Wiz's label is doing the countdown thing on iTunes. 'Roll Up' is the radio single, while 'No Sleep' was just released digitally before the album.

Congrats to Katy for what seems will be her 4th number 1 from the Teenage Dream album. Definitely can't say I saw it coming, but I'm happy for her. Could she pull a magic number 5 with something like TGIF or perhaps a re-release? TBH I can't wait to find out.

Ah- thanks, Beysus. "Roll On" isn't garnering the strongest in digital sales, though- probably because it has not crossed over to pop radio. Odd that "No Sleep" would get such strong out-of-the-gate sales, while the other one (while not top 20 at iTunes after an initial struggle) lags behind. Though if the new track is tied to a pre-order thing, that usually spurs sales.

It will most likely cross over like 'Black & Yellow' and when it will his sales will increase, I think.

wow, Katy is EASILY #1 this week, and my predictions were pretty close. I thought 275k, she sold 254k, so the removal of the remix did nothing. It certainly didn't "open the door up for Rihanna" like some were saying. She's slaughtering her. Next week even more. 2nd week at #1 is most certainly a lock. Congrats Katy for securing a 4th #1 in a row.

Rihanna actually decreased in sales this week. They better put it at .25 if they want it to gain.

'S&M' has already peaked in sales and it's not going to increase much again even with a performance IMO. Radio has just been slower since it's just now approaching the top of the airplay chart. Rihanna's singles usually peak in sales when the video is released (if they aren't the lead single), from there they just hang on because the airplay increases steadily. The video for 'S&M' was released not long after the song went for adds, if I'm not mistaking.
Katy's timing is perfect. The video release tomorrow will further extend her sales lead for at least 2 more weeks just as airplay continues to explode.

Over on the Digital Songs chart, Katy Perry's "E.T." (featuring Kanye West) maintains the No. 1 position, selling 254,000 downloads (down 3%). Coming in at No. 2 is Wiz Khalifa's "No Sleep," barging in with 244,000. The Black Eyed Peas' "Just Can't Get Enough" is stationary at No. 3, though it's up 11% in sales (219,000). Rihanna's "S&M" steps up one rung to No. 4 (166,000; down 2%), Cee Lo Green's "F**k You (Forget You)" rises four to No. 5 (155,000; up 12%), and Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" slips two to No. 6 (146,000; down 20%).

Jennifer Lopez's "On the Floor" is up one to No. 7 (143,000; up 4%), Chris Brown's "Look at Me Now" drops one to No. 8 (143,000; up 1%), and Ke$ha's "Blow" breezes up a slot to No. 9 (126,000; up 3%). Thanks for clarifying about Wiz's airplay. I know basically nothing about him and only ever heard Black and Yellow by listening to the preview on iTunes, so I had no idea about where that song came from.

Sadly Gaga will have to wait until week 8 to sell 2 million digital singles, just misses that total this week. Bring on Judas. (Personally I think BTW is BY FAR her weakest single yet.)

As HIAM showed, peak position won't matter much for longevity.

Keep in mind that TTWE now shows up twice on iTunes, (currently No. 19 and 50).

I think it's common knowledge that any higher position is better. If it peaks higher than 9, may it be in the top 5 or 8, is a welcome tbh.

Then, if it peaked at 8 you'd be wishing it had peaked at 7?

Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" becomes the first album in more than six years to yield four No. 1 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, as "E.T.," featuring Kanye West, rises 2-1 with Airplay Gainer honors.

The space-age love song follows "California Gurls," featuring Snoop Dogg, the title cut and "Firework" to the chart's summit, making Perry's second Capitol Records album the first to yield a quartet of Hot 100 No. 1s since Usher's "Confessions" in 2004.

"Teenage Dream" is just the ninth album to produce four No. 1s in the Hot 100's 52-year history. It's the first by a solo female since Mariah Carey's eponymous debut set in 1990-91.

"I am so thrilled that 'E.T.' has landed at No. 1," Perry tells Billboard.com. "I want to thank all the fans who contributed to this amazing feat and radio, which has been an essential part of my continued existence. I truly appreciate all the support of my creative twists and turns."

"Can't wait to share the video with you tomorrow," Perry adds, teasing the premiere of the "E.T." clip tomorrow night (March 31) on MTV.com and VEVO.

On Digital Songs, "E.T." spends a third week at No. 1, logging sales of 254,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The song concurrently reaches the top 10 on Radio Songs (13-10; 74 million audience impressions, up 35%, according to Nielsen BDS).

"E.T." is Perry's fifth Hot 100 No. 1. Prior to her current album, her 2008 release "One of the Boys" generated the seven-week leader "I Kissed a Girl."

"E.T." marks West's fourth No. 1 and first since "Stronger" in 2007.

The song outpaces Rihanna's "S&M" (3-2) and Cee Lo Green's "F**k You (Forget You)," which rebounds 4-3 after peaking at No. 2 for four weeks. Despite its much-heralded airplay odyssey, due largely to its lyrical content, the latter track reaches the Radio Songs apex (2-1, 111 million in audience, up 7%) in its 18th week on the chart.

Perry's new Hot 100 No. 1 pushes Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" from No. 1 to 4 after spending its first six chart weeks in charge. Following his heavily-publicized "Good Morning America" appearance last week, Chris Brown rises 8-7 on the Hot 100 with "Look at Me Now," featuring Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes. The track swaps spots with P!nk's "F**kin' Perfect" (7-8).

As previously reported, Brown scores his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200, as "F.A.M.E." launches atop the album list. Another track from the set, "Next 2 You," featuring Justin Bieber, begins at No. 26 on the Hot 100.

Jeremih's "Down on Me," featuring 50 Cent, pushes 10-9 and Jennifer Lopez's "On the Floor," featuring Pitbull, returns to the top 10 (13-10). The latter title, which peaked at No. 5 for two weeks, climbs 8-7 on Digital Songs (143,000, up 3%) and 42-34 on Radio Songs (33 million, up 24%).

"On the Floor" has picked up airplay following the sales performance- but, I'd be very surprised if it got near the top 10 in airplay. Top 20? perhaps, if similar gains persist. I imagine Lopez will perform something on Idol the week of the album release- will she mime like Paula Abdul did, or will she actually attempt singing live?
