This list just reinforces how irrelevant Xtina has been for the last few years. Hopefully the Voice and new material will get her back into the fold. In better news: Clicking "LIKE" or "FOLLOW" doesn't demand a whole lot from a fan. Buying a concert ticket, on the other hand, represents a much greater commitment. Here's a ranking of each performer's live grosses since 2009 – topped by a fairly surprising contender. The top four here makes sense: When it comes to live shows by pop divas, spectacle equals dollars. Lady Gaga's two-year Monster Ball Tour, recently chronicled in an HBO special, set the bar with elaborate sets, costumes and theatricality. But no one, not even Gaga, topped P!nk, who has gradually emerged as a powerhouse on the road. Her multiyear Funhouse jaunt took her around the world, including Australia, where she played for more than 660,000 fans, the biggest tour in the continent's history. And what were we just saying about athleticism? P!nk has restyled herself as an aerial acrobat, performing jaw-dropping spins while wrapped in ribbons from arena ceilings – a stunt she introduced to millions of TV viewers at the 2010 Grammys with a mesmerizing performance of her hit "Glitter in the Air." 1. Pink $150M Been on the charts non stop for 3 years and hasn't released a full album of new material in 2. Case Closed. BEAUTIFUL!

The only 1 that actually gets called the queen of pop, and can hold the title's Christina. Here's to the legend that's X, for inspiring almost all of these girls, and 1 of her albums basically outselling 90% of them. <3 If they do an overall list Xtina would be #1. #trufax None of these other women inspire subway graffiti: Your fave could NEVER. I don't have a problem with mixing pure Pop and Country acts. Clearly the Country acts get a leg up in awards, especially Taylor, but then some of the more rhythmic-leaning pop artists get airplay and sales over a broader spectrum of formats. I disagree. Why include acts as "the Queen of Pop" when they can't even get a song to chart on CHR top 20? And including BET Awards or awards from the 50 Country music awards when talking about pop isn't really accurate wither.

If you read the article thr whole way through, the writers admit that they knew Robyn would pretty much be dead last in everything, but included her because they think she's awesome.

This article was just worthy. It's obvious that Justin Bieber is the Queen of Pop. And what's with the timeframe that they chose? Such a weird timeframe to decide is the best time to explore the pop world

Why did they even consider Robyn or do a top 16 in the first place?

This lists highlights for me how irrelevant Christina Aguilera had become. Her stats are poor to say the least! 2 cds less than 700k scanned combined! NOt good. However, with her 'attitude makeover' and exposure on 'The Voice' her next project surely will do better.
Yes, another list with no mimi and sye had a cd out Sept 2009 MOIA and her xmas cd out October 2010 and she did a mini US tour, Twitter over 3mil followers and FACebook over 2mil so she qualified. It's clear that BB ignored her.
Whitney 1mil cds scanned, $40mil + tour but negligible social media status as she doesn't whitter or twitter as she says and just 1mil FB.
Both Nippy and Mimi have negigible digital sales and pretty much no awards although Whitney got the AMA award and a NAACP award. however, outside of 'obsessed' both of them had pretty much no mainstream airplay. Whitney's airplay came from urban ac, jazz and gospel stations.

I imagine the same reason they didn't include Mimi & Whitney is the same reason they didn't count Madonna. It seems obvious to me that they were only looking for stats on the younger popstars.

Its kinda random to just pick the last two years...guess they needed to find the perfect time frame that would make Gaga #1.

^ Agreed.
Lady GaGa is on the top of the list for a reason. They compiled a FAIR list of radio airplay, sales, concert tickets, and social media from the last 2.5 years.
Some of you must READ first and THEN react.

I suspect RS likely included Robyn after they decided to use critical acclaim as a category. Perhaps they realized Robyn was worthy of inclusion since she has the highest Metacritic averages of the female pop stars.

And I wonder if they included reviews for albums that came out before the time frame (IASF & TF)

I don't get the criticism for this? It's totally accurate. They even show you all the numbers they used to compile every bit of the list, along with commentary. All the haters are just mad they're faves are so low on the list.
You want receipts? It's all there.

Yes, Gaga was the queen of 2009-2011, but I wonder how they picked 2009-2011 as the ideal time period to do this on...
