Alicia will probably win one or two awards in the R&B field if her label play their cards right. But I think she and Jay-Z are definitely front-runners for Rap/Sung and Rap Song. I don't see much competition coming soon.

I think Alicia Keys can be a big winner this year between ESOM and her album.

Alicia's album might have been snubbed, but she still won Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for a flopped song and no corresponding R&B nominations. That should be a sign that the voters like her a lot.

Yea, she's definitely a Grammy baby to an extent. No One and Superwoman one back to back. Lesson Learned was nominated. The album itself may have been snubbed for nominations but she always gets some for her songs.

Alicia Keys has won 12 Grammys since 2002. All of them have been in categories that existed before 2002 and she won a Grammy for SOTY. She is definitely a Grammy favorite. I don't it's right to underestimate her.

^What do the categories have to do with it? this is her worse reviewed album and doing the worse comercially! I love her but i wont be suprised if she gets snubbed. Hell look what happen to Whitney last year. BUT ESOM will clean up

I'm just saying, she has yet to benefit from newer categories, but she still has a ton of Grammys in such a short period time without them. That may not be important to you, but I think that's a good sign that she is respected with voters. AIA and Unplugged were on par with EOF as far as reviews go. And please don't compare her to Whitney. Whitney has received a lot of love over the years, but she was never a huge favorite, especially in the R&B field. Alicia IS. She has 12 Grammys. And you don't love her if you referred to her as "A-screecha." I already know why you are trying to discredit her, but I'm not even going there with the childish/st@n vs. st@n stuff. Alicia is very much in this race. We'll see if she is snubbed or shown love.

Well werent you predicting Whitney to win big this year? My point is that anything could happen and I wouldnt be suprised. And please tell me why I am trying to "discredit" her? I call her "A-screecha" bc if you heard her sing Send Me An Angel on Hope for Haiti would understand :) No shade!

Did I say I was predicting Alicia to win big this year? No. I say don't underestimate her because we know the voters like sucking her tits. And what does me predicting that Whitney would get some love have to do with me saying Alicia is a contender, which she is considering she has material in contention?
You don't have to worry. She won't break Beyonce's record, if that's what you're pressed about. The end.

I would be surprised if Alicia didn't get any nominations at all. The grammy awards tend to latch onto certain artists and nominate them even if the era is not very successful or they haven't done much. Christina, John Mayer, U2, others I am probably not thinking of at the moment all seem in the same boat as Alicia where if they have ANYTHING eligible they will be nominated somewhere.

That's why I found it weird how they snubbed her for R&B Album and Song but gave her a win for R&B Female over Jennifer Hudson and Jazmine Sullivan, who both landed more nominations. People need to check Alicia's stats. She has four wins in R&B Female with several other wins. She IS a favorite and I don't see that changing. They'll probably nominate her somewhere. However, if Sade is submitted to R&B, they could be a threat, and I would be rooting for them.

Ke$ha, Jay Sean, Jason Derulo, B.o.B., Bruno Mars, Orianthi, The Script, Taio Cruz, Ryan Bingham - Biggest contenders so far.
Ke$ha Possibilites Record Of The Year (if it's a number one hit) - Your Love Is My Drug Song Of The Year - Your Love Is My Drug Best New Artist Best Dance Album Best Dance Recording - Your Love Is My Drug, Tik Tok, Take It Off. Best Pop Collabo - Blah Blah Blah feat. 3OH!3 ---Don't be shocked if she gets an AOTY nomination either. If, and only if, she continues on with her music streak, she may possibly land a nomination. Seeing as the Grammy's are going back to popular nominations, she isn't out of the question. Look at Poker Face (Poker Face was a better song, I know)
Lady Gaga & Beyonce - Telephone - Pop Collabo B.o.B. feat Bruno Mars - Nothin' On You - Rap Collabo. Empire State of Mind - Rap Collabo, ROTY, SOTY. Alicia Keys & Beyonce - Put It In a Love Song - R&B Collabo.

That would be awesome if Ke$ha could land a nomination or two! Maybe New/Artist and something for Tik Tok! Even one nomination would make me happy :)
And ya, Alicia will get a bunch of nods, she's a favorite. But I don't see her taking more than 4, but who know;s. Empire State of Mind might be the best bet for a GF nod.
If it's nominated for Record of the Year, it will be Jay Z's third nomination in that category(with Beyonce/Rihanna/And Alicia...strange)

Kesha will definitely be nominated, but I think how the rest of her year goes will determine how many nominations she will receive.

Does anyone think it's not right that there isn't a Best Female Rock Performance award anymore? What's the big deal, I mean there are literally 8,000 R&B awards and yet they can't justify giving out an award to a rock female...I think the last award went to Pink...it's a shame since there are some deserving females out there.

Taylor should get some nominations.TWAF and Fearless[Song] should get some nods. Since Fearless was nominated for none of the songs from that album can be nominated this year. TWAF wasn't on Fearless though, so it can be.

I think BNA is a lock. As tik Tok might actually get ROTY nod. IMO She deserves a number. Tik Tok > Bad romance in terms of the dance catergory.

Alicia will be a big winner... between ESOM and her album. Maybe even that collabo with Beyonce as well. It should be interesting.
And Gaga will have the Pop/Dance categories on lock. Hell, maybe even long-form music video.
