Is it just me or is the chart acting crazy again like it was a few months back? A lot of songs have been having these very rare enormous updates. (+200) Meanwhile, older songs are dying at a slower rate than normal ("Halo" for example) and newer songs at the bottom of the chart are struggling to have any sort of consistency.
Then at the top of the chart, you have songs like "I Gotta Feeling" which continue to explode even past the rare 10,000 spin mark. (they currently have a +1000 bullet too) Then you have a few songs beneath that with very high spin counts for their position. 8,500-9,000 spins would get you #1 in a normal week. Now it's not even good enough for #2. Very odd. Is CHR experiencing another abnormal few weeks or is this just a new pattern emerging?

CHR is just having a week where a lot of songs are peaking at once and they have nothing they want to replace them with, so there's a weird shift as they try to smooth things out.

Songs always stabalize when they fall to the #16-#20. It's not abnormal at all for Halo to be doing this. Look at any Rihanna single and you'll see the same thing.

I agree, i am really shocked how high the "I Gotta Feelin" buillet is, especially after the fact that it already got to #1. I guess it's just meant to be bigger than we thought. Without a doubt the song of the summer.

Nothing is a new pattern for CHR/Pop. We've had so many cycles over the years that we've just about seen everything once or more than once. And we'll see them again.

I've followed radio long enough to know that things change constantly but the last time I remember the chart acting like this was when this happened: pulsemusic.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=pop&action=display&thread=84688I was just wondering if something like that could be happening again and maybe we haven't picked up on it. Or perhaps it's just another natural shift occurring right now.
