Shouldn't this album be out already? We haven't had a new Rihanna album in FOREVER. Are you serious? Most artists wait at least two years between albums. GGGB has only been out for a year and a half and has been rereleased! 7 singles!!!! Ri-Ri is over-saturated as it is. If anything, she should wait until the end of the year for her follow up.

I really wish this was slated for November. That'll give the public a lengthy break and then she can rock the holiday season next year.

dayam, this ho released 3 albums in 3 years. Now, for the 4th, she decided to milk an album and wait 3 years for the next.
I don't understand this mess. She hasn't even sold 2 million yet

Ri-Ri is over-saturated as it is. If anything, she should wait until the end of the year for her follow up. People have been saying that for a long time now. If Rihanna was being oversaturated, she would be flopping by now. Obviously "Rehab" isn't smashing, but it's still doing well. The fourth album needs to come out sooner than later because alotof people are tired of the GGGB era. Not that many artists drag out an album for 18 months with 7/8 (if you count IINSYFA) including a re-release.

I agree not that many artists drag an album out for 18 months.
That's why the girl should take a break before releasing her next album.
This will be her fourth album in as many years. Crazy!

The fact Rihanna's been going strong for 3 years now with no break is shocking to alot of people, but when she has hit after hit, why stop now? The least she could do is release another single or two and let them linger while she "breaks/works on new album".

GGGB in the US: after shipping another 59k this week, GGGB is up to 2,233,400 copies. And she officially doubles the success of A Girl Like Me, which sold 1.1 million during it's stay on the Billboard 200. GGGB Worldwide: 2007: 3,218,000 (#11 for the year) 2008: 3,700,000 (#7 for the year) 2009: 140,000 (1 week) total: 7,098,000

Well technically, if she churns it out before August it will have been in less than five years.

I like most the demos, but nothing has struck me as "wow" yet, like most the tracks of GGGB. I think this next album will do fine commercially, but will be a big step down in quality.

She'll need to take a break if she wants to get to the next level. She did well with this last album, but there won't be any anticipation whatsoever with the next one if it's released too soon.
Also, she needs to start looking into how she can start getting critical acclaim via getting some Grammy's, AMAs, etc.
