Get that top 15 album Florence! Bad drop for Sara B. But she was never gonna be a big seller anyways. That said, I hope its sales stay consistent. *knocks on wood*

The previous album from Sara Bareilles is still charting, perhaps this one will have legs as well

Terrible drop for Sara, however. :'( 'King Of Anything' catching up on Pop radio will help sustain her sales. And she'll have more singles ;) YES @ Trey Songz's numbers! :)

This week, all but albums #4 and #5 sold more than the top 10 last year

Performances help, but it depends on the type of award you're winning. The VMAs aren't exactly taken seriously. Plus at this point, Gaga's already sold a ton of albums. Look at the kind of boost big winners at the Grammys get in the weeks after. Think of Norah Jones, even Amy Winehouse. Winning Grammys helps boost sales for a few weeks. Big Grammy winners also tend to be performers that night, though. I'm hard pressed to think of a big winner who didn't perform. It's actually quite odd now that I think about it that not all of the video of the year nominees at the VMAs perform. Right, but there are a lot of performers on the Grammy awards, but of those performers, the ones who tend to see the biggest sales increases are the people who win the top awards.

ouch big drop for Sara. It's a sign of an album with no legs.
