I just listened to the album. I'll be polite and keep my comments to myself. It's a shame. Adam has SO much potential. The songs just aren't there.

Ngl I don't like when people try to pass off personal opinions as facts. Such a pet peeve of mine. And when their method of choice in an attempt to achieve that is posting the exact same thing every few weeks for 3 years? Yikes. The video is coming out today! I can't wait!!!

^ Do you actually think he thought what he was saying was a fact and not a opinion? a pet peeve of mine is people feeling they need to inform everyone their opinion isn't a fact. I mean, no sh*t

'Whatya Want From Me" was a great song and he earned Grammy nomination for it. If you are a music lover then you should know that there are many great songs that don't sell millions just because they don't get tons of radioplay.

Does anyone have the performance to BTIKM from Leno earlier this year, youtube, download or otherwise? I LOVED it but I can't seem to find it anywhere. :(

This is a really great pop album with a good mix of dance and ballads...definitely more balanced than most pop albums these days. My favorites are "Trespassing", "Cuckoo", "Kickin' In", "Broken English", "Chokehold", Outlaws of Love" and "Nirvana".
RCA needs to do a better job of representing the album with the proper singles though. Why on Earth did they picked "BTIKM" as the lead single when there was so much stronger material to choose from!!!??!!! ???
So happy to see this debut at #1 and make history as the first openly Gay male artist to do so. Get it!

Adam Lambert on Q Radio with Jian GhomeshiAdam Lambert is back in the spotlight once again with his second record Trespassing. This time around, he's drawing back the glittery curtain of his rock star persona, exposing a more personal, emotional, and even socially-conscious side. listen: www.cbc.ca/q/blog/2012/05/30/adam-lambert-on-q/ProudFM 103.9 ADAM LAMBERT Interview in Toronto, Ontario, Canada 5-30-12 soundcloud.com/galechester/proudfm-103-9-interview?utm_source=soundcloud&utm_campaign=share&utm_medium%20=twitter&utm_content=http://soundcloud.com/galechester/proudfm-103-9-interviewLambert proud of new albumFormer American Idol runner up Adam Lambert couldn’t be happier than his sophomore disc, the funk-and-dance influenced Trespassing, debuted at No. 1 in Canada and the U.S. last week. “I think it was a real accomplishment that the album was able to chart that high without a big single,” says a smiling Lambert, 30, glammed up in black and white tie-dyed, torn pants, silver jewelry and a skunk-like blond streak on the top of his jet black hair. More: www.torontosun.com/2012/05/30/lambert-proud-of-successful-new-album680 News Video InterviewET CanadaGyao! Interview - Japan Adam Lambert NPR Interview Adam Lambert: I went on American Idol because I couldn’t get signedAmerican Idol runner-up Adam Lambert talks to Metro about why he auditioned for the hit US show, his pride at being labelled a gay role model and his new album Trespassing. What can people expect from the new album Trespassing?A lot of booty-shaking, funky, electro-dance jams. The first half is fun, upbeat dance stuff; the second half is darker and gets quite moody, exploring the harder-to-talk-about things in life. We all have light and dark in us and I wanted to reflect that. What are the darker topics? There’s stuff about self-image and self-worth. There’s been times in the past couple of years I haven’t been completely sure of myself but have had to act as if I was. There’s a song about a relationship where you’re involved with someone who isn’t right but you keep coming back and Outlaws Of Love is about the struggle faced by the LGBT community. That one’s very important to me. Do you feel obliged to be some sort of gay figurehead? If someone wants to look at me and say: ‘He’s a gay role model,’ I’m proud to wear that label. A lot of what I sing about is universal. The broader statement is it doesn’t really matter, we all want the same things. Has being a pop star lived up to your expectations? It’s been interesting. There have been fantastic, glamorous moments but then some that are quite trying. But I guess that’s life in general. Everything’s magnified. It’s like regular life but exaggerated. What have been the disappointments? There have been times where I’ve longed for anonymity again but everything comes with a price. If I have to give up my anonymity for this dream career then I’m OK with it. What lessons has the industry taught you so far?Nothing’s logical – it’s all down to chance. It’s a game. There are moments when I take everything very seriously, then others when I laugh at it. You have to be able to toggle between both perspectives. On the one hand, it’s not brain surgery; on the other I want to sing about emotionally resonant subject matter. Do you ever Google yourself? My mom sometimes sends me stuff. She’ll ask about stories that aren’t true. You have to take it all with a punch of salt. Every once in a while, I’ll get an abusive tweet but the positive ones outweigh the negative. The internet is great for people who want to anonymously spew venom. It’s extremes – either ‘I love you and want to have your babies’ or ‘die male who is into other malesgot’. You’ve built up a devoted, cult following. Why is that? I keep it as real as possible. I’m an honest person. Fans said they appreciate that. Do they take it a bit too far?All the time but I’ve learned to enjoy it. It’s charming. They’ll geek out and ask me to sign body parts. Fans have made dolls of me. Every now and then I’ll meet a fan who can’t keep it together and trembles and cries but it’s coming from a place of admiration. Are there so many talent shows now it’s difficult for people to stand out? It’s what you make of it. I auditioned for Idol because I wanted bigger opportunities in my career. I realised I’d have a hard time getting signed to a label, so I did what I had to do to get myself out there. I just tried to make my performances on the show interesting. It was helpful I’d done a lot of professional theatre for ten years. I learned how to keep people’s attention, which I used to my advantage. What’s the worst gig you’ve done?A topless production of Debbie Does Dallas The Musical. I kept my clothes on but there were naked girls on stage. I needed a job at that point. Have you worn anything you now regret? All the time. Even things from three months ago make me wonder what the hell I was thinking. The last one was a leather poncho thing. I’m too fashion-forward for my own good. Your boyfriend’s Finnish – has he taught you any Finnish?I can say: ‘F*** that s***.’ Would you go back to musical theatre?I’m happy doing what I’m doing. I’ve always loved Jesus Christ Superstar but I’ve never performed it. I’d love to sing that score someday. What misconceptions do people have of you?People think I’m a diva, but I’m not. I’m pretty easy going. I just try to put on a good show. I’ve never asked for my dressing room to be repainted or for people to sort my M&Ms bycolour. I’m happy with a cup of tea. This is a big miss for Glambert. His voice does not blend well with this sound. He has to experiment, try working with different producers. Also it feels like all songs have been half-finished, not polished enough to be great. That explains lack of single sales. They are just not good enough to be popular.

So when Brian May and Roger Taylor were looking for someone to step into Freddie Mercury’s boots for a series of summer concerts, they made an inspired choice in selecting former American Idol finalist Adam Lambert. The U.S. superstar is seen as a new Robbie Williams, but his flamboyant style and spectacular vocal range also make him perfect for Queen — and he’ll be doing the fandango with them in London next month. – Read more at The Daily Mail www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2153032/Queens-new-singer-hes-ready-step-Mercurys-shoes.html#ixzz1wY2zWhfAI’ll do Freddie proud vows LambertAdam Lambert is convinced his upcoming shows fronting Queen will prove he can do the job, although he insists he’d never try to replace Freddie Mercury. He seems to be making some inroads in Britain. Graham Norton went well and buzz seems to be increasing.

Adam is reportedly in talks with Fox to be a judge on American Idol.
No clue how much validity there is to this rumor, but still.

I think that picture above illustrates on several levels why it's just not going to happen for Adam in the US. The spikes - grabbing his crotch - just isn't very mainstream is it? He is obviously finding his nitch in the US and I'm sure his fans will remain loyal for many years. I guess that's truly what its all about. The rest of us probably won't know much about his music.
