it's already getting more on RHY right out of the box.. but I guess I haven't heard the mixes.
How many non-country mixes are there, anyways? Is there anywhere to listen to them?
