Anyone catch her on "Community" last night? How did she do? It was OK...IMO her acting wasn't that great but then again the part she played was kinda bland

I'm still loving the Kat album... her range is great
I love the more pop-rock edged stuff like "It's Not Right", the acoustic friendly tracks and the pure pop goodness that's "How"
It's a shame the album isn't doing better considering all the promo that's going into it on Katharine's part.

What the fuck is up with her hair and outfit? She used to always be so spot on with her look. She's need to go back to the brown hair and nice clothes. That song needs to be a single btw. Not that it would do a lot but it's definitely her best shot.

She was good on Community. You can tell she's done lots of acting before and had good training, she definitely doesn't come across as a singer trying to act.

"Say Goodbye" is a beautiful song! Is that on her new album? She performed it on 'The View' I think.

Has this been posted already? Sorry if it has. Interview with UK entertainment site Digital SpyFour years ago, Katharine McPhee was an unknown hopeful with dreams of fame. Fast-forward to 2010 and the 25-year-old has achieved second place on American Idol, two studio albums (the first of which hit No.2, don't you know), and has successfully carved out an acting career. With an NBC pilot in the pipeline and a guest stint on freshman comedy Community imminent, we thought it was a good time to catch up with the all-singing, all-dancing star. When did you develop a love for acting?"I think it really came in high school. As probably like every other young artist develops, I had a really incredible drama teacher in high school which is funny, because I went to Notre Dame High School, which had a very athletic driven program. There was this gem of a teacher at that school who gave us so many opportunities to do great plays and musicals and that’s where I fell in love with it." What was your first gig?"Well it’s funny, when I left school and I came back to LA, my very first gig was an MTV pilot. It wasn't aired - it wasn't shot on tape - it was presented as a live show and the executives were there. It didn't get picked up but it was my first time doing a pilot. And then I went on to do a bunch of theatre things, like local things in LA. Then of course I auditioned for Idol so the rest is history!" Were you a fan of Community before you got the part?"When I got on the show I was in a really crazy cycle because I was just coming off of my first promo week of my record being released and so I wasn't watching any television at that time. Joel [McHale] asked if I'd seen the show but I hadn't seen all of it, so he says, 'Oh that's horrible - you'd better go home and watch it!' Since then, I've watched literally every episode!" Is there a chance that you'll return at a later date?"I think there’s always a chance. The producers came up to me and said, 'Oh maybe we'll be able to have you back', which is always a nice thing to hear. It means you did a good job. But if my NBC pilot gets picked up, I highly doubt I'll be a guest again." What was it like working alongside Chevy Chase?"He is a fun guy. You never know what’s going to come out of Chevy Chase’s mouth - it's just so unpredictable! And he’s very sweet - I was worried like the first day and I’d never met him before but he was just such a lovely guy." Does comedy come naturally to you?"It's not something I've studied, but I certainly don't call myself a comedian. You give me a microphone to [do] stand-up, it would be the worst thing you've probably seen!" Since you're into both acting and singing, have you thought about appearing on Glee?"That would be great! I love the show, I love the music and I love the dancing. I think they've had lots of people on the show so I don't know if they'll have room for me. But I wouldn't say no!" How will you juggle acting with your music career?"There’s been a lot of great examples out there of people who have done it - I think Barbara Streisand is the perfect one. Obviously I’m a very different artist from her but even J.Lo was doing it for a while, you know. There’s tons of people who do it. Getting more acting gigs makes me that much more excited about the music because I have to really find the time to make it a priority and make it special and it is special." What did you think of Didi Benami's version of 'Terrified' on this year's American Idol?"It kind of brought me back to when I sang KT Tunstall’s song on the show. For me it was great because there was like 20,000 downloads in less than 24 hours just from a girl singing like 20 seconds of the song. I am completely thrilled and we're deciding whether or not we're going to release it as a single. I would like to, I'll put it that way." How do you feel about the recent changes on Idol?"I think it's inevitable that people move on and want to do something different with their life. How many years has the show been on for? That's a long time for them to be doing that, so I don't knock anybody for changing their mind. Even if Simon did leave and the ratings dropped by half, they're still going to be pretty good." Finally, what can you tell us about your character in the NBC pilot you're filming?"Her name is Emily and she's a girl from Chicago. She has a roommate called Jamie - who they're in the process of casting right now - and they don't like each other much because they're the opposite of each other. My character is the anti-Hollywood, while Jamie is the quintessential girl who comes here to LA to simply marry a rich man and that’s her goal in life." Community continues Thursday, March 8 at 8pm on NBC.www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/interviews/a206981/katharine-mcphee-community.html

