Hey, why not try and see how many "Undo It" threads we can start before it's official...
haha, just kidding, I trust Leila! ;)

Yup, I'm the source. My name alone stands up. That's just the way it works. Heck, I even post SoundScan numbers and people just assume I post correct data Kidding! Obviously, Carrie's the source (or rather, her actions and those of her videographers and the audience). Fourth time's the charm. Btw, didn't we [the oldies] agree before that thread-starters provide chart and other relevant info on the first post? I hope that still continues with newbies starting threads. *hint, hint*

haha, just kidding, I trust Leila! ;) I was thinking the same thing. I've said it before, I don't care what this next single is, as long as "Quitter" is released at some point. That's all I ask for. But really, I love "Undo It" and can easily see it selling albums and generating some digital sales. It should easily be the "Before He Cheats" and "Last Name" of this era.

Not feeling this as a single, but it's an okay track. After hearing it 20 times in a day, I may warm up to it.. that 21st play though might kill it.

I think this song will be massive because ti works well at parties/large events and it works well when you want to blast something out of your car speakers. Is it the most interesting choice? Hell no, but it has the arena-rock/anthem feel to it that will solidify its success. As long as SWISLY follows, I see no problem with this song being a single. The live tour video annoys me, but if it means her next single (which, again, BETTER be SWISLY) gets a high budget video, I'm all for it.

I'm sure this will do very well - probably somewhere in a range between "Last Name" & "Before He Cheats". I think it'll reach #1 on for at least a week or two, and likely have some degree of crossover success. That being said, I'm not really a big fan of the song - but this has sounded like single material since the first time I've heard it. "Undo It" is one of those summer songs that many people (especially girls) love to hear in the car...then roll down the windows, turn the radio up, and rock out to it. Oh, and I'm still confident with my original prediction that "What Can I Say" will follow as a single in the fall...

For everyone's future reference, we didn't need a new thread. Someone could have simply PM-d me with links to the information about the live video taping and confirmation from Carrie that this will be a single, and I would have unlocked the previous thread started on this song.
That said, it would be nice to have "chart and other relevant info" in the first post, as well as a first page that isn't completely overtaken by an exchange about thread-starting rules, so I'll let it go this time. I just don't want a situation in the future where we get another three threads started on the same song because people keep jumping the gun without official confirmation.

Oh come on Dudley, Be a sport. It's Ms. Underwood afterall. I think you should unlock all 15 threads. And now that the third single is official , it seems like the perfect time to start seperate polls on what her 4th, 5th & 6th single should be.

This will definitely hit #1 on country, but after CC's crossover flop, I'm not holding my breath for a crossover with this one.

This is such a terrible song. The music leads you to believe that the song is going to be a neat little diddy but the chorus is DREADFUL and ruins the entire song. Carrie sings it well, but c'mon, Uh-Uh-Uh-Uh-UNDO IT is such an awkward ending to the chorus.
It's a shame because there are some great songs on the CD, but the past two singles and this one are probably in the bottom 4-5 tracks on the entire disc. Such a shame.
I truly think this may break her streak, and honestly hope it does solely because it is NOT deserving of a #1 spot. Imagine if a lesser artist sang this thing. It wouldn't even go Top 40.
:( I wish anything else was released over this.

That's a good point lol. I knew someone would bring up the fact that they weren't even aiming for a crossover, which I guess is a good point.

I would call this catchy, but not country...I love Carrie Underwood however, so I suppose I'll be pulling for this song. It's bound to be a huge hit. #1 on country radio, maybe top 10 on the hot 100 even, it's possible. However I'll be eagerly anticipating more quality, traditional, country singles to finish out the "Play On" era...

I loved this song, but got kind of tired of it. It's a great track though, but personally for me I have to be in an angry state of mind to actually enjoy it. lol. However, after the HORRIBLE temporary home, I'm game for anything. I wish this time, songs like this, someday when I stop loving you, look at me were released, but I guess they aren't gonna be. Wanna bet the next single is going to be Unapologize and to end it they will release mama's song, since Carrie's wedding is bound to happen latter this year.

I can understand why they picked this; it's obviously the safe choice for the third single. But honestly, during summer, I'd rather be riding around in the car listening to "Songs Like This" than "Undo It." I love both songs, but I feel like SLT would work better as a summer song. However, I think it's a given that this will be a massive hit on country radio.

I've seen the concert three times now (including last night's show in Columbus)...and the concert version of this song completely blows away the album version. I like it much, much, much more now. I'm usually not a fan of live concert clips for the video, but if the producers are able to drive home the point that the concert version of the song blows away the album version...then this one will surve its purpose. Either version of this song was going to test through the roof with women on callout, IMO. The trick is getting enough guys on board so that there's at least any semblance of balance on the callout scales. They've done enough to sell me on it. If they can do that with other guys, then they could strike gold here.

And I agree with this: I'm not an "Undo It" fan myself, but I've repeatedly heard how the live version rocks and converts non-believers. That's why I'm actually excited to see how this video turns out. I ask the question above because I'm hoping live performance audio is used and they didn't just film concert footage to lay the album track version over. The former looks more likely though, fortunately.

Sort of, but it was a little different how she did it in this one. She just encouraged it up front, ahead of time. Before the second take, she said they were shooting a video. At that point, she instructed what to do when she sings the na-na's. She said to go wild & get into it, *especially* during the na-na's :)

I originally thought that Undo It was too pop, especially on the chorus, to be released as a country single. I also thought that if it were released, it would be a huge hit. It straddles the fence on the two genres. But, if Taylor, Lady Antebellum, and others can tweak their songs for pop consumption and not get any flack, Carrie can surely release this one. It's a hit, no doubt about it.

This was actually one of the biggest vote-getters on the FC poll. The good news is, if they're taking the FC poll into account, then Mama's Song was at the very bottom.

Well sigh of relief for mama's song being at the bottom. I would ask for a full refund on my stan card if she EVA released that mess. So what else ranked near the top?
