What media outlets insinuated that she copied Beyonce? I remember KELLY said that people at HOME would think that she ripped Beyonce off, but I don't recall the media saying Kelly ripped her off. ??? This sums it up very well:

Does anyone know what the best audio/vocal tour performance of MLWSWY is? I'm making my own damn tour CD since we probably won't get one yet again and I've collected what I feel are the clearest/strongest audios of pretty much every other song. I haven't gone through every tour, but the NY and Fresno audios are so crystal clear they make up the majority, but for MLWSWY, I actually liked San Jose's audio more than those two cities, but the quality isn't great. Any other cities I should check out? Thanks!

This sums it up very well: See but that directly says that listeners heard it not the media. Just wanted to point that little fact out.

This sums it up very well: See but that directly says that listeners heard it not the media. Just wanted to point that little fact out. More than listeners took notice to the songs' similarities. EW's blog did, MTV did. Honestly, when 'Wanted' the record was released, there was tonnes of chatter on this forum even about 'Gone' ripping off 'Halo'. Look at these headline stories listed below. It comes as no surprise that Kelly felt (justifiably, IMO) in a position to defend herself from the song theft claims. If the same happened to any other artist, I would hope and expect them to defend themselves (I personally would not have done it the manner that Kelly did though). Entertainment Weekly: Did Kelly Clarkson rip off Beyonce? Perez Hilton: Kelly Copying Beyonce? Newser: Clarkson, Beyoncé Songs Nearly Identical NME: Did Kelly Clarkson Copy Beyonce's Halo? Entertainment Weekly: Kelly Clarkson's 'Already Gone': Does it really rip off Beyonce's 'Halo' MTV: Think Kelly Clarkson's 'Already Gone' Sounds Like Beyonce's 'Halo?' The Insider: Beyonce's Halo Has Already Gone To Kelly Clarkson _______________________________________________________ On a lighter note, 'Life Would Suck' (Glee Version) remains at #7 on the iTunes chart and Kelly's single has moved from off the top 300 chart pre-Glee to #138 now in the 24 hours since it aired on 'Glee' (that a move of + 162 at least) !

Lol at the generalization going on in this thread. I feel like people are forgetting what Kelly said on the matter. If I remember correctly, she stated her side of the story just as tactfully as Tedder did. For the record, I don't really consider Tedder 100% at fault, as Kelly did write most of the song, but, still... he knew they sounded almost exactly the same, I really wish he wouldn't play dumb. Also, I really dislike that he says Kelly was trying to 'sabotage' the song. Bitch, please. Kelly has nothing but love for the song, and she's stated several times that she wishes it to be extremely successful. K3LLZ IZ TEH BEST ARTEST EV@R RYUN TEDDUR MUST DYE!!!!111!1!

I admit that making those generalizations is fairly abrasive because everyone assumes it's about them whether I say there are exceptions or not. Neally, I've always seen you as fairly objective and wouldn't include you in that bunch. But that's simply what I've seen from her fanbase as a whole in the time I've been posting here.

Even when Kelly isn't as skinny as before, I still think she has a gorgeous face, and the most grouse facial expressions. She makes me smile so easily.

I'm a youtube junkie tonight and just came across a 'Hazel Eyes' performance that I do not recall having seen before. Apparently, Kelly also performed the song the night she accepted the Entertainer of the Year Award in Vienna, Austria a few months ago at the Women's World Awards.
I am posting this video because I have never heard her recently perform 'Hazel Eyes' so close to the recorded production, but she did incredibly here:

She sounds fantastic in that performance. I forgot how good it was. Too bad they didn't air it on TV. :(
I wonder why she never goes for the high note in the bridge? She hits the same notes and ones even higher night after night on tour. Not saying she has to do it on tour all the time, but she seriously has only attempted it twice in the five years since we've heard the song.

I've kinda gotten used to the no high note on the bridge anymore..and in that performance it sounded so much better with the "A" note instead of going up to the F# note. Plus she went up to an "E" during that riff part during the end. Seriously though i think her voice has been the most consistent this era by far. I mean I can't recall a bad performance from her during this era. She definitely has stepped it up vocally since she has started and I couldn't be happier.

thanks Maria for those pics...that first one is adorable.
Aww....I would like to see a Kris/Kelly duet...it would definitely be a nice singer/songwriter style song, like Maybe, I wonder if their voices would complement each other? Very nice complement he gave Kelly as well.
Is anyone else interested in getting media from the last show of the tour? I especially want to see how WAM is going to be.....the last stop is New Orleans, right?? Man, throw out the bluesy, ballsy stuff Kelly....make it dirty and gritty girl. Showcase that horn section..

That BTHE performance is good, although Kelly seemed to fumble with the lyrics. As an aside, I loved that dress on her, although she looked like she could barely sit down in it, let alone hop around the stage.
I'd be interested as well to hear thoughts on the best tour performances. My ipod list is dominated by the Hammerstein show and the Hautnah show in Germany. Your best bet for MLWSWY may be to try to get a good audio file of the MMVA, Operacion Triunfo or Kimmel shows. Those were all great performances. It's still a shame she never got to perform MLWSWY at a US awards show, especially since she didn't really have the song 100% down yet when she did it on Idol and SNL.

Has a fourth single been confirmed yet for Kelly? Not yet! We're all just hoping she'll get one! And I'm personally hoping it is either If I Can't Have You or All I Ever Wanted.

I'm loving the variety - we've seen year-end honors discussing MLWSWY and IDNHU and or decade-end honors discussing SUBG, Breakaway, Because of You, AMLT, and BTHE. It's a recognition of the strength of her catalogue of songs.

Would you mind posting a download link after you've completed it? I'd love a tour cd also. Once I finish it (and figure out how to put it on a place people can download it haha), sure! And wallace, I'm looking to keep this strictly a tour CD (though I do have the audio for her fantastic OT performance). And just because the quality is so good, my tour audios are mostly from Hammerstein and Fresno, except for Impossible--I liked Uncasville's best so far. I wish there were clearer audio from the San Jose show I was at, but oh well.
