10. KATY PERRY - Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.): 71.180 (+ 3.477)
I've stopped doubting her incredible airplay stats. I think she'll be laughing when this makes it to #1

Poor Keri... I thought Lose Control would at least reach Top 50 on Rhythmic.

^ "Lose Control" looks like it peaked in the low 30s on Mediabase's rhythmic chart.

^"Motivation" is bulleted at rhythmic, with a 410-spin week-to-week gain. Still not ranked in the pop top 40. It's currently bulleted in the top 30 at Urban AC.

Is IWG seriously the only one having 1M+ updates below the top 20? lol The radio support for her this era amazes me. IWG is getting huge updates while TTWE is not dropping as fast as her other songs before.

I like Party Rock Anthem... but it's weird to see it as a contender for #1... I hope TGIF is somehow able to go #1 fast.

13. LIL WAYNE - How To Love: 57.983 (+ 0.991) Late summer smash right here. Summer just started two weeks ago lol I think she was saying it will be a smash later in the summer; meaning it will possibly go to number one around the end of August. Given its growing airplay and steadily rising iTunes sales, it just might.

Does anybody knows if the Nicki/Kesha remix of Super Bass is still happening??? If so, I can see that song managing the #1 (Hot100) very easily. Which will be a tremendous feat: A female rapper managing a #1 album AND single.... I don't think it has ever been done before, right? Lauryn Hill did with "Doo Wop" And "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill".

^Definitely more of a hip-hop than rap, but the UK's Hip-Hop Connection publication did include it on its 100 Greatest Rap Albums list. RITD had its first big airplay decline.

She sings some of her own hooks and such, but she's still a rapper. Many rap albums have sung hooks on some of the tracks. The only difference with Nicki is that she does many of her own sung hooks (like Lauryn did on "Doo Wop)". The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is an album that is about 90% R&B, but it occasionally gets classified as a rap album because people judge the entire album based off of "Doo Wop" (1 of 2 rap songs on the album) being easily the biggest (and only crossover) hit from the album. Anyone familiar with both The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and Pink Friday would realize that there's an enormous difference in the amount of rap on the two albums.

Nicki does sing but her album contains only one track that is purely a singing track ("Save Me"), although she sings the choruses on at least half of the album's songs. Like jazzysoul said, Pink Friday is by far considered much more of a rap album than Miseducation, so she would be the first female rapper to achieve that feat.
It's interesting to see that Man Down is performing better at radio than CKB but the opposite is true on iTunes.

I see :) But doesn't Nicki Minaj sing and rap as well though? (I haven't heard her album so I can judge on how much singing she actually does.) She sings some of her own hooks and such, but she's still a rapper. I see. I haven't heard Lauryn's album in years, so I forgot how little rap was on it.

"California King Bed" is the single at mainstream top 40 radio, and based on past trends, that format impacts digital sales more than a track getting play on rhythmic and/or urban radio.
"Best Thing I Never had" is making decent gains at its three formats- did the label not promote the single to Urban AC? Did "Irreplaceable" garner any significant airplay at Urban AC? I don't recall "Halo" smashing at the format, either.
