I'm surprised this isn't in the top 50 yet, considering "I'm Yours" hit #1. Does this have an adds date?

No, this is much better. This is the only song besides I'm Yours that I find myself actively playing all the time.

This won't be as big as "I'm Yours" in terms of airplay, but I'm quite sure this is going to be Mraz's second-consecutive Top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, as he has a fervent fan base that is bound to electrify digital sales for this, much like they did for "I'm Yours" and "Geek In The Pink" (even when the latter never achieved any level of commercial success aside from a short-lived appearance on the lower regions of the Top 40 here)
This will still get a respectable amount of airplay though. Musically it lacks an immediate hook, but all the same the chemistry Mraz and Caillat share on this track vocally is undeniable, and that will successfully compensate for that, in many respects. Plus, many are already pining for Caillat's sophomore record, I think, and this will help satiate the thirst of her fans in the meantime. In addition, this will be a Top Five hit at Hot AC (it sounds like a bona-fide AC smash too but, with "I'm Yours" only now ascending that chart, is unlikely to make much impact there as long as "I'm Yours" sounds new to listeners there)
My Prediction: #16
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I predict that it will go top 10. It'll only scratch it though. #8.

I predict that it will go top 10. It'll only scratch it though. #8.I admit to heavily underestimating the level of success "I'm Yours" would receive, so I may certainly make the same mistake again! ;) I LOVED "I'm Yours" upon first listen, and KNEW it would explode at the Adult Alternative format. I just never expected that track to go on to top the Mainstream Top 40 chart. And it STILL feels awesome to me to have a song with such minimalist, organic production and raw, simplistic musicianship top this chart in this day in age. :o Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Many people weren't expecting "I'm Yours" to go top 40, let alone #1. And can you blame them either? Especially a soft, lilting track driven by acoustic guitar, a mildly-reggae rhythm that's reminiscent of Jack Johnson's signature sound and gospel back-up vocals toward the end? To my ears anyway, Matt Nathanson's "Come On Get Higher", O.A.R's "Turn The Car Around", even James Morrison's "You Make It Real" all sound/sounded like far more likely Mainstream Top 40 contenders than "I'm Yours". I thought "Come On Get Higher" would scrape the Top Ten here, but it never came close (although it's enjoying great staying power on the iTunes Top 100). I thought it would become something like the next "Your Body Is A Wonderland" on CHR/Pop radio, with its lyrics that walk a clever tightrope between cuteness and outright salaciousness. I certainly couldn't get the chorus out of my head for months whereas, with "I'm Yours", I more loved that track for its gentle, lullabye-like feel. Shows what I know about Top 40 crossovers these days! Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I've liked this since the album dropped. Its short and sweet.
With an adds date, it could be huge. These two are currently huge crossover acts from Hot AC. CHR playlists are also itching for a track like this with all the upbeats and mid-tempos.
And Noah, Come On Get Higher could still take off on Pop.

The track has been declining the Hot AC chart for the last two months, and is now a recurrent there. It's also been about half a year since it peaked at the Adult Alternative format (although it's STILL a current single there) "Come On Get Higher" would certainly have to be the biggest non-Top 40 Billboard Hot 100 hit of 2008, in my view. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I'm Yours always sounded like a smash to me, I was shocked it took so long. This on the other hand is very mediocre, imo, and I can't see it going any higher than #25 on CHR.

I just heard this a few minutes ago on DC's Mix 107.3, our HotAC station. I LOVED it!! A similar quite, peaceful, relaxing vibe than I'm Yours, plus the good combination of soothing voices from Jason and Colby. It lacks the hook of IY, but still quite pleasant to hear. I hope, wish, bet for another Top10 :)

I'm thinking this won't do as well. Although my reasoning might be slightly stuck in the past, it seems almost too rare for a solo male acoustic-based pop artist like Jason Mraz to get two significant hits from one album. I think 'I'm Yours' was COMPLETELY out of left field in terms of its hit status but also a flash in the dark. Will it flash twice? I'm thinking not. I think 'Lucky' is nearly as organic and non-developed (musically, in terms of layers) as 'I'm Yours' was and I doubt Pop radio is as willing to open up to a second similar sounding song, especially if 'I'm Yours' gets any type of recurrent airplay and especially from the same artist. Colbie might help out but at the same time, I'm expecting her next album to not do as well. Maybe a first Top 10 single at the most but I'm thinking she might relocate to Hot AC or even just Triple-A status. I'd be surprised if this made Top 30. Although I do think it will have decent longevity on Hot AC and do well in sales. It'll be one of those well-known hits that don't do well on Pop.

This one seemed to survive too without an adds date.

This one seemed to survive too without an adds date. This has a video/is the next single for sure, is getting airplay on Sirius Hits/etc. and is listed under Cool New Music for Pop on All Access. (along with the other topic you bumped that I refuse to comment the same thing in) ;)

This is the type of song that needs an adds date to take off.

the best song on the album... i'm not sure if it performs well on the chart but it surely deserves to be as huge as I'm Yours.

wow, this is even more boring than "I'm Boring"
I hope this doesn't go very far, Im Boring was like the second worst #1 of 08 on CHR
Why can't he make anymore songs as great as "The Remedy" :(
