I always forget how much I love Martina McBride. I saw her walking down a sidewalk in Nashville once and she was just so sweet. Can't say I care for this song though. She looks hot though. What's with the black leather tonight?

Dear Rodney,
Lonestar called from 2003. They want their song back.
Thank you.

Performance: Ride by Martina McBride This song does sound better live in HD. Martina sings it flawless and shows that belters should also be able to handle the lower register well. A pretty good performance though I wish her vocals were turned up just a hair (or the band turned down).
Brad Paisley is just not nearly as smooth with delivery as I thought he would be. Sorely disappointed.
Performance: It’s America by Rodney Atkins Ouch. He sounded off for most of the song. I’m a big fan but this performance, not so much. The song itself is okay though.
Award: Group Of The Year - Rascal Flatts

Rascal Flatts is in the midst of a Brooks & Dunn-esque dominant run when it comes to the Vocal Group award.

I'm only relying on your play-by-play so thanks so much, guys!
No Bruce Springsteen with Rodney, huh? False rumor!

They didn't announce Reba in the opening so they may be considering her a special guest on B&D's song, which would be lame.

Performance: Love Story by Taylor Swift Girl can’t sing live. I’m just gonna say that. But she does give great performances. She looked very elegant and the dancers were a nice touch (as they were appropriate to the song unlike an earlier performance). And the dress change was nice. It was a classic Reba-esque performance (vocals aside).

I thought that was that one Jonas Brother there at the end of Taylor's performance.
Guess I was wrong.
Kid Rock is here to crap all over what has been an otherwise decent night.
Is there a White Trash anthem of the year award or something?

The only one who did well was Miranda and that's because there was really no background noise.

Oooh man I was really anticipating Taylor Swift's performance because I love that song. But instead of performing she was grand marshal of the Disney World parade? That was so awful. Thank God there was at least a hot guy at the end.
Oh no not this Kid Rock song againnnnn......

With that type of song there isn't much you can do.

Way to make a statement that you're not country, Kid Rock. But other than that, it's a good performance.
I had to laugh at his guitarist "Joe the Strummer" though, haha.

Performance: All Summer Long by Kid Rock Surprised he even still has a voice. Loved the chick drummer and the “Joe The Strummer” t-shirt.
And they just announced B&D with a special guest. Even as a Reba fan, it's lame. She performed just last year. A CMA award for Reba would be a special event but not a performance.

Just gettin' home but I did catch Taylor's performance and thought it was GREAT! The instruments seem to be much louder than her though. Now Kid Rock, there's a performance I could have done without but at least he was sportin' a TN Titans jersey.

Wow Taylor's back up singer's mic was almost as loud as hers. Was that the video guy (Miley's boyfriend) at the end?
