Swag, Miami, Tina Parol and Feeling will all pass Yamin, and Yamin is unlikely to pass Looking For, Star, or Lovetakeover... thus this won't go top 50 this week. Ding! Ding! Ding! This snoozefest didn't go top 50 this week and hopefully it won't ever. Wait For You was alright but no need to pollute what little cred he has with this pap. At least he can go out as a guy with a nice one hit wonder. You'll be eating your words in a month or so. This song is not dead. It might not have the big label placement and payola others have, but it's still gaining. WFY was painfully slow at the beginning. There were at least 4 times that it looked like it was dead. You can't compare an indie artist on radio to a big name. It just isn't comparable.

I love this song, it's sad that it's not taking it off at all really. All of my friends that I've played this for have really liked it, and we're requesting it like crazy around here. Keep plugging away. There were a lot of positives last week. Nashville started daytime. Memphis has picked up. Boise is picking up a lot at night. Albany started daytime. Reno is now spinning this 3-4 times a night. I just don't want anyone to give up. It's painfully slow, but it's still making inroads.

Every time it looks like it's turning a corner, it takes 2 steps back. Why do you think that? Compared to previous updates, this was ok. At least it's holding steady and not losing a lot of spins. I also think you have to have lower expectations for weekends considering all the countdowns and OHP. This wasn't a great update, but it certainly wasn't horrible either. Heck, I'd be nervous if he didn't get at least 4 adds tomorrow (which is probably impossible). Heh.

This is interesting. I don't think I've seen two PDs' sound bytes of one song before. I hope this helps in generating more interest with other PD's. This song needs help.

This song needs absolutely no help. There is no reason it's not taking off. Huge callout, obviously the hit predictor was high or Zapoleon would not have hot picked it. This is showing all the signs of WFY. I don't care if he's an indie, this is a hit staring right at them. If they let this flop, radio really needs to take a deep look at themselves. The only reason it isn't blowing up yet is because he's an indie. It's a pathetic way for radio to block him.

I'm not ready to say radio is blocking him. But the indie thing def hurts. Obviously, this song has great callout or Zapoleon wouldn't have called it a hit. It's just that radio refused to take a chance on it.
At least more PDs are coming on board.
His myspace gets big numbers as well. I'm really confused as to what's going on with this song.

Look at the youtube comments too. It's really hard to find a negative comment about the song. You might not be ready to say radio is blocking it, but you know that's the case. How many songs get buzz like this? How many of those stall in the 50's? Hopefully Nashville going to 45 this week will help it reach the top 50.

I'm the same way with my favorite artist.s Nothing wrong with being biased BTW. LOL! Anyway, to my hears, this song just isn't nearly the song that his first single on album #1 was. It's a good song but it really doesn't scream hit to me. The other song was instantly remarkable. Elliot's vocals are good though.

You can't deny what Nashville is saying. You can't deny what Lansing is saying. You can't deny what Tucson, Buffalo, and Syracuse are saying. It's received top 5 phone in Syracuse and Lansing. Nashville is saying it scored very high numbers on Rate The Music. There is absolutely no reason that stations aren't giving this a chance, other than his label. It's not a huge hit like WFY, but it's very capable of being a top 20 hit. This song doesn't deserve to stall in the 50s, nor does it deserve 0 adds a week after 6 Program Directors called this a hit. I may be biased, but these are the facts. How can anyone dispute this?

Well, when a song like Boom Boom Wow is a hit, there's really no accounting for taste and what people react to and like. Maybe the song will pick up some for you guys. I do agree that not being on a major label is a factor. If Elliot wants to do better on pop radio maybe he ought to pursue getting on a major label. Just for comparison purposes, does anyone know how many pop hits there have been from non-major label artists. Is it common? I honestly don't know. I'm just guessing that it is rare.

In this decade I think it's rare. It didn't used to be. He's getting top 5 requests at 4 stations spinning during the day. Huge Rate The Music scores in Nashville How can anyone seriously think this is a flop? Yes, I'm biased, but come on. This is screaming hit.

i personally dont feel a big hit here... That's fine.. I think Boom Boom Pow, Birthday Sex, and I Gotta Feeling are pure trash. Not everyone likes the same music I don't even know how anyone can dispute what actual results are showing. I'm not making this up. It's been posted by several people now. There are people that didn't like WFY either, but it was #3, and would have been #1 if it didn't take so long to take off. It was #1 at one time on probably every pop station in America. I think this song is not anywhere near as strong as WFY was, but the callout is saying it's a hit. Also, the iTunes sales are going up lately.

I'm extremely devastated. Sirius has dropped it, and the bullet is now negative. I know it isn't the song, and that is what pains me the most.
I'm sorry to everyone for being so defensive lately. I really feel that he's getting a raw deal. Hopefully someone offers him some kind of major deal. His music is blowing up in Japan, so I'm happy for him; but he deserves success in the states to.
I know this personally affects me more than most, but it's a damn shame when your label determines how well you'll do on radio.
I really thought the high callout at several stations and the high Rate The Music scores in Nashville would help this take off. Radio seems set on blocking it though.
Hopefully they come to their senses eventually, but I really have my doubts.

Sirius just spun it at 8:55 I refuse to be optimistic again right now, but the fact that they didn't drop it totally, has rejuvenated me.

Unless this song gets adds, it can't go anywhere but down. Cook's single CBTM is having the same problem. So while there may be good/bad news days, without adds further progress on the CHR is kind of impossible.

I don't know if we can read anything into this, but Baton Rouge spun it during the day yesterday. Harrisburg spun it the other night. I agree though, if this doesn't pick up adds soon, it's pretty much done for.

This makes me upset, I loved WFY, it was such a bit hit. And there is no reason in hell for this not to be Top 20!!!!!!! This would get SO MANY spins on Top 40 and Rhythmics, and hell, maybe even some Hot AC!! That is terrible!! Fact is though, I never even heard of this song, and I think it just might be promotion and that not enough people know about this. This deserves so much more.... ugh now im mad, radio gets on my nerves

The album and single are picking up on iTunes Youtube views and comments are picking up. I agree with you. We should all call and request. Let them know we want good music, not the same garbage that is pushed out over and over again. I don't know if you got the album yet, but it's light years better than the debut.

Not dead by any means. The two biggest spinners have dropped this by a huge amount (-20 spins each). It will probably regain its bullet next week.

This song has so much going for it and against it at the same time, it's crazy. I think the problem is that you have to hear it a few times to really get into it. So it feeds on repitition.

Fight For Love has a great contemporary sound and the vocals are crisp. Radio should just spin it and let it go up the charts. It is worthy.

This song is pure ear candy. Elliott's voice is superb on this, and the production fits well.
If this doesn't start taking off, I'll be very disappointed.
