Yeah, this really makes so much more sense. The singles should always have been:
1. WIGU 2. IHTP 3. Bottle Pop 4. Elevator 5. WYTAT
WYTAT, compared to other songs on the alubm, is not 2nd single material.

Whatcha Think About That shouldn't be a single at all...
This is a much better choice... I also think "Elevator" would be a great choice, and heaven forbid if Interscope is stupid enough to release "Take All Over the World," unless they're trying to destroy PCD's career... Kind of funny, but my all time favorite is "Who's Gonna Love You." If they release "Bottle Pop" then they should not release "Out of This Club" and vice versa... I also kind of like "Magic." I think it's the closest we have to "Buttons."

BTW, just to break it down for everyone:
NICOLE: We're driving slow through the snow on 5th Avenue And right now radio's all that we can hear Now we ain't talk since we left, it's so over due It's cold outside but between us its worse in here
NICOLE: The world slows down But my heart beats fast right now I know this is the part Where the end starts
NICOLE & NICOLE: I can't take it any longer Thought that we were stronger All we do is linger Slipping through our fingers I don't wanna try now All that's left is good-bye To find a way that I can tell you I hate this part right here I hate this part right here I just can't take your tears I hate this part right here
NICOLE: Everyday, 7 takes of the same old scene Seems we're bound by the loss of the same routine Gotta talk to you now before we go to sleep But will you sleep once I tell you with hurting me
STILL NICOLE: The world slows down But my heart beats fast right now I know this is the part Where the end starts
NICOLE HARMONIZING WITH HERSELF: I can't take it any longer Thought that we were stronger All we do is linger Slipping through our fingers I don't wanna try now All that's left is good-bye To find a way that I can tell you I hate this part right here I hate this part right here I just can't take your tears I hate this part right here
NICOLE, NICOLE & NICOLE: I know you'll ask me to hold on And carry on like nothing's wrong But there is no more time for lies 'Cause I see sunset in your eyes
NICOLE & RANDOM SESSION SINGER: I can't take it any longer Thought that we were stronger All we do is linger Slipping through our fingers I don't wanna try now All that's left is good-bye To find a way that I can tell you
NICOLE: That I gotta do it, I gotta do it, I gotta do it I hate this part I gotta do it, I gotta do it, I gotta do it
NICOLE: I hate this part right here And I just can't take these tears I hate this part right here
Just so we all know who sings on what part ;)

I hate that the girls don't have their own parts, but this song IS good.

"Elevator" please. I like this song though. Ditto. As far as ballads go, I think Hush Hush would have been a stronger choice. I have played snippets of the album to my friends and siblings and Hush Hush seems to be one they are responding strongly to.

I wish they would let WTAT play it's course before releasing this...:X
It just seems like their label is rushing through everything this era. D:

YES PCD! I am so glad they are moving on from WTAT. I did like the song, although it wouldn't of made it Top 30. I Hate this Part is way better and should perform better than Stick Wit U as well. Their label knows what they're doing now.

I think Hush Hush would make a great 5th (or I guess 6th now) single, after this, Elevator, and Bottle Pop. It's a strong ballad, but not strong enough to be released this early, imo. It seems like a perfect closing single. The more I listen to the album, the more I think Elevator is actually the biggest hit on there, followed closely by this one.

I've never really payed much attention to "Elevator" but I think this song will be the biggest hit on this album. Either this, or Bottle Pop.

The label isn't really rushing through this CD. WIGU did not do well in callout past its time as a current and really dropped off quickly after it peaked. WYTAT was getting lukewarm - at best - reception from programmers. This record will do well, but I'm not sure that it will be a strong recurrent in the future.

If they do fully commit to releasing this song they'd BETTER re-release WTAT.

If they do fully commit to releasing this song they'd BETTER re-release WTAT. Why? There are much better songs on the album than that song? It bombed for a reason... We want "Elevator" and "Bottle Pop" before we start getting filler like "Wait A Minute."

This and Beyonce's "IIWAB" will be the best 'ballads' on radio this Fall/Winter!

WTAT is not filler. Well radio and digital sales would beg to differ. Well, wouldn't radio airplay = increased exposure = digital sales? Seriously, reading about WTAT on here, I get the impression no one hates the song for the song ITSELF, everyone hates it because it's not what they're expecting. And if that's the case, I think that's disgusting.

I liked that song at first but it got old quickly. With that song struggling to break into the Top 50, much less Top 40, the worse thing the label could do is wait around for it to get a boost out of nowhere. For a brand new PCD song to have so little early interest and with album sales so low, they can't afford a misstep. Sending "I Hate This Part" out now is the absolutely best move they could have made.

What did the label even do in the name of an initial push for WTAT? Because as far as I know it's a possibility that Interscope f@#$ed up in the first place and now they're doing damage control with IHTP which I wouldn't be surprised if it backfires on them Stateside.

Have you learned nothing from the disasters that were the follow up singles of Mariah, Madonna, and Usher this year? Labels waiting around for wrong 2nd singles to catch on prematurely ended all those albums sales in the U.S. It was painfully obvious that WTAT was NOT catching on like it should have. I'm sorry, but if a 2nd single from a huge pop band that's released right when the album comes out (usually the height of publicity for the band) is struggling to even take off even in digital (where sales for songs are always huge when a big new album is released), it's highly unlikely it's going to be a hit in the long run. Sure there's a possibility it may have, but the possibility was very slim, and the label was extremely smart not to risk burying the album in a hole with a flop 2nd single . By rush releasing IHTP (which was the obvious 2nd single choice all along), they're side stepping what could have ended this whole era before it even really got started. I understand fans of WTAT might be upset over this, but looking at this from a business standpoint this was a crucially needed move by the label.

I understand fans of WTAT might be upset over this, but looking at this from a business standpoint this was a crucially needed move by the label. Mariah had a massive push from the label. The single didn't even flop, it just underperformed. Madonna had nothing and did nothing so that single = no presence whatsoever. Usher was probably just expected to ride the coattails of LITC and it didn't. As far as I know the label did nothing to get the ball rolling again. Can someone actually tell me what the label did to promote WTAT? Or were they just expecting everyone to jump on it because 'Oh look, Nu-PCD!' Nowadays you can't expect name to do everything. You gotta put something in to get something out, and as far as I'm aware, Interscope didn't put in for anything to come out.
