yeah but her promo was NOTHING like GaGa's. This BTW release week has been one hell of an event.
Her promo was nothing like GaGa's? I seem to recall a couple of Target ads that ran ad-nauseum during the week of her release.
lol that ad-nauseum promoted the $16.99 target only exclusive. how many people do you think actually paid almost 20 bucks for her CD?
Taylor Swift had
TWO TV appearances the week of release. Today Show & David Letterman, both on Tuesday. And the Madame Tussaud revealing on Monday. Ellen Degeneres was the week after.

--- which i mean, more power to her. but Speak Now selling 1 million copies, full priced, WITH limited promotion on the first week was by far a bigger achievement, and that shows on the second week of sales as she almost doubled gaga's. BTW would have sold about 700k WITHOUT the Amazon deal, that says something, and again, not trying to discredit Gaga but c'mon, Taylor Swift's merits were BY FAR bigger. gaga also had a much bigger platform with television doing (several) rounds on the biggest show out there right now (Idol) not once, not twice but three times. Saturday Night Live and Oprah --- on one of her last weeks. there's absolutely no comparison.
