Britney Spears heats up the dance floor like never before with her brand new single, "Hold It Against Me." In fact, "Hold It Against Me" is one of Britney's catchiest club bangers yet. She serenely croons the track's verse over a brilliantly bouncy beat that swells from futuristic to funky.
I def. can see Lenny B, Kaskade, Junior Vasquez, Groove Police & Dave Aude written all over this!

The second anyone knows of a main/instr .wav file let me know ASAP and I'll thrash out a mashup in time for the DJ's to play it this weekend, this song freaking ROCKS. Although frankly, this song is SO dancey and SO amazing in its original form, I don't know why the label would even bother with official remixes. Just give us an extended original version with some 32/32 intro & outro beats for us DJ's to play in the clubs, and that's good. If they throw out an acapella for the inevitable 40,000 fan-made mixes then even better! Of those maybe 2 or 3 will actually be listenable

This song sounds like it has the potential for a lot of great remixes.

Yeah I kinda agree that this song really doesn't need any remixes. The song is perfect as is, albeit that second chorus kind of destroys the energy of it all. If you fix that up and still keep the blasting impact of the last chorus intact with an extended mix, this would kill.

Is anyone else hearing Billie Ray Martin's "Your Loving Arms" in the chorus? There is definitely a melodic similarity. I can imagine a pretty good mashup...

I look forward to the official remixes to drop. I know it's Britney so there are 'a million and then some' bedroom DJ mixes that get done, but the officials are what i'm looking forward to.

you need to put the backing track in key first. DJMiachaelAngelo already handed it out, it's in Cm. I think it would be decent if it was in key, but at the same time I wish you'd use a bit more updated synths. I get what sound your going for, but it just really doesn't fit well with the track (imo)

Thanks for the info!

DJ Taj is reporting over at DJ Rico Mixshow that we've got Dave Aude on the mix. This will be his first commissioned Britney release since 2005's 'I'm A Slave 4 U,' correct? In other news, Che Fu needs to remix this. Wolgang Gartner too.

In other news, Che Fu needs to remix this. Wolgang Gartner too. God NO!! Have you heard Chew's latest stuff?? He's lost his touch IMO. Wolfgang did a decent job on Brit's other stuff so maybe he'd do a good job on this one too. There are so many amazing producers out there that would do a great job on this one, sadly though A&R people don't know what they are doing and always end up recycling common remixers, or just picking bad producers in general. Example: Dave Aude does a great job on remixes, but he does EVERYTHING these days and i'm really near burn out on his style. Am I alone on thinking this of him and other recycled names???

I do agree with this. Aude is nice, really he is, but he's entirely overused and while his style does evolve and has progressed, its still very much Aude and its incredibly stale these days.

There are so many amazing producers out there that would do a great job on this one Agreed. There are so many awesome remixers/producers that aren't that well-known in the US Dance scene that I would imagine would come up with amazing remixes.

The Instrumental has been released in iTunes UK =)
p.s. you can get a pretty good acapella doing the inverth method thingy with both album version + instrumental, for those who wants to remix this song :)

I love the percussion he used throughout the mix, but the chorus synths sound odd to me. I'm also not a fan of him removing the dubstep breakdown, but that was to be expected with the way he mixed it.

Not all producers are gonna wanna hear the dubstep in their remixes. Its probably gonna be divided by the DJs when they are remixing this. Some will keep it, some won't, some will add to it depending on their style.
