How is Russian Roulette doing outside US? I think it was top 5 on the World's chart. RR performed well everywhere outside the US. Yeah it reached #1 in the European Digital Sales chart.

The Hard video... I don't know whether to be relieved that she quit trying to pretend she could dance, or dissapointed that she seems to have given up. The video was really missing something- I think it needed some light choreo. I mean- she does not have the grace that is required for dancing.... but if Gaga can convincingly do choreography, and Justin can fool people into thinking he's a decent dancer, then Riri could still try. I mean... take some lessons, woman!
As for singles... my favorite songs are not singles material, so I can't be objective about it. She released RR and I loved that- but it underperformed, so she should just stick to the uptempo numbers- Rude Boy, Rockstar, and... are there any other uptempos?

I agree (except with the Justin bit he's a very talented dancer!). I just feel like she think's she's one of those girls that are too hot to dance.

The video could have used a little dance break but the video was still HOT, imo. Just visually amazing.

Rihanna is still hanging in there with solid sales. Not falling off the charts and almost gold so I don't think this era can be called a flop. Plus, she can still rebound if one of her singles really catches on. She probably won't sell as well as GGGB but I don't think anyone expected that once RR was said and done. This album has worked its way into my Top 10 of 2009. Wasn't expecting that. I even tolerate Te Amo and Photographs now. As for the Hard video, I love it.

Love the Hard video, reminds me of Work and Diva, Love the fashion and the pink truck and the mickey hat :) And her album is great, it will sell consistently maybe it'll get a platinum certification.

Fire Bomb is sooo overrated. I like it, but man. it isn't. its just the best song in the album and the smartest single choice. we're just rooting for that. p.s. hate the white clothing in the hard video. reminds me of satan... i mean.... GaGa

I think this will sell similarly to Pink's "Funhouse", slow first week but consistency in the long run.

Rated R is doing well. Comparisons and expectations will continue to taint it's success until she has another universal smash after "Hard".
GGGB had a huge lead single, hit follow ups, and a great re-release. Rated R had a semi-hit lead single and the followup is still growing. It's pointless to compare the two albums sales.
What's done in one period of time can't be duplicated. :)

the album is great but i still cant believe she or the label screw her comeback by sending russian roulette as the comeback single..even though hard can manage to build back the momentum but russian roulette really dissapointed a lot of her fans and supporters.

I know. But I guess they really wanted to build attention for the album without considering if it was single material or not.

Whoever wrote the lyrics to "Stupid in Love"....should never do that ever again. Horrible.
I know this album is growing on a lot of people, but I still say it's her worst by far. Fire Bomb is awesome though, but it's the single exception. Well, maybe that and Hard.
