Clive Davis saved Whintey 's last album?....How did he saved it ,when that album sold only 2.5 million copies worldwide and didn't have any real hit single?

She's gonna bounce back with her second single from this album and that would be with "You lost me" She is Christina Aguilera one of the the most talented if not the MOST talented women in the industry.Please. She couldn't even write a hook (or even a discernible chorus) for her album lead off single.

What a narrow-minded way of looking at things. Patti LaBelle achieved her first #1 album on the Top 200 twenty-five years deep into her career. Look at Leonard Cohen -- selling out arenas in his seventies. The point is there are all sorts of career trajectories and Christina has gots the chops to be around a loooong time. People said the same about a million others that were big but then flopped and never recovered. Those people aren't on the same level vocally as Christina. That's why I mentioned Patti LaBelle. People with real talent have long careers.

And she did write the lead single from B2B which did have a hook and discernible chorus. Get your facts straight.

Did Cyndi's career ever recover? What a narrow-minded way of looking at things. Patti LaBelle achieved her first #1 album on the Top 200 twenty-five years deep into her career. Look at Leonard Cohen -- selling out arenas in his seventies. The point is there are all sorts of career trajectories and Christina has gots the chops to be around a loooong time. Of course she does. Any artist who has been around 10 years has obviously proven they have what it takes to be around a long time. The question is, will Christina step it up or bring more generic hip-hop? I love Bionic, but I do think a lot of it is rather generic or dated sounding. Not that I mind, cause the beats are still fun, but its not gonna get her a hit.

She had no hand in writing her album lead off single.

People with real talent have long careers. Because Patti is so big, right? And it takes more than talent to have a long career.

She could. I think it is really silly to count someone out who has had major hits and major cds over the span of many years because of one flop. A LOT bigger flops have come back before with the right cd and the right image. I am not so concerned about that so much as how much she is willing to change to please the public and finding that correct image.
Oh wait we are at Pulse.

Did yall see this? I hate this bitch now. Surprise! Surprise! While being interviewed on The Jonjay and Rich Show, Valerie Bertinelli revealed Christina Aguilera was mean to her during a brief meeting in 2004. She said: "Christina Aguilera, I met her and she was so mean to me. I thought you know what, forget you. She's too young to be blowing people off. She went to a Van Halen show and I went to go say hi to her. My son was up there, and she's like, 'Yeah, okay, bye'." As I walked away I said to my friend, 'Did I just get dissed by Christina Aguilera?' and she said 'I think you did!'" Don't feel bad, Valerie! Just look at what Clonetina has become. Of course she could comeback. I think Christina has lost alot of fans over the years because of her personality and long breaks but she has talent, and it doesn't take much to get a hit song these days.
She just needs better material. Bionic is great for some, but others hate it. Both NMT & WooHoo are neither ground breaking deep material or great radio fodder. And even with great promo she didn't open too well. Plus she really needs to distance her self from the Lady GaGa comparisons. True or not, it's giving her bad press.
Bionic-56 Metacritic rating(110k) Circus-64(505) I am Sasha Fierce-62(482) Funhouse-69(180) All I ever wanted-70(255) Fearless-73(592) The Fame Monster-73(174) Animal-58(152) Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel-69(168) Play On-54(318)
Out of all of Pulse's "fave" divas, XTina's album had the 2nd lowest Metacritic score(only Carrie Underwood ranked below)and had the worst opening week figures. While this album era isn't over yet, I think it would be for the best if she just scraps this ala "Fantasy Ride" and start next year at creating a whole new sound/comcept. America's forgiving(Mimi, Whit, Brit) but they won't wait around forever.

If Christina gets back to doing what she does best which is songs that require a great vocalist she can recover. Her talent is in her vocals, singing songs that require emotion and that are personal. I like the ballads on the new album, but the dance stuff is just her trying too hard to fit in.

She can come back from this if she and her label are willing to put in the work. This era has been messy and lazy, they need to step it up and provide radio with better material.

She could get MAJOR backing for her tour from whatever brand gum she was chewing on The Today Show. Product placement FTW!

Because Patti is so big, right? Hello, she's a legend. But your comment and this thread were about maintaining a commercially successful career. Nobody has checked for Patti in decades.

She was AT LEAST as successful, if not moreso, in her third and fourth decades in the business than she was in her first two decades. The point is -- if you have talent, you can have longevity.

Thats not what I said babydoll. Of course she can come back. But she won't if she keeps putting out mediocre singles and getting bad press. Several acts have been almost written off or completely written off and came back. Pink is bigger than she ever has been. (Granted Funhouse didn't do what Miss did, but sales are WAY different now.)
