Nope, not that song. While you're pondering over that, let's get the actual countdown started: 100) This artist had about five songs on the chart at the same time. This was the last of those to leave the chart. 99) When I first heard this song, I considered it the "Lean Back" of 2005. But it's actually a pretty catchy song. I wonder if it'll further candy sales? 98) A holdover from 2004, this is what happens to you when you run a ten-mile race. 97) This is one of two hits that this rapper had on the chart in 2005. This song did not have the annoying tongue click noises that the first one had. 96) A gunman might say this to you as he's trying to make his escape. GOOD LUCK!! (and don't forget; #101 has yet to be answered)

Get Right was #100 on R&R???!!!!!! Yeah, I'm rather surprised, considering how it just seems to have come and gone really fast. It must have gotten just enough airplay.

Songs 99, 98, and 97 are correct. For songs 101 and 100, the right artists were guessed, but the wrong songs. Song 96 was a holdover from 2004.

Very good!
An extra clue for song #96: The group who sang it had a minor hit on 20: The Countdown Magazine this past spring.

How does On The Way Down (or even True) sound "a lot" like This I Promise You? Come on now... ;)

First of all, "Dare You To Move" is correct for song #96.
And I guess "True" doesn't sound "a lot" like "This I Promise You". Someone mentioned around the time the song was scaling the charts in December, 2004, that it sounded sort of like it and, if you really listen to it, it kind of does.
That said, here's the next set of clues:
95) I gave this song "the special treatment", since it was one of my favorite songs of 2005. While the song didn't quite penetrate the Top 30, it hit #20 on my version of the charts. It's a very inspirational song.
94) This band was on the AC charts with one song or other for about five solid years. They made a comeback this past year and this was their second hit.
93) This song is about ready to debut on the Triple A charts. ;)
92) "I don't wanna die! I don't wanna die!"
91) This song actually charted in two different versions this year, the other debuting as the original was about ready to fall off the chart. Since the new version spent but a few weeks on the chart, I combined the chart runs of the two.
GOOD LUCK!!

Right!
I was just thinking of the irony of the Good Charlotte song, how they say a synonym of the quote from the movie that has the same name as the band (well, sort of).

You were correct on song #95 (I was going to put that it was an inspirational song about living life to its fullest, but I was afraid that might make it too obvious.
As for song #93 - way off! I don't think I'm giving any secrets away by saying that "Photograph" will be in the upper half of the chart.
I will tell you right now that #93 has several things in common with #95 (and note the winkyface in the first clue)

Very good! Since the song has hit about five or six different charts, I figured that Triple A would be next. Moreover, this song charted higher on my chart than on R&R due to something similar to "vacuum effect". Since there were a lot of songs in late 2003 that I either didn't like or would be gaining too many points, among other things, that ranked lower on my weekly charts than on R&R's. That means there were several songs that charted lower on R&R that peaked higher on mine. "You'll Think Of Me" was one of these songs and it gained enough points to make it onto the Top 100.
90) This song is another holdover from 2004 that still had enough juice in it to register on my Top 100. The song has the same title as a song from late 1996 and the title was mentioned in the chorus of a number one song in the late summer of 2002.
89) A rapper uses the title of the #1 song of 2003.
88) The title of this song is an occupation that covers a lot of ground. He must be making millions!
87) Close, but no cigar.
86) The artist of this song made an amazing comeback this past year, albeit no thanks to this song.
GOOD LUCK!!

Those are all correct!
Now, all we need is #87. Meanwhile, I'm gonna head to the lanes and then get some lunch.

Uh, that was actually a clue.
Here's the next batch of songs:
85) The name of this song - it recently happened to my dishwasher door.
84) I did this when I got a nuisance call.
83) A jet goes faster than this
82) No riding the fences here!
81) This song made a pretty good-sized move to #20 without a bullet, due to vacuum effect.
GOOD LUCK!!

Well, you got all those right except for song #85 (it was actually the second word in the title that happened to the door, but you were on the right track).

Very good!
80) This was a holdover from 2004 that clearly made its biggest impact that year (it hit #1), but still had enough momentum left to place fairly high on the 2005 chart (in fact, I believe it may have even registered in the Top 40 on the R&R year-end chart)
79) I go to church and then listen to the VH-1 Weekly Rewind
78) The phone just rings on and on and on and on and on....
77) This song looks like it's currently on its way to #1 on the R&R chart.
76) This new artist, who only goes by her first name, had two hits on the chart in 2005. This one, currently on the climb, is IMO her better song.
GOOD LUCK!!
