how do you know her next album will be all happy, you never know what might happen, she isnt forced to stay with the babys father, he might leave or if they break up it'll sure give her something to write about that wont be happy.

Yeah...I am sure she will be fine LOL. She is an incredible songwriter. People still go through things after having a child.

Aw thats nice. Congrats! I think the pregnancy is great for her recording career. The music she will record might be quite happy the next go around. I'm excited. It won't sell. People won't want to hear happy music from her. She's obviously gonna write (a whole album) about the pain of labor.

I wonder if the baby turned up out of the blue, uninvited.

She already said her next record was gonna be a "happier" record. This is just more fuel for that. CAN'T WAIT! She's an incredible songwriter and this will just further expand her skills. Unless he turns out to be a deadbeat and we can expect a 2 million plus opening for her next record lol.

Adele's career likely will follow Norah Jones and Sade. Artists who put out quality records for very solid, loyal fanbases.

Can you imagine if she has a miscarriage? Really? As long as we're speculating.. I didn't say I wanted it to happen.

I'm interested in how her next record will perform. People forget how you can just dramatically fall off. Hootie & The Blowfish's debut went 16x platinum but then the follow-up only scanned 3 million. Usher was the hottest star of 2004 going Diamond with Confessions yet barely reached platinum with Here I Stand.

Since her fanbase is so broad she just needs to come out with an amazing album...flip it from heartbreak to breakthrough of happiness. People want to be happy and it is still relatable.

I agree with what some other people have said. The thing that matters most is how much time she spends between albums. If people still care, they will buy her album whether or not it's as amazing as 21. It kinda sucks being in her position, cuz seriously... how do you follow that album up....?

Her career won't end but as a writer, it seems being a mother drastically changes what the songs are about so unless Adele can channel something other than being a happy mother, she might have to focus on a specific target audience. Happy songs just aren't as interesting or impacting as angry songs. But we'll see. It's definitely unfair to write her off in any capacity just yet anyway. Not all mothers are happy mothers. Many suffer from post-partum depression. Some have to put their careers on hold to have/raise kids. Plus, all the weight gain and stretched out genitalia. I'm sure she'll find something to write about.

I wonder if she'll eat the placenta. This is actually common. It gives the mother stellar amounts of nutrients to pass to the baby through breast feeding. Anyway, this page is making me laugh so much.

Alanis morissette went from diamond to double platinum with supposed former Yes, but I don't think Adele will have that abrupt and weird of a style-shift.

Adele is gonna slay her next era. Deal with it.

Haha, I think she can choose to have another huge era. If she switches it up too much though she'll probably get tons of bad press. I like practically every song she's written, though, so I'm not too worried. I could care less what happens with radio and itunes and billboard, except to the extent it prevents an artist from putting out future records. I don't think Adele's in any danger of that.
