Considering that they're once again working with a very tight schedule, with Carrie just squeezing the shoot in between consecutive concert dates, I have no doubt that Roman is at the helm... again. I would love to be wrong.

I know a lot of Carrie fans, and non-Carrie fans love this song; but, this is one that I have not been able to get on board for.
I don't know what it is, but something about this song makes me not like it at all, really. :( But, I didn't like AAG either, and that did quite well. *fingers crossed for Flat On The Floor for 5th*

I still have not seen or read an "official" announcement that this is indeed the next single, nor have I seen an add date. I'd love it if someone could enlighten me. Thank you.

Why don't people like Roman White??? I think he's really good...He has not disapointed yet...But I guess a new director wouldn't hurt...I just hope Carrie has a part other than narating the video....I can't wait for this!!! I have a feeling this will be bigger than any song of hers before. The emotion and powerful amazing (not over-sung) voice of hers couldn't do the song any better!!! I can't wait for people to start hearing this song, they will be amazed!!

I think this could be Carnival Ride's "Jesus Take the Wheel". I could see it being a HUGE country hit...and do quite well on AC!

Wow she is popping out these singles fast. I'm starting to wonder if they will do 6 singles.

Ugh, I drafted this long post and lost it! Let me try this again...
I'm actually glad there isn't an adds date yet. Adds dates seem like a mere formality with Carrie singles (and those of other core artists). Once the label announces the next single and sends it out, radio jumps on it immediately regardless of when it's supposed to go for adds. That's a good thing in the sense that such indicates star power, but the label/team must also know, as I'm sure they do, how to work with that premise. LN still has 5 weeks to go on BB (excluding this week's chart) before going recurrent. IMO, let it fall off first. As I've said before, its more of a summer single than JAD anyway. There's no need to hurry. After all, it doesn't look like they're going after the June 30 CMA Awards eligibility deadline. That being said, I suspect that they intend to make a splash with the JAD announcement by simultaneously releasing the single and video. Why else would they rush the video shoot (i.e. casting call on short notice, literally squeezing in the shoot in Carrie's tight concert sked)? Unless they just want to get it done before Carrie goes on vacation. If it's not the latter, I expect the release to be around July 14 if they follow the one-month-after-the-shoot-before-the-video-is-ready schedule.

If this truly is the next single, why have I not heard it on Sirius yet. They ALWAYS have the jump on any new singles;! sometimes playing them several weeks before they're officially released. At the very least, I should have heard this song on the Sat. nite "Beyond the Buzz" program, but instead they are playing "Flat on the FLoor" and "Crazy Dreams" on that program.
I have had Sirius for over two years now and they have played the new songs well before radio 99 times out of 100. I wonder if it's possible the label asked them to lay off "Just a Dream" for some reason. Anyway I'll believe it when I hear it on my local station. Have a nice night!

^well since you think that SIRIUS tells in advance what everyones next singles are by playing them on Beyond The Buzz, and you mentioned that FOTF and CD are the 2 songs they play, you basically told us what you thought her next single will be. if you believe in SIRIUS telling the future with singles, you thought it would be FOTF or CD and since you said we would be pleasantly surprised then it would have had to be FOTF. no one mentioned like or dislike towards CD.
tell me if i am wrong, i am just trying to figure out what you thought her next single was going to be ;)
and i think the label asking radio to lay off JAD could be right. it hasnt gotten many spins on Mediabase either. you would think that radio would be playing this at least a little bit. but has a label ever done something like that? why would they do something like that? could they do that? i have wondered that before because i would think at least someone would play it somewhere, since it is such a great song!

I would have been OK with any song as the next single, but think this song is a great choice. Looking foward to hearing it on the radio.

Yeah, labels sometimes ask radio stations to lay off playing a new single until the label is ready for the promotional push. I know this happened when Lyric Street shipped out SHeDAISY's "In Terms Of Love". Though, after asking stations to hold off on playing it until the add date, those same stations never really got into playing it much anyway. ???

Maybe they are trying to figure out how to get this song to debut at #1 so she is the first female to pull it off.

IF I Posted something twice, it's because I'm using my PDA and sometimes I'm not sure if it was posted. That's all. Or I do it accidentally. Sorry for the inconvenience.
