^ Yeah, when I did a search for it, it came up all over fan boards on her website and others as well. I believe it.

E! News interviewed her about her 90210 episode. Seems legit. They sometimes upload interviews to YouTube, and eonline.com. I'll keep an eye out for it.

I honestly don't know why this flopped :( It's a good country song! I'm worried that if this didn't make a splash nothing from this era will. I hope and pray that I'm wrong, Kellie is too good to be the next member of the idol grave yard. Like Lee DeWyze who was just dropped by RCA Records. Now, Crystal Bowersox was dropped by her label as well. Not going very well for the top two finalists from last year's American Idol.

What a difference one season and a change of judges/producers makes! I do wonder tho if they can top themselves next year after the great success the 2011 winner/runner up are becoming. Crystal didn't really fit into any format, she is more an underground/indie talent. Lee was more like a typical college band singer, no real direction. This year tho Scotty has been a phenom and still more great things to come. Lauren's CD is fantastic too and hopefully radio will give her a real chance. Interesting that Lauren's CD was the best selling debut week for a female since Kellies. It sad to see Kellie still struggling with radio. Her music is better than it ever was, but the climate is so mean out there for females trying to get played. Its almost like the Kitty Wells days all over again in the early decades of Country.

Agreed, and the only song on the album with any decent hook, which unsurprisingly was co-written by Kara DioGuardi, was not pushed as the lead single. The label couldn't have been THAT interested with radio play for her. She could have a very solid touring career in the vein of Bo Bice or Taylor Hicks, (these two come to mind since their debut albums were major releases, but totally misguided affairs) who never should have been on a major label to begin with. I wish her much success. Loving "Tough" by the way.

The label couldn't have been THAT interested with radio play for her. I believe that they actually wanted to lead with that song, but Crystal did not. .. but enough about Crystal. I wish that this song would have caught on more.

Kellie is performing at the Opry tonight. It's the night the Opry goes pink for breast cancer awareness. Kellie's grandmother died of cancer, so I'm willing to bet she'll perform the song "My Angel" from her Small Town Girl album, and possibly Tough. Since it's somewhat of a girl anthem. So I don't look for her to perform anything new. :/

What a difference one season and a change of judges/producers makes! I do wonder tho if they can top themselves next year after the great success the 2011 winner/runner up are becoming. I don't really think that was the reason of the success of Idol this year. I haven't been watching Idol religiously the last two years and I wasn't going to watch it at all this year until a friend of mine told me about how many talented people were on it this year. So I tuned in during Hollywood and loved Lauren, Haley and Scotty immediately. This was the first season in years that I actually had favorites that I really wanted to succeed, and was the first time I'd voted since season 6. So I know for me, it was definitely connecting with the contestants more than years past. In fact, the change in judges was the reason I was completely calling it quits. I hated the judges this year. I'm just glad America was smart enough to vote the best 3 to the final 3 despite the judges having other favorites. But to Kellie: she really needs to just continue with a more radio-friendly single very soon. Waiting won't help with anything.

Kellie just announced on the Opry that January 24th is the release date for "100 Proof." She also said they have not chose the 2nd single yet. She did however perform "Tough" and "Stop Cheating on Me."

She did however perform "Tough" and "Stop Cheating on Me." I'm not surprised that the album has been pushed back, but I am disappointed that I won't be getting it as soon as I'd like to. However, the decision was probably for the best, since Tough underperformed. That said, they need to pick the next single and get things rolling very shortly. With her performing it as frequently as she does, I wonder if they'll ultimately go w/ Stop Cheating on Me. I certainly can't wait to hear the studio cut of that, as I imagine it sounds epic. Regardless of what they choose though, they need to get on it quick! ![](http://yoursmiles.org/ssmile/fun/s0244.gif)

Well, here's some good news at least:
Looks like Kellie has a new Christmas single out. Target released "A Very Country Christmas" and Kellie recorded a version of "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" and it looks like she is set to perform it on CMA Country Christmas.

Its cool to finally see a tracklist but there is no way this record is coming out in Jan. with them sending out a Christmas single instead of a track from the album.

Yeah, plus, for country artists, a lot of their Xmas tunes chart on radio in late December-early January for a few weeks and then they just disappear. I doubt they'd be holding back a second single for 100 Proof because of minimal holiday airplay. Everyone is affected by the slowdown at the point of the year, regardless of the popularity of the artists. No one's immune.

They still need to get a new single out if they want to have a chance on it charting high enough for the album release.

I'm really interested to hear what "Mother's Day" is about. I can't imagine it's what the title makes it sound like it would be (an "I love you mom" song) since it's Kellie. I'm kinda hoping it's similar to "I Wonder" (my favorite song from her) in the vein of not having a mother around. It will be interesting to hear that one.

Awesome, thanks! I'm really excited to hear that one! In the article, it mentions shooting a music video for "Mother's Day", but they meant to say "Tough" right?

My initial thought was the same thing, but then I realized that they meant the 'Tough' video. The sentences that follow that mention describe her relationship with her father (which the Tough video highlights), not her mother. Dont know how legit this is but if this is true... this is a big deal for kellie and will give her some much needed exposure.. i so hope its true and cant wait to see it.. twitter.com/#!/BackstageWithBe/status/132186045046456320 Awesome! That sounds like something to look forward to, along with her performance on that country Christmas special that Jennifer Nettles hosts. I just wish 'Tough' could've hung on for her to have the chance to perform it on the CMAs though and get it off the ground.

Ok, we need to be getting word on what the next single is now....
But that's awesome about the Christmas special with Buble. There are numerous Twitter reports mentioned on KellieFans.com that seem to point to it happening. Maybe they're dueting Santa Baby (he recorded a version on his album) or Baby It's Cold Outside or something. I wanna hear it!
