Can't wait for the next anti grammy concert Arcade Fire has. You seem to forget a lyric about Eminem's thoughts on the Grammys from about ten years ago in the great hit "The Real Slim Shady". All you have to do for AOTY is ask yourself, "Will this album seem dated twenty years from now?" Em's new album is great, but even ten years from now the production will seem overused and tired.

2010: Em was 2 for 3. 2011: Em was 2 for 10.
Em is now 13 for 36 in his career.
Also, No Breaks, I mentioned that numerous pages back. lol. Arcade Fire album isnt very good imo. I think that will sound very dated in 20 years. We all have our opinions. Obviously enough people found each album deserving of a nomination.

I like how people were surprised Bieber didn't get BNA, kid hasn't even went Top 10 on POP yet, his core audience. Felt bad for the kid, but his clock is ticking. X Factor will create a superstar or supergroup that will likely leave him in the dust. Justin lost for the same reason The Jonas Brothers lost Best New Artist.

I think the Decemberists could stand a chance, now that Arcade Fire has got the ball rolling.

Even Eminem knows and said that Rihanna is a big reason why he was even up there tonight. I'm no big Rihanna fan, but it's pretty obvious that she was a big reason why his album was a success. LMAO. Rihanna's recent album (and tour) flopped yet she is somehow a "big reason" for Em's success. Puh-leez. Would Eminem lie?

applechic ,you really must have good information to show that Rihanna is not a good reason for Em's success, and her so-called flop album and tour. PROOF?

I'm really happy with the majority of the results! I really wish Katy Perry would have won a Grammy but maybe next time. Mumford & Sons were my favorite performance and 'Not Like The Movies' is one of my favorite songs so I'm really glad Katy sang that.

Can't wait for the next anti grammy concert Arcade Fire has. What difference does it make if they have an anti grammy concert? Just because they won doesn't mean they shouldn't continue a great idea.

Meatball. You have a brain that is equal to a ball of meat. Take it how you want. Synonym: Dumbass, dip$hit, dim, dull, moron, idiot, Britney fan, and so on. ... With no hopes of resurrection. Better Reviews does not equal favorite. lol. But... It apparently does ???

People are forgetting Speak Now. Especially since a country album almost always gets nominated.

I hope Skylar Grey would release her own material soon. I think she has the shot to be the next big thing, probably a female Bruno Mars?

I don't think Beyonce will release her new album before September though.
What she might do is to release one or two singles before September, and grab two or three awards from the R&B or Pop field, then release the album in September or October and wait for 2013.

I don't think Beyoncé will release an album before the eligibility deadline, probably just a single. I think we'll see her single get nominated.
Kanye will without a doubt get a Grammy nomination for MBDTF. GaGa will most likely receive one for Born This Way.

I'm in love with "The Suburbs". That song and video reminds me of when I was a kid.

The 2011 Grammy Awards: With the exception of a few wins and performances, the 2011 Grammy Awards was an ok show.
There were predictable, yet disappointing wins (Lady A's too-many wins for "Need You Now") and some shocking wins (Esperanza Spalding).
There was a chicken, an egg, and a performance by Usher (and company) that laid an egg.
At least most of it was interesting.
Best Performances: 1. Cee Lo Green's "Forget You"...with Gwyneth Paltrow and the Muppets 2. Katy Perry 3. Aretha Franklin tribute 4. Mick Jagger
Worst Performances: 1. Usher + Justin Bieber + Jaden Smith = horrible disaster. 2. Bob Dylan - He's a legend, but the voice was horrible. 3. Lady Gaga - So much hype and it ended up being...an egg and a bad Madonna flashback. 4. Arcade Fire = headache 5. Rihanna - Two performances by Rihanna and, imo, Gwyneth Paltrow sang better in one limited performance.
Expected (just there/seen it before) Performances: 1. Miranda Lambert 2. Eminem 3. Barbra Streisand
The rest I guess weren't memorable or were so bad I'm purposely forgetting them.
The 2012 Grammy Awards: If U2, Beyonce, or Alison Krauss release anything within the eligibility period, I think they are the leading contenders at the 2012 Grammy Awards.

I would agree with those two. A lot of albums yet to be released though.
I still think Eminem will see a nice post Grammy spike from this year. We will see though.
