Reposting the stats from page 2.
As of the 7/28/12 Pop Songs chart
Notes: * "S&M" is not counted for Britney Spears, as her name was never added to airplay credits, even for a single week) * Mariah Carey's totals include "All I Want For Christmas is You," which appeared on Billboard's Top 40 Mainstream chart (but not R&R)
I think I've got the numbers straight.

^ Thank you. I'd like to see where Prince and MJ rank, not just females.

With "Girl Gone Wild" officially cracking Billboard's Mainstream Top 40 chart, Madonna extends her total to 55 entries (updated on this page).

Unless I'm not understanding those lists, Kelly should be included in the Top 5 list as she now has 10: A Moment Like This (#4), Miss Independent (#1), Breakaway (#1), Since U Been Gone (#1), Behind These Hazel Eyes (#2), Because of You (#1), Walk Away (#5), My Life Would Suck Without You (#3), Already Gone (#5), and Stronger (#1). And she has 11 top ten hits...all of those plus I Do Not Hook Up (#8). Oh, and she now has 5 #1 hits, so she can be on that list, as well.

^No, you're understanding them correctly. Periods go by where not all the info was updated to the week, so that's why I rely on reminders like this. I've updated to account for KC's top 10 and top 5 tallies. Much thanks. )

With "Girl Gone Wild" becoming another top 40 hit for Madonna at the pop format, why not look back at her 55 top 40 entries at the pop format?
Peaks are for Radio & Records' CHR/Pop through 2006; if the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 peak from 1992-2006 differed, I list it in parentheses. Peaks for 2006-on are from Billboard's chart.
Weeks on the chart reflect time in the top 40, up through 1993; for 1993-2006 tracks, it's time in the top 50. For 2008-present, it's, again, time in the top 40.
1. Holiday: No. 15/8 weeks 2. Borderline: No. 13/14 weeks 3. Lucky Star: No. 3/11 weeks 4. Like a Virgin: No. 1 (3 weeks)/11 weeks 5. Material Girl: No. 1 (1 week)/12 weeks 6. ^Thank you much- just did. :)
Though I list 15 and up for the top 20 hits, it's worth mentioning that "Dance Again" this week becomes Jennifer Lopez's 14th top 20 hit at pop radio.

With Rihanna's "Where Have You Been" debuting on Pop Songs this week, Rihanna lands her 33rd top 40 entry. I've updated it on this page. 33? Good fucking God. In 7 years? (Well, almost 7). Assuming she makes 2 more entries in the next couple months and gets 35, thats an average of 5 a year. Incredible.

^The consistent rate of releasing albums, in conjunction with a number of "featurings," has helped her get to that high amount in such a short time.

"Where Have You Been" climbs to No. 8* on Billboard's chart, so it's 22 tops 10s for Rihanna. I've updated the list on this page.

Thanks for the updates, HG, always good to take a look at this list! Some questions: - Does JLo's list include T.H.E.? - Hasn't Wide Awake reached Top 5 on Pop yet? - Is Kelly already in its 17th Top 40 hit with Dark Side? - Did you stop on 18 Top 40s to avoid including Cher ?

I think he goes by official Sunday updates. Wide Awake was #6 last week. I had the same thought, lol.

Yah- I actually am going by Billboard's Pop Songs chart for recent activity, when I update the list.
JuanK 1. Lopez's top 40 count does include "T.H.E." 2. 'Wide Awake" will add to Perry's top 5 count- once the official chart is know. :) 3. Yes, "Dark Side" is Clarokson's 17th top 40 entry. 4. Cher has 16 top 40 entries, since Radio & Records started publishing. I adore Cher, so I wouldn't do that to keep her from being listed. :)

Updated P!nk's top 20 count and Katy Perry's top 5 count. Will Perry's track keep Rihanna from scoring another No. 1 at the pop format? Stay tuned.

I had P!nk's top 40 count at 22, but looks like it's 21. I probably erroneously counted the first run of "Who Knew" in the total.

I didn't update it yet (as the final Pop Songs chart has not been released), but Katy Perty this week will tie Rihanna for nine No. 1 hits at the pop format.

LOL @ Katy and Rihanna racking up a dozen hits each since the beginning of this thread. Looks like those numbers may not stand for much longer.
