I am a little confused. First, is this actually his official first single? If it is, then it isn't a single off his album in all probability but just a song they will send to radio. I doubt he does much, if any, promotion for it. I think it sounds great from the snippet and I am not going to judge a song that was written for a movie, not for Adam himself. If this isn't his first single then shouldn't this thread be closed? The thread is apparently for an unnamed single that has been given an adds date which is why I think this is open. The snippet of a song posted in here doesn't have an adds date. It was just posted as a conversation piece I guess since the real single isn't available. Yup.

They shouldn't send it to radio at all, any format that would play it would also play his real single. I think this will be like Carrie Underwood's Ever Ever After from the Enchanted soundtrack. That had a video as well (this song will too).

I actually think TfM sounds promising. It's not a radio hit or anything, but it sounds very Queen in a good way.

I know the clip isn't the single but a whole album of him singing would be too much for me. His voice just goes too high or something.

That AOL clip is SO much better than the Amazon clip. I can just imagine that song being sung at the Oscars with a full orchestra.

The Oscars? I think the Oscars won't take anything about that movie seriously tbh. Including music.
It's good this won't be a single. Now just release that single already.

I suspect there's a hell of a lot of bickering from the songwriters and producers over who gets the first release. You've got RedOne, Linda Perry, Ryan Tedder, Max Martin, and Rob Cavallo all with their hands in the cookie jar, all wanting that first release.
Besides, it's not like releasing earlier has done Kris or Allison any favors. Plus, Adam has TFM coming out which is set to be released digitally next week.

"Time For Miracles" has been fully released.
The final chorus is just bliss.

Very disappointing, it doesn't rock hard enough. The music is too lame to support his voice.
Where the hell is his single?

I hope his single sounds nothing like TFM.

I absolutely love this song, it is beautiful and his vocals are just impeccable. It is the perfect thing to hold me over for his album material which should be completely different. Adam is like Kelly Clarkson, he could sing anything and it would be amazing!

I love it too. He said it's not anything like what's on his album, but it's a beautiful song, and I'm glad we got to hear this side of him. I cannot WAIT to see the music video for this when it shows right before This is It. That's amazing publicity and to hear this in a movie theatre sound system and see Adam up on the big screen? I might just die a happy death.
Well done Adam!
FWIW, the official release date for TFM has been pushed back to October 27th to coincide with the This is It premiere.
I find it kind of funny that Sony has managed to market both Adam and TFM on the backs of its two biggest movies of the holiday season.

Are they ever going to release his single...? At this point it'll have like a month at most on radio before his album drops.

Idol's with their debut albums don't always need the hype from a debut single to help their album sales. David last year didn't really have one until son before his album dropped, and his album actually sold quite well through the holidays. Daughtry also was kinda single-less, and then INO blew up after the holiday's, really. I think there's enogh buzz around Adam to have that initially, at least, sustain his album sales. If he wants to keep them up there, though, he'll need a hit eventually, obviously. I think he'll have success more similiar to Daughtry, ftr, than David Cook.

I would absolutely kill for an Adam/Kelly duet. I think my heart would stop and I'd flail myself to death.

Anything with his excruciating vocals will flop. Its just too harsh on too many people's ears. Imagine turning on the radio to THAT! :o

While a song that largely consists of the vocals you find at the end of Time for Miracles may not be totally suitable for radio, he does know how to reel it in and tone down when he has to, and I am sure there will be songs like that on there. He's extremely talented and capable of more than "shrieking"

I'm very curious if they'll release a radio edit of this song to radio. It's super long as is at nearly 5 minutes long. They could very easily chop off 1 1/2 minutes of it

I'm pretty sure TFM is just a promo single for the movie. I doubt they'll be sending it to radio considering Adam's actual single is coming out any day now.

After that, I couldn't allow my ears to be assaulted like that. And then having the judges riding his dick over those performances... talking about him being destined to become this huge worldwide star... talk about being in the Twilight Zone! :o

And actually, I have to agree with you on Satisfaction. I love Black or White, but when I first saw Adam was during Satisfaction and I hated that performance. It still bothers me to this day. I generally find the rest of his stuff fantastic though

I am fully convinced that once his songs are on the radio people will discover that his novelty scream just can't carry a song. I saw him in concert and the only song I even LIKED, okay Mad World was okay, but otherwise he only sounds good singing Led Zepplin.
I hated his stage theatrics and was really disgusted by it. Family-friendly he wasn't, and it was mostly families there. I can't really say I hope he succeeds.

Judging by, oh, everything he's done past Idol, I don't think he cares one lick about being "family friendly." If Adam cared one iota about being family friendly, he wouldn't be practically having simulated sex with a naked woman in Details magazine and talking about his cocaine use.
But, seeing as how everyone working on his album from Max Martin, to Dr. Luke, Rob Cavallo, RedOne, Greg Wells, and even Paul McCartney's guitarist Brian Ray are all saying that they can't wait for the world to hear his album because they all think it's amazing then my bet is that it'll do well.
ETA-Looks like Adam and Lady Gaga ARE recording a duet together:
Well hot damn.

Judging Adam only on Satisfaction & BOW isn't fair - I HATED him after those 2 performances. Tracks of my Tears, Mad World, Feelin' Good, A Change Gonna Come, Whole Lotta Love & Slow Ride were phenomenal. I also loved Ring of Fire but that's probably his most polarizing performance of all.
