I'm not "out to get you" because I like Eminem a lot compared to other rappers, but it seems your logic is blocked by your fascination with Eminem. You do know if and when Speak Now surpasses Recovery, you'll never hear the end of it here from some people. I'm not the only one who thinks it's possible.

how many people at this site steal music thru file sharing? are you the same people complaining about the state of the industry? I hope not.
That said, I have no problem with the music industry tanking, they brought it on themselves. And, releasing song after song and album after album w/ parental advisory stickers, will not help sales.

Go Katy Perry and P!nk!
Hollywood Records really needs to release another single from AYWR like now. But alas, they won't. She's already recording her third album and her first spanish album.

While iTunes has been great for consumers and the industry, there's no denying that it also has led to the album's decline. Before, consumers did not have the option to purchase album tracks and not albums. Just think of all the instances that someone samples each track and, rather than buying an album, opts to buy just the one or two tracks from the album that appeals to them.
Hopefully the final SoundScan number for #1 tops 40K- but then, it probably will drop below 40K next week.

I wonder if Mumford & Sons will get a third week in the Top 10 after the final numbers are released??

It seems clear now that if any act wants a #1 album really badly, January would be the time to release it. Any big name artist and it seems lots of smaller name artists could easily hit #1 if they released now. Even a quickly thrown together compilation from a bigger artist might even be able to hit #1 right now. Although record companies obviously still care more about overall sales than the "#1 album" label. Sales are pretty dismal now. Even Swizzy took a pretty big hit this week.

Example: Some Alexandra Burke & Jessica Mauboy songs. if theyre music was released in the US i would buy it off itunes and i have some faith in the script. but i could be really off taylors record broken why did glee increase? new episodes havnt even started airing yet

I just picked up the vinyl today, so while I didn't contribute to their first #1, maybe their 2nd week decline won't be so drastic (right).

I hope not...nothing against Taylor but if we have a #1 album under 30k...that's real real bad. Any chance Adele can break 100k?
