The longer this is going, the more I'm thinking it would be better if Katy finally closed this era and started working on new material. to be honest I'm not so confident about Dressin Up's success right now...
The Complete Confection was never going to sell as much as the original. It's basically just the original album with 2 previously released remixes, 1 new song, 2 reworked demos, and a megasix smash-up. Most big KatyCats already have all those songs except Wide Awake and the megasix smash-up. So 33k was pretty much expected.

I would have preferred it if she bucked the trend, respected her fans and did not re-release. There was zero need to. She could have taken a break and issued a new album at the end of this year.

I like TOTGA and DU and I love POM but I would've preferred if she ended the era after LFN.

Respect her fans? I'm a huge Katy fan, which means I want new material, she gave me new material, I'm happy! The fans weren't forced to buy the re-release, they can just download the other tracks.....

But in re-releasing, she is making the fans wait even longer for a full album. I'd rather have 10+ new songs than just 3.

I want Wide Awake next. Then come back Xmas or spring of next year. Preferably a spring downtempo, followed by another Katy uptempo summer smash!

I'm seriously wondering if there might be a woman on earth more stunning. The girl looks sexy with just about every color as hair color.

She's probably the hottest woman in music, which is one of the reasons why I like her so much. However, guys like me don't like the extravagant hair colors, so she's not as attractive to me with unnatural colors.

I wasn't really keen on the blue hair at first either, then I saw this: And then I was like . The girl is flawless!

I suppose this explains why image is still so important, but I still find this statement a bit depressing. I like her because of that, not her music. Her person and her music are two separate entities to me. I don't listen to music because of image, and I don't look at someone's image because of her music. The main reason why I am interested in her is because I find her highly attractive, but I rarely listen to her music unless you count the normal release-day interest. I'm not as shallow as that statement made me seem. :'(

I've never been too fond on the whole Gaga/Minaj extravagant pink, blue, green, purple hair colors. But I gotta say, Katy works the blue flawlessly.

I think releasing wide awake at the same time as the movie would be smart

What "music video" is Katy talking about on Twitter? She just tweeted that it's the "3rd long ass day of shooting the new music video!" Is this for the Part of Me 3D movie? Or is she actually filming a video for an eighth single?

All signs point to "Wide Awake." As much as I don't want another single, I'd much rather it be that than Dressin' Up.
Katy Perry Wraps New Video For Complete Confection Track Pop singer hints that the new clip will play a part in her upcoming 3-D flick, 'Katy Perry: Part of Me.' By Jocelyn Vena (@jocelyn1212)
Katy Perry has some news for her Katy Cats. She just wrapped up production on a brand-spankin'-new music video. The singer tweeted about the shoot, teasing that the video will play some part in her forthcoming 3-D big-screen spectacle "Katy Perry: Part of Me," out in July.
"3rd long ass day of shooting ... the new music video!!!!! #workinggirl," she tweeted late Wednesday. "About to shoot one of the last scenes for the music video ... I have to pick a costume from the Cali Dreams Tour, which would u pick? #KP3D."
While she didn't specify for which track she was shooting the video, when she sat down with MTV News in March, she noted that she did have a video concept in mind for her Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection track "Wide Awake."
"I know exactly what that music video is. I know exactly who is directing it. I know the art direction, the people, the narrative," she explained. "And I had that idea while I was writing the song."
In the same interview, Perry talked about the dreamy breakup track. "Well, there were two songs that I had from Teenage Dream that I couldn't put on, it was 'Part of Me' and 'Dressing Up.' And then I knew we were doing the re-release and so I was like, 'I got to get in the studio,' because I can't wait eight months to be able to put out this feeling that I'm feeling right now," she said. " 'Cause God knows, it would take eight months to do another record. I couldn't do it on the fly, to set up records it takes time.
"So I was like, 'I'm getting into studio.' I had two days to write and I wrote it with my regular crew," she said of working with Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Bonnie McKee for the song. "Then I had two days to record. It was literally ... I submitted the lyrics before I submitted the music because it was by the hair of my chinny chin chin that I put that song on the record. But I have a film that's coming out in the summer that's like a concert documentary. Not only did I write the song because I needed to flush that out of my system, but I wrote it for the film as well."

God please no. I love Katy and want her to be successful, but she has accomplished so much this era and it is time to have a break. This all started two years ago. As much as I would like for other singles to be released, it is time to stop.

In a recent interview with The New Yorker which discussed how songs were created, Ester Dean (Firework, Peacock) revealed; www.newyorker.com/reporting/2012/03/26/120326fa_fact_seabrook?currentPage=7I hope Katy doesn't start taking songs from other writers. That would be lowering herself to Rihanna's and Britney's level. The fact that she (co-)writes her own songs is part of why I like her so much, because she's a skilled songwriter along with all the other things. I was thinking though; how cool does "Edge" sound as an album title? IDK why but it just works well IMO. I really hope she's started working on Album 3 though, I'm getting slightly fed up with Teenage Dream by now.
