My station played Undo It yesterday, and they tend to wait until a single has officially been sent to radio before they start playing it. They almost never play new music early.

And there's hardly ever three different threads about a single on here before the adds date. Point being that this had been known as the next single for a while, so radio pretty much knows that its safe to play it.

I heard this played on the radio yesterday, but later I heard some girl singing along to her iPod and I'm convinced she was actually singing the "You stole my happy" line as "You stole my puppy". I really wanted to ask her if she was from this board, but I was afraid we'd get into an argument about which lyrics were correct and I chickened out.

twitter.com/idolsnow/statuses/12894774233@idolsnow is Fred Bronson, formerly one of Billboard's chart gurus. (As an aside, if you want to follow him on twitter, @idolsnow is for Idol-related stuff. "Fred" Fred is @fredbronson.) And LOL, BurnItUp (with Kerosene)! My "you stole my puppy" makes me so proud

before he cheats pt. 3 video? Nope, it won't be related to BHC (those two previous ones were directed by Roman White). Part of Undo It video was filmed live during Carrie's concert.

It does seem like that would've been awfully fast to film more parts of the video... then again, they could just use the background video from the tour.

Don't mean to sound like a hater, but could this be the song that breaks her #1 streak (including Mediabase)? I discussed this song with my mom last night and mentioned this thought and somehow, she agreed with me. As a matter of fact, all of Carrie's songs took some time to grow on her.
I don't really want Carrie's streak to end this soon, but I'm afraid that it will happen sooner or later; I'd prefer it happen sooner so I could see how much trouble is raised.

Considering that radio is already eating this up, I highly doubt it. It made it inside the top 30 before it was even sent to radio. ( Link)

#1 is never guaranteed.
But this song is more than likely hitting the top spot. It has EVERYTHING going for it - Carrie, first of all, Summer, timing in conjuntion with other singles, the song itself.
Yeah, maybe this is a guaranteed #1.

Why does this not go for adds for three weeks?!?!?! It will be in the Top 10 by then. Crazy.

Why does this not go for adds for three weeks?!?!?! It will be in the Top 10 by then. Crazy. This is a case of Carrie being such a major artist, that the adds date doesn't matter at all. Radio stations started playing this as an unsolicited track, and once it charted as high as it did it's been like a snowball rolling down a hill. Radio has jumped on it already so the adds date is irrelevant. However, I doubt it will make top 10 in 3 weeks. There is a huge gap in audience between #23 Lee Brice and #24 Danny Gokey, so Carrie might move past all the songs between her and Lee pretty easily, but then the position jumps will come more slowly as the songs in the top 20 won't just stop gaining audience...

That was the point that I wasn't seeing as a realistic goal, hitting top 10 in only 3 more weeks. On this week's 5/15 chart, Carrie had only a 2 mill gain, to reach a 5.273 mill audience total. The audience total that is needed to be a top 10 contender seems to be in that 20.5 to 22.5 mill range, based on what the totals have been the last several months, or 15 more mill that Carrie needs. So Carrie would have to go absolutely bonkers and gain 5 mill in audience per week, to reach 20 mill, to make that 3-week deadline. Not going to happen (she's only on pace for a 2.5 mill gain next week anyway). If you go with the a tad more logical 3 mill/week gain rate for her, that would require 5 more weeks for her to get there to that 20 mill plateau. And chances are, there will be at least one more hiccup week or two, so that Carrie doesn't get there until week 6 or 7 (the 6/26/10 or 7/3/10 chart weeks). It's always best to analyze the numbers, before you let the fandom overtake your good senses...

I didn't look at all the numbers, but I know it's obvious it won't be 3 weeks until top 10. And as you said, 5 does seem pretty optimistic as well, I think 6-7 is a good bet. I can see her moving up spots pretty quickly this coming week, maybe behind Danny (Carrie possibly checking in at #24). But again, it's very early in the week yet to make a really solid guess...

Do a little more research, can't you? But if you're inclined to stick with Billboard, Carrie might well want to slide into the big gap jhomes identified up above, between Lee Brice and whoever winds up leading the group below that. It does occur to me that perhaps ontheroadwith did not mean the 3-week comment to be taken literally. But that may just reflect my own experiences here. Zazie is projecting again!

That's what I thought too. Per Michael Jackson, you are not alone.
Four seconds shorter? It was short enough to start with. I haven't listened yet, but I assume the album track was just edited? For a while there, I held out hope that the live version would be sent to radio. (I assume album version because the live version would be longer, with Carrie's added hum at the beginning.)
