Doesn't she know that the sunshine state is Florida, not Cali. Anyhow, can't wait to find out more on her two roles, plus album collabo's, that exciting! Here's hoping both Whitney and MC release albums around the same time for some fun DIVA friendly competition.  well maybe CA is *her* personal sunshine state?  Anywho, I don't know if I'm too excited about this supposed Tyler Perry movie. She just seems.......above that.  I want something exciting and different for her in a movie role. Either way, I just hope this album doesn't take another 3 years to record and release, but knowing Whitney, it probably will. |

^True. That's probably her sunshine state.
It'll probably depend on what she starts first.. the movies or the album. But either way, both things can equal new music because there's probably a good chance she records songs for the films, you never know.

Oh yeah definately, she'll definately record a few songs for the movie's soundtrack, if she films a movie at all. I try to just take all these rumors with a grain of salt so I don't get my hopes up. OMG here's some video from her performance with Kim Burrell  she comes on around 1:48. The audience acts like they just seen God Her voice sounds so good! Yeah it's low quality. I can't wait for HQ. |

Her high head notes are back in full effect and her belts. Sounds promising but those screaming people make it very very hard to hear her.
Her falsetto is absolutely beautiful!

The Darkchild remix? Do you mean the Thunderpuss remix??? That's the popular one. The Darkchild remix is the slower version with a piano throughout it, it's the smooth mix. I love it, but I've never heard that one in the radio before.

Although the MDB Freemason's mix isn't as classic as INRBIO's, it's pretty damn close! They brought it with that one. |

This is the era that made me fall in love with Whitney & I still own all the maxi singles (except "Heartbreak Hotel"). Even album track "You'll Never Stand Alone" had a remix by Tony Moran, which I believe was a mashup of Whitney's vocals and the dub of another remix of his. Stop me now because I could just reminisce about that era ( MLIYL & life in general #18again) forever lol. |

Hosh Gureli did an amazing job with the remix A&R during that album era. I would also add the Junior Vasquez remixes of "I Learned From The Best" in addition to those. I liked the Disco mix he did a little more than the Millennium mix because the latter one's style was emulated in several other mixes he did at the time (like "Your Child", "He Wasn't Man Enough", "Am I Here Yet? (Return To Sender)"). He did a private mix of the Disco version which added the main loop from Evelyn "Champagne" King's "Shame." It's pure fierceness. Jonathan's mix of "My Love Is Your Love" was just . It was fantastic. I appreciated the fact that he slowed down the vocals instead of speeding them up the way Thunderpuss did. It sounded a mess. I also loved that Johnny Vicious mix of "It's Not Right But It's Okay" in addition to the Thunderpuss one. Even album track "You'll Never Stand Alone" had a remix by Tony Moran, which I believe was a mashup of Whitney's vocals and the dub of another remix of his. Stop me now because I could just reminisce about that era ( MLIYL & life in general #18again) forever lol. That one was an original production. The remix was supposed to be released on that 2 disc hits collection (on disc 2). But due to some internal issues at the label, the single and its remixes were canceled. Tony did reuse some of the production with some slight changes for a song by Elle Patrice called "Emotions" (listen to a clip on iTunes). Tony did a new remix of "You'll Never Stand Alone" in the mid 2000's. I have read that it was 2004 or 2005, not really sure. It was an even bigger anthem than the first one. |
