Here are the top 5 based on the FC poll results. 1. Temporary Home 2. Cowboy Casanova 3. Undo It 4. What Can I Say 5. Quitter Hmm..no SWISLY. I guess WCIS is interchangeable depending on the mood. She needs to release 6 singles this era.

SWISLY was top 7. And, given that it's the critical darling of the bunch. I'd be willing to bet it gets a released. I'll stop there. I feel like I'm throwing this thread off-topic.

This song isn't the greatest...but c'mon, it's Carrie...this one IS growing on me. I predict it to be followed by Quitter as the 4th single, in the fall...then Someday When I Stop Loving You as probably the 5th and final single, but I could see What Can I Say getting released as a potential 6th single also.
Anyway, back to Undo It...I predict a #1 country (no-brainer) and T10 on the hot 100...

I just hope they use at least part of the tour video for Undo It, and mix it up with the live footage they shot from the Ohio concert this past week. That tour video for Undo It is WAY too good to not use it.

I'm a little sad we know it's a live video, but I guess I'd rather know now than be pissed when it comes out.
I can't believe Songs Like This wasn't top 5 in that poll! :o I thought it was really popular. I don't even remember What Can I Say.

So does this really have a lyric reading "You stole my happy"? Please tell me that isn't the case. Please promise me that my radio isn't going to be spewing out a voice singing "you stole my happy" 40 times a week while I pull out what remains of my hair.
I never let Mark Wills steal my cheesy, or Martina steal my screechy, so I can't let Carrie, or anybody else, steal my happy.

So does this really have a lyric reading "You stole my happy"? Yeah, and it's the first line in the chorus...

I actually love the chorus, lyrically. I feel like the 2nd verse is the weakest as far as lyrics go.

I wish the chorus was always like the final one where it is only a drumbeat and her voice. That would have made for a fantastic song.
Zazie, have you listened to the song yet? Thoughts?

I would've much rather have had "Quitter." Hopefully that's next. I just can't get into this one.
The ballad single has to be "Someday When I Stop Loving You," even if that means that the gorgeous "What Can I Say" has to be passed up. This is the first Carrie album that I've felt could have more than five singles.

I think if they hadn't messed with Carrie's voice on the chorus for this song, a lot more people would love it. I don't mind it, but a number of people seem to.
However, I think this song will definitely go to #1, and has more of a cross-over potential than Cowboy Casanova had. But without an adds date on other formats, it'll probably stall like CC did. I feel like if they're going to release UI, they might as well go all out for the cross-over. This is hands down the most cross-over friendly song she's had since the Some Hearts days.

I'm disappointed, but not surprised, that this is the single. It will most likely go #1 and be a big hit, but I would've preferred "Songs Like This", or even "Quitter".

'Songs Like This' would have been a great choice, the best choice at this point. This is just average, nothing spectacular here. It'll probably do well, of course. The ballads from this album are the real highlights... I think 'What Can I Say' has a better chance of being released over 'SWISLY' though, regardless of whether or not it's the critics favorite. It would obviously be the bigger hit of the two.

I wonder how awkward it would sound if she stopped singing abruptly after "i wanna' and let the drums beat until she finishes with "undo it" without singing the 'uhs' in the middle. Because I like the feel of the song until it gets to the uhs.

No, I intend to avoid this song at all costs. Eventually it will catch up to me, but these days I am very happy and I'm not going to let some annoying single steal that from me. I'm keeping my happy as long as I can.

I wouldn't be a happy guy if someone stole my puppy. That was a good one, though. I needed a good laugh this morning. Thanks.

You stole my puppy You made me cryThat made me happy. This has been a grower on me as a single. I wanted Quitter but this is just the obvious choice for a hit. And Zazie, I don't think you'd like this. It's country-pop with the chorus being solely pop.

If this song peaks by August, then I wonder if they will release another midtempo or upbeat song next, or if they will release SWISLY or What Can I Say for the Fall, just in time to peak for the CMAS?

I wasn't supportive of this choice at all initially (because I resented the fact that they didn't choose Songs Like This or Quitter). However, it's starting to grow on me.

I really wanted Quitter to be released, but I'm fine with this choice now. I'm thinking:
3. Undo It (Peak in July/August) 4. What Can I Say (Peak November-ish) CMA performance 5. Quitter (Peak March or so) 6. SWISLY (Peak July or so)
I don't think she should release another boy-bashing song this era after UI.

WCIS seems perfect for the fall (and for a CMA performance, Ashley will have had almost a whole year's worth of practice in keeping up with Carrie on that song ;)). I can see them releasing SWISLY mid-2011, so it will still be fresh in everyone's minds for 2011 CMA season. I'm not so sure about Quitter, but I could see it being a hit as well. I'd prefer This Time, but I don't have anything against Quitter. Edit: Whoops, thought I was in the album thread. Sorry this was kind of OT. As far as Undo It goes, I think it has the potential to be the biggest song of the album. We'll see what they end up doing with it though (if they avoid a HAC/Pop adds date like the plague, the way they seemed to do with CC).

I agree that either Quitter or This Time should be released as a nice mid-tempo for a change of pace. Carrie shouldn't release another boy bashing song from this cd, as someone said above. lol 2 is enough for one cd. lol
I love What Can I Say and SWISLY so I would love to see both as singles too. :)

Can we please keep the discussion focused on "Undo It"? It hasn't even charted yet, so there's no reason to be talking about the 4th, 5th, and 6th singles.
I'm disappointed in this choice, although I guess I'm not surprised by it. I think it will be another #1 for Carrie.

^ Yeah, that what I was thinking. How come people are already talking about the next single when Undo It wasn't even released officially. Anyway, I'll go out on a limb and say it'll miss the number one spot.