I watched the episode today and I found her quite good. Her role didn't have too much depth to it, but it worked as a guest spot/character. Plus, how hot was it to see her all naughty?

Are they going to release another single from the album or just give up? Usually, once an album falls off the BB200 they don't bother with more singles. But she has great management and label support.
However, considering the promo they can't be happy with the sales. I think Kat is moving more towards an acting career these days anyway.

Katharine McPhee's Birthday Philosophy: Skip the Gym! Katharine McPhee decided to give herself a break for her 26th birthday. "My trainer texted me to come to the gym and do weights today," she tells PEOPLE. "But I just laughed. 'Haha, very funny. I ain't coming to the gym on my birthday!'" McPhee wanted – and got – the mellow day she had hoped for. "I'm more of a homebody," she says. "I'm not one to make a big deal about birthdays." So after sleeping in till 10 a.m., she decorated Easter eggs over lunch at the Pepsi Refresh cafe (which raised money for her favorite charity, Feeding America), where she enjoyed a chocolate cake. Then she visited her voice teacher and dug into a plate of Gorgonzola gnocchi for dinner with husband Nick Cokas and her mom at her favorite local Italian restaurant, L.A.'s Panzenella. Last stop of the day: British jazz-pop artist Jamie Cullum's show at the Wiltern Theater in L.A., where a mutual friend introduced McPhee to fellow concertgoer Clint Eastwood. "I kept my composure," she says. "I really enjoyed the show, and meeting Clint was a plus." The gifts weren't too shabby either. While Mom got her two crystal chandeliers, her husband of two years followed up on an early present – a custom-made pave diamond initial necklace – with something more practical: gym clothes. "He is so funny," she says. "I am the worst-dressed person at my gym. I always look like I'm in my pajamas, so he got me a bunch of proper gym clothes." McPhee, whose sophomore album Unbroken was released in January, says so far 26 "feels great." "I've had some years where I've woken up and I'm like, 'I'm so old,' and I'm not. People thinking 22 is old is unfortunately part of growing up in Hollywood," she says. "I'm not concerned with the number. I don't feel any different." Next up for American Idol's season 5 runner-up, who starred in The House Bunny and recently guest-starred on NBC's Community: The network's new comedy pilot The Pink House, where she'll play a girl-next-door pharmaceutical rep. www.people.com/people/article/0,,20355172,00.html

What is that for? I saw it's being played in theaters, but why? And what does Zachary Levi have to do with anything? And isn't that still Jason Reeves singing? So many questions. ;)

Kat should have stuck with Pop, but gone in a more girly pop direction instead of this AC stuff that just feels too old and dated for her. Oh well. Hopefully she'll find her niche some day. She has a fantastic voice

Well... Chuck is pretty known show, so this is definitely going to hype up the song... but seriously, why Zachari Levi? It just seems kind of random, unless they're keeping something under their sleeves...

Katharine McPhee & Zachary Levi's Duet: TERRIFIED! Katharine McPhee will soon debut her song “Terrified” featuring Chuck star Zachary Levi, JustJared.com can confirm. “Terrified” will debut tomorrow (May 4) on EW and the video will debut on VEVO on Friday (May 7). The Zachari Levi's version is not bad, actually... but still, i would have liked it to be a reworked version with Jason Reeves... it would have been more fitting too IMO, love that guy's voice... I guess I'm a sucker for that kind of collaborations LOL... I'm in love with Lucky, Droplets and Terrified would have been a great adition to that playlist if it featured Jason in some verse LOL
