He's reliable about posting info like this. EDIT: you can hear Rizzo's mix on his site, under the REMIXES tab: djmikerizzo.com/live/I figured, but just wanted to be safe this time LOL. Not a *big* fan of Funk Generation mixes, and this is really no exception. It just sounds like a really good bootleg to me. I really like the percussion work but that's about it. Is there a remixer who is NOT remixing this song... why not just start listing the ones who are not. I am sure that will be a shorter list. I'm not seeing Wolfgang Gartner or Chew Fu..  :'( BOBO care to ask them? |

Paris FZ & Simo T have leaked their mix on facebook, so maybe they were not officially remixing the song at all OR their mix wasn't approved, I mean, they're even asking to spread the link for the mix everywhere... ANYWAY, it's not good IMO, just some kind of tribal-ish mix with electro synths all over that doesn't go anywhere.

I actually don't mind it. Very modern-minimal with a nice tribal edge for most of it. Their handling of the vocals is kind of a mess though. The part where they try to turn it into an anthem feels kind of off too, like they didn't have a solid direction in it.
Not bad, but not terribly spectacular.

I finally finished my extended version re-edit/mashup for this song (took me about 2 weeks too long, but hey better late than never)  Here's a sample clip: ....and you can find the full version here: www.dramamix.com/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=60 -- what I did was first and foremost use the Album Instrumental to give it a 32/32 intro & outro for all us club DJ's to work into our sets. Then I took about 5-6 other Britney acapella songs which were also in the key of Cm, and sprinkled them over the instrumental, then went back to the album version, and then the outro. I think it turned out pretty okay, the die-hard Britney fans will hopefully be impressed :) Full mashup version is 7:51 long. |

That portion sounded fantastic. thanks! actually though, that one was my LEAST favorite example *lol* I would've used more of the verses but to me the chords of HIAM just sounded too dissonant over the melody-line of BOMT. I was still happy to get an almost perfect acapella of it though, so maybe I'll play around with it in the future. I do love me some Britney! =D |

I hope we get a super amazing remix soon. A lot of these have been underwhelming, if only because I like the song so much that the remixes seem to ruin it and not enhance it.

The chorus from it over the dubstep sounded amazing though... but I guess the verses from that song were the ones I was talking about LOL. ah! ok - in that case yes I agree with you *lol* sadly, I only have a partial acapella for "Crazy" it's almost studio quality, but only the first verse, first chorus, and part of the second verse, and that's it :( I tried to filter one using the Stop Remix and Stop Instrumental, but it turned out horribly. And I don't think there was ever an album version instrumental, at least not that I know of :\ |
