Is her album pretty consistent? I've been pretty impressed with her singles, but I've never had the time to buy the album. I think so, yes. I think it's one of the most solid pop albums of the past few years.

I love her and Lady Gaga because I feel like they are two of the more solid, interesting additions to the pop scene in the past few years. I hope both will continue to be so.

I adore 9 of the songs on the regular CD, so I'd definitely consider it a solid pop album. Oh, and I would burst into tears of joy if 'Fingerprints' wound up closing the era.

I love 1 song on the album, and like about 4 or 5 others. After that I think it's all filler.

She could have had 2 more hits if she had kept IDNHU and Long Shot for herself. Those 2 are stronger than most of what's on the album, imo.

The song is AMAZING, but Katy's vocals are no good in it... At least, the vocals in the demo are really bad :/

Seriously? The song is AMAZING, but Katy's vocals are no good in it... At least, the vocals in the demo are really bad :/ That's because it was a demo and Katy's voice isn't very strong. She needs the studio to sound good, so I'm sure LS would've sounded just as good as she does on any of her other songs if she had done the studio recording.

If another single is released, I really hope that it's Fingerprints. It's such an anthem!

WHAT HAPPENS TO 'VEGAS': On the Pop Songs/Mainstream Top 40 radio chart, Katy Perry becomes the fourth female artist since 2000 - and second this year following Lady Gaga - to earn at least two No. 1s from a debut album, as "Waking Up in Vegas" rolls 2-1. The song displaces "LoveGame" (1-2), Lady Gaga's third leader from her debut album, "The Fame." "I Kissed a Girl," Perry's first chart entry from "One of the Boys," peaked at No. 2 on the list last summer. Follow-up "Hot N Cold" became her first No. 1, reigning for three weeks in the winter. Ballad "Thinking of You" reached No. 17 in March. Here are the four female artists this decade to notch more than one No. 1 from their debut sets on Pop Songs: Christina Aguilera, debut album "Christina Aguilera" "Genie in a Bottle" (four weeks at No. 1) "What a Girl Wants" (two weeks at No. 1) Avril Lavigne, debut album "Let Go" "Complicated" (eight weeks at No. 1) "Sk8er Boi" (one week at No. 1) "I'm With You" (four weeks at No. 1) Lady Gaga, debut album "The Fame" "Just Dance" (two weeks at No. 1) "Poker Face" (five weeks at No. 1) "LoveGame" (two weeks at No. 1) Katy Perry, debut album "One of the Boys" "Hot N Cold" (three weeks at No. 1) "Waking Up in Vegas" (one week at No. 1) "Waking Up in Vegas" also marks the first of the 196 songs that have reached the Pop Songs summit since the chart's 1992 launch to reference a city in its title. The only other No. 1 to include a geographical location in its name was Gym Class Heroes' 2007 leader "Cupid's Chokehold/Breakfast in America." www.billboard.com/#/news/chart-beat-wednesday-katy-perry-rob-thomas-1003998678.story

The album is a grower. I only liked 3-4 songs on the very first few listens but I ended up liking most of the tracks. My favorite is 'Mannequin'.

Also, their writing their own songs just makes them more credible to me.

I had to listen to the song a few times for it to grow on me. Now I like it a lot.

Is her album pretty consistent? I've been pretty impressed with her singles, but I've never had the time to buy the album. Nope. With the exception of "Thinking Of You", the singles are the best songs in the album. There's too much filler.

This is my 2nd favorite 2009 CHR/Top 40 #1, just behind "Gives You Hell".
Glad this went #1. :)

The only track on the album that I consider filler is 'I'm Still Breathing,' which is probably my least favorite. I could see everything else being a single, with maybe the exception of 'Ur So Gay.'
